Close. Not as bad as Mike's story, but the cat was pretty pissed at me. (She survived for another 10+years, despite her behavior best described as a cat-moron.) It started the instant we opened the cat carrier to her new home. She joyously tore across the house, right between a set of rails, and 12' to the wood stairstep below. Right on her head. Not even home 30 seconds and we thought she was dead,

My point, is don't annoy corporations that otherwise support you.  Don't perform with wild abandon to repeat the failures of last week.  If Texas Carry wannabes have trashed relationships with two restaurant chains this month, don't try two more, because their record shows that their tactics SUCK.  Time for them to fall back and rethink how they make their point. Right now, they are just pinheads.

(as noted "over there") Neil, I was sure hoping that one worked out.    But, you are fortunate to find out definitively, and in a short time frame.    Since I have been job searching I have had a number of excellent interviews where I got "we will be in touch very soon" and never heard another thing (even when contact-by dates were promised).   A positive experience in your case, I think.  Perhaps they will have future openings...your strong presentation this week will be useful to bring up on the next one.
