  5. Don't over-analyze it. It was not intended to be logical. They never are! Pretend you are Bella Pelosi, and you will get it.
  6. Of course not. My title & intro on this was not intended to slam them, but the goobers that will latch on. But wow, 700+ yards! Clean through a house. B.
  7. /sarcasm:rolleyes:
  8. The Messianic Jews I have met have been incredible people. That church provides a great platform for folks coming across from Judiasm to Christianity. For someone *not* steeped in orthodoxy of Judaism, it is a lot to learn and keep in practice, but very rich in culture. We work alongside some Messianic Jews in several of our missions and outreach ministries, and have a few attend some of our services as well (we are a large contemporary interdenominational congregation). B.
  9. Obviously we need to ban firearms - Mythbuster’s Screwup
  10. My take on it is attendees & observers often confuse "religion" for faith, and many "Christians" are not oriented towards real worship of Christ as defined in Scripture Reference Matthew 25:34-46 & 1 Samuel 15:22 Oh yeah - Most of us are already "educated beyond our obedience" anyway. I know I am. B.
  11. Me, I just have a thing for odd or mis-fit guns. I really like the CJ in Stainless - Rossi USA

  14. Live trap (from Walmart, Farmer' Co-op,Tractor Supply, Gander Mtn etc,) & peanut butter mixed with sunflower seed . Even bird seed works. I bet my dad has caught 50-100 of them out of his garden that way in the last 20 years. Something like this. http://itzahomething.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=&products_id=265332 I have seen them around town as low as $19.95 Bert
  15. Looking at their website - 1. They allude to non-FFL dealers (requirement for Non-FFL seller to get a background check done by a FFL) 2. They don't come to East TN. Good.
  16. hmmm... maybe time to invest in a flock of beater Hi-Points.... "Officer, I was in so much fear for my life, but I am think I maybe fired this one...."
  17. Glad you had fun! Yeah, I did not intend to direct you toward a case trimmer (I don't trim .380ACP either), but just to help you understand where the variances were coming from. As Jonnin and others say, it is not worth the the effort to get too excited for small differences +/- .010".
  18. Folgers coffee cans make great storage. During operations (and some storage), I use the Gladware type containers. Lightweight, tight lids, durable, cheap.
  19. Heh, a little radiation is not nearly as dangerous as the lead itself, or certainly application of the lead at high velocity. They used to sell bricks out of Y-12 and ORNL all the time. I would cast with them in a heartbeat. Treat it like normal lead..don't eat or breath dust & vapors, wash hands after handling. You'll be fine. B.

  21. Personally, I would think liability issues would outweigh any benefit, but....that said, giftcards, not cash or checks.

  23. I was hoping, but alas; The understanding I have (from the local news) is that they cannot receive a higher sentence, so only one of the 4 has a chance at being put down. edit to add - I hope this is not actually the case.
  24. Heh, Knox News Sentinal commenters are bidding on them already. Turn in a gun, get a Kroger gift card » Knoxville News Sentinel

    Kel-Tec PF9

Thoughts on Kel-Tec PF-9 guide rods - Be sure and do your research on the Kel-Tec forums before going to steel guide rod. It is problematic in the PF-9s. There is a camming action that the polymer rod absorbs, so some folks report wear and damage from the steel rods. If you are original owner, you can certainly get a replacement polymer rod from them, and most of the time, they will send one out even if you are not first owner. Bert
