  1. I killt a old washing machine with a Mark III. It was DRT.  I didn't get to keep either the innerds or the Mark III cuz they belonged to somebody else.    I found the gun to be reasonable accurate.  Had no problem hitting the washer.
  2. Grab the pdf huntguide here. It is searchable. And has wma info. http://www.state.tn.us/twra/rulesandregs.html
  3. Good for them.  I hope they are very busy with patrons.   http://www.wate.com/story/23642575/big-south-fork-lodge-plans-to-defy-government-shutdown
  4. No new flavors for you!   http://www.local8now.com/home/headlines/Shutdown-means-no-new-beer-from-craft-brewers-227039641.html   ETA  - Revenooers ain't available to open hootchbucket in Paducah - http://www.wbir.com/story/news/2013/10/08/shutdown-stalls-distillery-opening/2949139/   The shutdown sure highlights places where the government should not be involved.  They are still open where it counts.
  5. Tnx! What model ?
  6. Yes. But check the TWRA regs for exceptions.
  7. I know there is at least one .17 WSM on TGO, so they must be out there.   Anyone seeing them on the shelves?  What vendors?   I am sort of interested in chasing one down, but see little availability on-line.    Thanks,   Bert
  8. They are generally polished blued, or matte blued   http://www.walmart.com/ip/Remington-Model-700-ADL-Rifle-with-Scope-.243-Win/17474411
  9. Same tools as always.   Chainsaw, weedeater, riding lawn mower, mop bucket.  And duct tape.
  10. apparently, TDR... You have already reached your social capacity.
  11. Mine (a Encore) is a 14" .308 Win with Pachmyr grips. It is time-stopping.  I have shot the same pistol in a .270 Win with wood grips.  Now THAT hurt.
  12. Biker -"let me shut the bike off. I'll be right along"
  13. 1980.  brand new *white* Datsun (soon to be Nissan) pickup truck.  Bench rest across hood (on a pillow at that).  3rd shot.  "huh, you see where that one went?" Looked down....3/8" deep groove across most of the hood... a good 30"+  Yep.  Shot a new truck.   20 years later, another truck.. not-very-old Toyota....  made the mistake of pulling a 36"  3/4" rebar stake out of the ground with 5/8" rappelling rope.  Straight through the tailgate....landed in the bed.    When pulling S**t out of the ground... use chain.
  14. Best time to see them in their natural environment is November 7.
  15. Count me in. I probably won't have all my parts together for a while, but regardless I want to take part in a build party around Knoxville or Oak Ridge.
  16. I don't want him to leave. BEST spokesman ever for the other side. He contributes so much fertile soil to Colion Noir's garden.
  17. That's the one I was listening to.  Where she went around the circle a time or two. Thought I heard two more much fainter  "crack"s  a few seconds after the first seven ended.
  18. listen closely.....two more at the end...away from mic??
  19. After reading all the accounts, I feel violated.  I need a shower.   I feel for her family.
  20. So sorry to hear of your loss.    Several of my relatives unfortunately have made the same choice.   It is indeed difficult to understand their choices.....
  21. With HD video   http://www.kmov.com/news/mobile/226129131.html   Apparently they stay hidden because of Obamacare.
  22. Chicago Tribune -   And she was NOT a shooter.   http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-capitol-hill-shooting-20131003,0,187473.story
  23. Reports are she did not have a gun.   Even for MSM, it is astounding how many versions are being reported, and most are likely wrong.   "Real story".... frustrated Capitol/DC police shoot lost & terrified black soccer mom (who could have thought about legally possessing a gun in another state if she wished)
  24. Kinda makes you hope he has not yet reproduced, and wistful for "better aim" next time.
  25. My Winchester Model 94E has a side gate, but top eject.    (ETA - sorry, still early coffee, but perhaps this helps with process of elimination)
