  2. David, the WC842 I got from you yesterday meters *extremely* well. No .204 Ruger load data for 34 gr Dogtowns, so I am scaling up from 35 gr Berger data for CFE223. I have rounds made up at 27.5, 28.0, 28.5, 29.0,29.5, & 30.0 grains @ 2.250" (SAAMI OAL). Running CCI-400s to start with. Will test (and see how they chrono) tomorrow hopefully. Nice powder, Thanks. Bert
  3. Last year, some kids on Royal Blue poached an elk, with a .22LR (they later bragged, and got busted).
  4. Did y'all see anything ?
  5. Nice !! http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/xt/XT17.asp
  6. Yes you are misunderstanding. You missed page 16, "Hunting Hours", and page 19 "Legal Hunting Hours" ( para #1) 30 minutes before sunrise, and 30 minutes after sunset, except for certain species (but not coyote). The nighttime species are shotgun only, when firearms are allowed (looking for cite). Looks like use of center-fire rifles is prohibited, but not rimfire. Pg 18 chart , note 5 Need law degree to understand the regs....
  7. Title poorly worded ? If not, I bet you are in Indiana, not Knoxville Hunting coyote *after dark*, and after dark with a rifle, is bad TWRA juju in TN. B. edit - apparently rimfire is allowed for species for which night hunting in TN is permitted (ex. raccoon, opossum).
  8. Now go get one. If suggest a Savage 93R17 (a buddy owns one) or if you are really upscale, a Henry Golden Boy (I have one). Both are awsome little guns and shoot very well. B.
  9. dropped a deer with a rimfire ? Curious, How was that legal ? In TN ?
