In OPs case, The permit applies only to persons other than the property owner (or lessee) and charges for the service. And go to these persons for verification (the analyses should match, if not, they are wrong - but in our case they have always agreed in the last ten years or so) - 1- local Chief LEO 2- County Law Director 3 - TWRA chief enforcement officer TN state laws are very clear on property damage by wildlife. (Dad has to train deputies and TWRA officers on the subject about every year thanks to $$$%%%% neighbors who call in on him). One thing he *cannot* do, is relocate the wildlife. If trapped, it has to be dispatched.

At first, in the game cam, we thought it was a coyote. It was about 15" at the shoulder (It was ~3" taller than the trap). I will have to check Mom's computer. She may still have that video. We caught and dispatched one at 25 lbs, and the rest were over 20 (after eating 5 or 6 rows of corn, they should be big...).

We killed four out of Dad's garden last year, into our corn. Large Havahart trap, take a can of cat food, drill some holes through it, then wire wrap it to the inside rear corner. Shoot the $$$tard *before* opening the cage. Yeah, you might get a cat or two the first night or so, but they learn quickly. BTW, stake /chain the trap down. We had one (that we did not get) nearly walk off with the trap. It was HUGE. The trap door would not close.

How bad can SD lawyer be and still be deemed "effective"? Pretty bad.

Up front, Andrew should have followed TGO terms of use, and for no more than it cost, got a Vendor or at least a benefactor tag. That said, (and I do not personally know him, just read a lot) In spite of his approach, he is a known set of resources used by Drudge Report, Legal Insurrection, and TTAG, and I have seen him on Fox News, etc. Say what you want, but he has captured the attention of the media, and voices out his opinion nationally. It would have been really good to work out issues and get past the Forming and Storming stages with this guy, Boston, NYC, California or not. Anyone that can call up Eugene Volokh or Alan Gotlieb to bend their ear probably has some decent information, once past the noise. -
You are not missing much. Don't worry about it.

They have been doing this for several years. Locally, Clinton & Halls

Yeah. Do a web search for "Stephen A. Burroughs memes" It started out as a UT student pulling a prank on the guy, and he took it in great humor. -

Well, neither one is Stephen A. Burroughs  (with apologies :hiding: ....the Knoxville crowd will get it) -
Do any of you feel anxious when you carry?
R_Bert replied to bird333's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Yeah. One time at Home Depot, I got made by a teenage girl, who went through a series of pantomimes to tell me she could see my gun. After ignoring her for about 5 rounds, I walked off, with my zipper still down. True story.- 48 replies

And sometimes its just in a beat up 1982 Corolla.

That. They are Couriers. And they are all exceptionally skilled to protect their cargo. It was likely a shipment to WIPP or Nevada Test Site (waste transport) if you saw them at a mall, and 4 trucks.

I am so very sorry to hear of this. Prayers.

It took me a while, but I passed my PMP exam a few hours ago.

Admittedly, I am missing something. Apparently the "other" kids were mentioned in the journal (found by parent, forwarded to counselor). - http://www.timesnews.net/article/9078056/hawkins-teens-ages-16-and-17-accused-of-planning-mass-school-shooting How did the parent discover the journal? Sheer luck/general suspicion, or tip? I wonder, did "others" just sit on the information after being asked to participate in violence, or did they act upon it? Were they mentioned in the journal by name, or just in general? Did they come forward on their own, or were they approached via investigation (ex. routine questions of peer groups)? The more I think about this one, the more unsettling it becomes. Secrets, especially among teenagers, rarely stay contained.

Well, it is serious, but the facilities are designed to facilitate recovery from contamination events. They are uranium processing facilities to begin with, and are not concerned too much with fixed/non-removable contamination. The cleanup would have consisted of mops, towel-wipes, percoline, standard industrial cleaners. The radiation hazards would not have been significantly different (this was a series of very short lived events as opposed to reactor operations and spent fuel rods for example - so miniscule fission products in the grand scheme of things). The major exposure was instantaneous in the form of heat and neutrons, and prompt gammas (burns, internal and external from brief but VERY intense exposure). What it left behind was mostly uranyl nitrate solution in the floor (they dealt with spills all the time) Uranium is not a external radiation hazard as much as a inhalation hazard; alpha emission deposits energy to cells in the lungs, and can cause cancer (think polonium from cigarettes). So as long as you do not breath in or eat loose uranium particulate, one is relatively safe. There is of course significant anti-contamination protocols and procedures for conduct of operations, dress, materials storage, etc. including boundary control stations and dress-outs. BTW, here is a 1961 report on the incident - https://www.osti.gov/opennet/servlets/purl/16291912-2PMGg0/16291912.pdf Dad (who worked adjacent to C-1 wing and was there that day) says that the building (9212) was back in operation the same day, and that he seems to recall that the C-1 wing was back up and running in about a week. Nowadays, if that happened, the place would be shut down for years.

Thank you for bringing the thread back (I missed this one when I posted to TMF ). My pile of parts is to be my first AR-15 also. How many hours do you think you have in it (learning & assembly, as I a way behind you). Good work, looks great! I got my .204 Ruger barrel a while back, still need a forearm & stock. Then, mostly ready. I hope after this coming Friday, to be freed up to seriously work on mine. B.

Does Schermerhorn Symphony Center Ban?

heh. Welcome to TGO, newcomer. You ask much (and seem to be a bit sensitive) of a group which you only met. Stick around and watch a while before being so, well..."authoritative". -

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokaimura_nuclear_accident Here is a very similar incident in Japan a few years ago . Killed two.

As the storage tank continued to empty into the drum, it would again go critical, some 5 or 6 times I think. It was not shut down. It went out on its own.
-
It burped enough out on to the SS floor to go sub-critical. (In simple terms, fat cylinder is bad, shallow with high surface area good - allows neutrons to escape the solution, shutting off chain-reaction). Safe geometry for HEU solution is nominally 5". That drum was never intended to cactch HEU, but rather rinse water from the tank (water based- uranyl nitrate). As you might guess, safety processes and procedures tightened up after the event.

The big one. 40 years later, I would work in the same area. http://knoxblogs.com/atomiccity/2014/06/14/nuclear-survivor-bill-clark-recalls-1958-criticality-accident-life-since/#more-28584
