  1. or (using an old bag), a quart of mayonnaise under the top layer of p-nuts.
  2. I'm thinking....  I probably have 15+ backpacks & totes laying around. Several friends the same.  Now to fill them back-packs up with foam p-nuts and take a gang to the movies.  Let the mayhem ensue.   B.   edit to add - so... I had a another thought on this - foam p-nuts ........setting on top of a balloon inside the bag.  Use your imagination for the rest.
  3. but not the junction box.   Of course, If I were a d*** employer, there might be a electric fence charger nearby.
  4. Sorry about that Big K, and also your trials Vontar.  It is amazing how low and how stupid organizations can dive.  But, they seem to always find the lowest common denominator.   For me, I was not so fortunate to simply get an email.    I was returning to my office from a meeting with a colleague in another building. They met me at the elevator with a armed guards (on an open campus), at lunch time, in a crowded building..... and likely just to publically shame me.  To compound, they also followed me out of the site under blue-lights.   All over charges of "insubordination". No threat whatsoever. And then they lied about why I left.   It was indeed humiliating.
  5. It seems that a bit of "corporate training" would have been a much better solution to an "endemic" problem, rather than blowing the foot off of a facility.  This one will likely show up on a seminar slide-show.
  6. and considering the anaerobic activity, it's a good idea not to asphyxiate ones *** trying to access the "supply".
  7. Everything except Pizza Rolls.  And I would probably get myself killt over them, considering my current address.
  8. Who puts a blue cap on a beer bottle?
  9. I never get past "abort, ignore, or retry?".
  10. This is why my carry weapon is the firearms equivalent of a rock.  My expensive (or even good) ones are always in the case except when actually shooting them.
  11. Next season, have kids or grandkids put a veggie garden in your yard.  Land-owner trapping of nuisance wildlife in a garden is allowed in TN.
  12. What is really funny is that TWRA will allow tree-rats & rabbits, to be hunted with a .17WSM, or any rimfire for that matter (no matter how big it is), but won't allow any center fire pistols. That .17 WSM goes a heck of a lot further than a .38 Spc or 9mm.
  13. that changed a few years ago when at least one person (ahem) pointed out the ballistics data of a big bore snubby (i.e. Ruger Alaskan) vs. all the small crap in 25 cal 4"..   Any centerfire pistol may be used on big game (except turkey), (unless they changed it back this year).
  14. I found some really nice Ukrainian Porter and dark ales
  15. I beat the demons out of mine with a hammer.  It turned off OK, but now I can't find the power button to get it back on.
  16. From Chicadishu, to anywhere, but mostly Knoxville.   I make it home about once a month by road.  Hoping to add a weekend to the mix.
  17. What's the best web site to book cheap(er) air fares?   Thanks,   Bert
  18. yeah, ever since I downloaded Windows 10, my Mac ain't been worth crap.
  19. Booze keeps duh masses sedate up here.  As for the "great outdoor" stores,  I plan on depressing myself at Gander in a few weeks.  It and ChicaBassProDishu are pretty much useless visits to a Tennessee boy, but I pass by them several times a week (H4198 was ~$35/lb, BTW - I have no idea if I can buy it here).  At least the food at BP is the same as in TN.  Not a bad salmon salad, actually, and a decent aquarium. (overall, the store is much smaller than Kodak)
  20. also look up Scott Hewitt - hewitt1982@comcast.net , (865) 457-3221, or (865) 253-4663   He and his dad are great to work with   Bert
  21. I dropped by the Chicadishu Bass Pro just a few minutes ago.  They have plenty of ammo. All I did was depress myself.    If you think Wallyworld has booze, you should see Shop & Save.  And they have about 5x the grilling meat.  It's incredible.  (and, like a gat, I don't have a grill up here either, but I will bring a cooler of meat back to TN next trip down.)
  22. not since post #17, and about every reply I have made as a non-resident in this hell-hole up here.
  23. SAF lawsuit re non-residents & IL   http://www.saf.org/?p=4451
  24. living here (as a non-resident), I find it not hopeful.  I have not found one official giving hope for non-residents like us from TN.  Indeed, it is why A. Gura and SAF has a lawsuit against this third-world place.  Sadly, it is not limited to firearms, although alcohol is very much encouraged (just like other totalitarian states. It numbs the senses of the inmates).
  25. But, it is all meaningless -   HOW DO I TRANSPORT A FIREARM THROUGH AN ILLINOIS COMMUNITY WITH AN ORDINANCE THAT PROHIBITS FIREARMS OR HANDGUNS? Illinois’ Unlawful Use of Weapons law does not preempt local ordinances from banning fi rearms. Persons carrying or transporting fi rearms through such communities could be subject to local fi rearm ordinances. It is recommended that you contact local authorities regarding their fi rearm ordinances.
