  1. rubbish.   It has no impact on a criminal obtaining a weapon.
  2. One thing for sure...the economic stimulus in the firearms industry (unintended??) will continue.
  3. Back in 1980, I learned not to use a new, perfectly good truck hood as a bench rest (pad or not).   No hole, but had a 3/8" dia crease, about 18" long, dead center on a white hood, less than 60 days old.    Sighting in, and had a "where did that one go ??" moment.
  4.   That ain't enuf.  Some genius around here bootlegged .500 S&Ws to the skunk apes.  Just sayin....
  5. Congratulations on your escape  I have a brother-in-law who immigrated from Fresno.   Be sure to take a shower and wash off any remaining "Kali-goo" at the Arkansas/Tennessee state line.    We have to put it somewhere for future treatment and disposal. For now, we prefer to keep it in Memphis. That way, when the system backs up, we can flush it down the big river.   Buy a new gun. It's required in TN.
  6. no panic here. too broke to care
  7. unless you pay to get it back, it is not your property (you exchanged it under contract for cash).
  8. edits to top four pages
  9. Now MSM is using a new term in their reporting on the Biden witch-hunt   searching for "cultural culprits" in reference to video games
  10.           I did respond again.
  11. NRA report on the meeting - http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/after-meeting-nra-says-white-house-has-agenda-attack-second-amendment_695097.html
  12.   I hope that NRA comments on this.
  13. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/01/09/White-House-Pretends-It-Wants-A-Discussion-About-Guns
  14. I suspect they will continue to sell rifles.   But, if they support the mag ban, or outlawing/regulating person-person sales, I am done with them.
  15. And there we go.  The reason they initially declined  - already up Bloomberg's butt.   and my reply to them
  16.   Ever worked in fed .gov at DC ?   Decline, and they will get audited & regulated to death by every acronym agency in the USA
  17. When the White House requests an audience....you go, regardless of your political or financial leanings..   A worker or farmer or average Joe might get away with declining, but the cost for WM's refusal would be huge.   And considering they declined once, it is apparent they are being pressed.
  18. Question -   I keep hearing MSM reports that "gunowners" are being invited to the Bidenfest.   Has anyone seen where the NRA has actually been extended an invitation to participate?   (maybe I am just missing it)     I guess Emily Miller reads TGO (or my mind :panic:  ) -   from her FB post,
  19. Brian, have you gotten arround to ordering / purchasing your own modern sporting rifle ?   (now that you have been exposed to MSR and need to feed the addiction)
  20. heh.   KNS was not satisfied with the by-line http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2013/jan/07/ar-15-popular-it-feared/   They went with "AR-15 As Popular As Feared"
  21.     Hmmm.... Did Peeerz Morgan see this ?
  22.   You can call in the morning and ask the Region 3 office if permits are still available (or even required).   931-484-9571 454 Industrial Rd, Crossville, TN
  23.   They added a Jan 7-16 hog hunt (w/dogs) for next week on Catoosa (& Skinner MTN  ETA is Jan 18-20)   http://tn.gov/twra/regchanges.html   I think (but not sure) the permits are already sold out by walk-ins to the office (presumedly in Crossville)   Dad asked me if I wanted to go, but I won't be anywheres near it. Will be too many people & dogs. If they want the hog problem fixed, then they need to fix it, not slap a band-aid on it.   FINALLY found it.  Page 54 in reg guide.
  24. This was picked up by Fox News and other MSM are piling on.   Oops.  Let's not let facts get in the way.    Nosing around the gun forums,   The major show (Ag Center) is actually in Fletcher, NC not Ashville, and the facility is owned by the State of NC.   Apparently there was some shows at the Ashville Civic Center, but the operator backed out due to very low attendance and refusal of vendors to support the show in historically anti-gun Ashville. Apparently the city has not been able to rent it to another gunshow op.   http://www.foxcarolina.com/story/20488846/asheville-councilman-wants-gun-shows-stopped-in-city
