  1. That is georgeous.
  2. What Garufa said, and the 45 Colt can easily be 2x CUP (pressure) rating of the .410 ga Prime Directive - follow the MFG specifications !
  3. Those Lock'N'Load die bushings are pretty attractive..., especially with David's endorsement I seem to recall
  4. Great speech by Wayne.
  5. ? Archery is legal for the entire statewide deer season, right ? (2011-2012 regs, page 28). Now, 2010-2011 *was* as you say.
  6. I received a positive response from Rep. Tony Shipley (House leadership) who is a co-sponsor. Anyone who is in his district be sure and affirm his support.
  7. I sent my thoughts to my legislators and their allies, leadership, Speaker Harwell, and Gov. Haslam.
  8. I think that if the people of TN want it, then they will do it, but, the sportsmen would not elect commissioners; Rather everyone in TN would (sports/hunting minded or not). In the end, it would be just as politicized, if not more, like county commissioners.. It was that way before the current system, and old timers tell me that nowadays, despite problems, hunting, regs, and wildlife management are much improved compared to pre-TWRA & commission. I think we are able to accomplish more as a whole within the current system nudged along by our persistant persuasion of our legislators, TWRA management, and the governor. I also think that faced with legislative wrath of this year, they are particularly receptive to ideas. On fees, age 51is one of the price breaks in Lifetime licenses - http://www.state.tn....imelicense.html
  9. They are fairly accessible - Contact TWRA Commissioners . The few that are state employees can be looked up on the TN.gov directory for phone & email as well. Copy your correspondence to your local representative and senator. That gets their attention. As far as fees, I turned 51, so sent in for my lifetime permit. My buddy paid out $200 ea for all his <3yrs grandspawn last Christmas.
  10. It's like turning a barge. You have to keep the pressure on it.
  11. Man, time slips by fast. I still need to write up my input....... Deadline Feb 24 Last year, several issues of mine were addressed favorably; need to push for what you want.
  12. When viewing threads, location of the poster used to be under their avatar. That was a nice feature. As for the light screen, I love it! The contrast is perfect for my old eyes.
  13. My dad has the same 742. He has given it real character. For 25 years, it has been wrapped up in bubba's best camo duct-tape. The gun is so sticky & gooey it doesn't need a sling. Just slap it on your jacket and go. I have the same Nylon 66 BTW. Bought it from JC Penneys, when I was 8 years old.

  15. Fee is standard, per box. They think "handgun" ammo is adults over 21 only. Me, I only buy for my rifle, regardless.
  16. we truly live in strange and troubled times..
  17. Would not recognize Sarah, but would be polite and respectful to both. and yes... the owner and Stacey can say anything they like. I am not sure which side is on the higher ground right now, but I am not inclined to patronize *anyone* who publically humiliates me (or others) in front of guests.
  18. Just imagine the headaches the pard dispatcher had....
  19. Yup. It just became a civil rights issue by her admission of discrimination.
  20. well, this is special.... Anyone hear the radio interview mentioned ? - Camp4u: Klan good, Stacey bad.
  21. Even taken "straight"...that 1637 Oxford definition is not flattering.
  22. Stacey listens to his electorate, and basically runs unopposed ( I know the guy that last ran against him). He has been in hot water before, and will get there again. If anything, he will get a bump in the polls of his voters just because of his "balls". Every state needs one of him to balance out the kook on the other side.
  23. I don't think they are corrupt. I do think their media relations could be improved. I am, admittedly, entertained by their manner of resolving the issue created by "boneheads vs bonehead".
