  1. Seems if it is an issue at all, then LEO should be contacted, not neighbors. You are not a trained counselor, negotiator, etc. Either ignore, or elevate.
  2. What we did prove to every tin-pot despot in the world is that our word cannot be trusted. "Hey, turn over your WMD and nuclear programs, and we will rehabilitate you, remove economic sanctions, and make you a upstanding citizen in the world"...."and then kill you". No dictator or regime (Syria, Iran, DPRK, Myanmar, etc.) will ever be stupid enough to even consider cooperating on major overturn or rehabilitation change based on promises of the USA or other G5 ever again. Now..they will choose their twisted sense of honor (involving bloodshed) *every* time.
  3. Ah, a matter of convenience. That makes sense. I was just wondering if there was a technical issue I had missed. Lock & Load ! Bert
  4. Dolomite, just curious, why are you tossing cases with crimped primers ? I swage mine (5.56 && 7,62 nATO with the RCBS primer pocket swaging too, RCBS 9495 Primer Pocket Swager Combo - Able Ammo. I then uniform the primer pocket and teh flash hole with a reamer. Next run through a small base body die, and collett size the neck, then trim to length. b.
  5. on .223 Rem / 5.56 Nato - If it is 5.56 Nato brass, it is more than likely crimped. I have heard of non-crimped Nato, but have not seen any yet. RCBS makes a nice primer pocket swaging tool, and is pretty much a must for any .223 reloading station. I just swage all my .223/5.56 brass. It properly sizes the primer pocket and helps keeps the primers from backing out. You only have to do it once. Most of the brass I have picked up or purchased as once-fired has been military (NATO), and has had the crimped primer. My thought on Federal brass is slightly different that Dolomite's. While they are certainly not as robust as say, Lake City, I think they are worth the effort (and get 4-5 reloads before I toss). The key is inspection. If any brass, regardless of headstamp, looks suspect....toss it. B.
  6. Blazer uses SPP a lot, and you will also find Federal. Just seperate them out and hold them until you have enough to make it worthwile to reload. Normal load data otherwise (Blazer suggests Speer #14 data for example).
  7. climber's harness, seatbelt off, rear window mostly open, cruise control, slow speed.
  8. Any tips for sources on chipped or shredded rubber tires ?
  9. Hmmmm. I wonder how a box or barrell of rubber mulch from Home Depot, etc, would work ? I also wonder where one might get chipped /shredded tires in the Knoxville Area ?
  10. I bet kwik is jealous. Publicity event went right for this guy.
  11. I disagree. Dark Side absolutely requires a Hi-Point
  12. As evidenced by Ruger's performance on the stock market (outperformed GLD), and Kel-Tec's ability to sell well beyond their capacity to produce, just to name a few.
  13. Chucky Cheese. And reconsidering that. The crumbsnatchers terrify me.
  14. Whoa. You can sure see the county line......
  15. Well, .... Oak Ridge looks like selective reporting on this database. There are no crimes or pervs south of Illinois Avenue....Roughest hoods, with highest violent crime rates in town.... But, the good news is just outside OR, we have a new perv in the hood to match up with the other three, and there have been a dozen or so thefts nearby.
  16. In the national park, would be inclined to pull the trigger at the point the hog invades my personal space. Not optimal, but perhaps justifiable to a jury. I also would carry the .44 Mag while hiking. B.

Be aware that KT has solidified their guidelines on servicing 2nd hand weapons. New purchases/ original owner, with proof of purchase/receipt, remain with a lifetime warranty. That said, even with second hand repair costs, they are a bargain. see warranty details at Kel Tec CNC I love mine, and the 5 other KTs I own. Bert
  18. KnoxNews artical Open season on hogs is not a popular move with hunters » Knoxville News Sentinel
  19. I really wish that more people would wear fanny packs (and even carry guns in them). The more "pseudo" open-carry in society, the more used they become to the thought of gun carry in public. They think the guns are all around them, and are perplexed when "nothing happens" just because of "guns in public". I want them to meditate on stuff like that. B.

    Can you add...uh....ummm....nevermind
  21. I love the fact that a several of the Commission does not list email addresses in their contact information. Email info for every other TN government official in the state is easy to find. How does one get appointed to the Commission ? Are there any published criteria for applying ?
  22. You ever get through the Knoxville/Oak Ridge area ? I have some CCI Large Pistol Magnum, and maybe a spare Federal Large Pistol or two. I would not want to travel very far, but if we just happen to pass by, would be glad to trade a few K of like brands. Bert
  23. a welcome to the "scruffy little city"!
  24. Don't shoot your live trap with a 12 ga. It bends up the metal, and makes holes big enough to let the next critter out.
