at $45/mo "unlimited" (which is apparently still data limited, BTW to ~4GB per mo), it is a hard plan to beat. Then, they have also announced a "unlimited" International plan, at $60, which is a phenominal deal. I just prefer upgrading to a Android, but a simpler smartphone will do if I have to. Verizion Unlimited Single Line is $90 voice/text + $30 for 2GB data

WM rep today said per their fac rep, StraightTalk was going to release a CDMA Android on Verizion platform. Samsung Galaxy Proclaim, stock# 550322539, $179.00; Should start hitting stores ~20th. Not all stores will have it (in fact did not show up on their order form yet). Saw no evidence on da interwebs yet. Will be watching.

I am struggling on updating to a new cell phone service, and like times before, pulling my hair out looking for reliable info on coverage. I need to make decisions and act by the end of the month. I would prefer an Android, and Straight-Talk (Walmart) looks pretty good, but local WM's each have 2-3 stories depending on day & clerk. - need international calling. Anyone using the new plan from Sraight-talk ? - Need coverage in North Cumberland WMA/ Royal Blue (Verizion carrier works fairly OK,) - (and to really bone things up) need coverage in Piketon/Portsmouth Ohio area. Anybody got experience / insight on any of these things ? Thanks, Bert

me too. I am not wired at all for that. Besides, my voice is what the mute button was designed for. I have a face for radio as well.

Well, There will be wine, maybe other drinks as well (Jesus said he would be leading us in a toast at his big dinner ,don't need food, but able to enjoy it), and I personally have no doubt friendly games of poker & other recreations. Given that God defines sexual relations in the context of marriage, and Jesus said there would be no marriage in heaven...I am not holding much hope on sex, but am confident that the benefits will greatly outweigh that particular omission. . I hope that your aunt and uncle indeed run across each other. Relationships continue (and are even healed / restored when needed), and I am confident that it is a whole lot better than they expected.

You will see in the teachings of Christ, that He often indicted religion (with just cause). Paul's words even went as far as to indict religious "Christians". Ironic that Twain's words are also an expression of grace (although Twain intended them as an indictment of God). It's too bad Twain did not have a better understanding of Heaven and what God has in mind for us there. For an amazing read on the characteristics of heaven, I suggest a book by Randy Alcorn - "Heaven". Traditional images of boring worship, singing, & harps are not accurate at all.
-
There is indeed much theology behind Mr. Twain's statement. Theologians refer to it as the 'doctrine of grace'. (and if you make it in there, your cherished pet will be waiting for you...God likes to make folks happy, that's why he calls it Heaven) My favorite quote is from Jim Elliot (1927-1956) - "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose."

So, you guys might want to meet up with this guy, he is way ahead of you - http://dailycaller.c...ry-of-all-time/ Reminds me of a question to ask - has anyone done any real research, and produced truly rational and logical reasoning as to why Hell would be a preferred choice ?

I don't find it offensive, and thought this thread in particular has been pretty tame. I was going to say I am comfortable in who and where I am.....but really not so. I struggle daily, My recent failures are monumental, life-changing, and will have life-long repercussions. I cannot judge anyone, for I find myself standing before God every waking moment (and much so in my dreams as well), especially over the last 22 months. I do not know why, but He has responded to me, not with anger, condemnation, persecution, but rather with compassion, mercy, grace, peace, and understanding, hope and restoration. It has forever changed who I am, and how I respond to and regard Him. I am beyond offence in regards to my faith. It is not mine to begin with. I lay it at His feet and cry for mercy.

talking about waking up to "hair of the dog"....... -
Good question - so like the inquisitive heathen sinner I am, I googled "why does God condemn those who never hear the gospel ?" Turns out there are explanations which make sense to me, anyway. All of them boil down to "He doesn't. He is a gentleman and gives us a choice". This one is pretty good - http://kwok.blogs.com/camp/2009/04/why-does-god-condemn-those-who-have-not-heard-of-the-gospel.html As specifically for the concept of Jews going to hell, well they all have they the same (well informed) choice as their Heroes of Faith that were declared by God to be acceptible, including Abel, Enoch,Noah,Abraham,Issac, Jacob, Sarah, Joseph, Moses,Gideon, Barak, Samson,Jeptah, David, Samuel, all the prophets, and many more mentioned as such by both Hebrew and Christian texts. In the faith of the Jews, and the Christ followers, the two choices have always been the same (keep the law...and keep it perfectly, or believe by faith). Just one was a whole lot easier than the other. I also am intrigued by the use of the word "faith" in context of beleivers. What do they mean when they use the word? - That I found here - http://bible.cc/hebrews/11-1.htm . Various translations, and a number of commentaries. So, it still boils down to personal decisions, and personal responsibility. We are each solely responsible for our destiny. We have no one else to blame but our selves. God is not condemning anyone, but abiding by their wishes.

Again, it reverts back to *who* is the judge. Being articulate is not a requirement for faith. In fact, some religions and faith do not require extensive doctrinal knowledge of followers. In my case, I have articulated no faith at all in this discussion, and have given no reason for my beliefs (or even what they are). I have simply followed logic. That said, I have yet to meet someone, agnostic, atheist, Buddist, Christian, deist, Hindu, Islamic,Jewish, Mayan, pantheist,Shinto (and whatever additions in alphabetical order I can come up with) who cannot in some form explain their reasoning for their beleifs. Thus, what you might describe as "willful blindness and ignorance", the followers of those faiths and religions would probably rather consider as "committed".
-
OK. Then by your reasoning, there are *none* fitting your definition. For all who believe, regardless of their religion, understand their personal reasons *why* they believe and participate in that faith. *they*, or their diety, are their judges. Not those of us who do not understand their beliefs.
-
That does not answer the question at all. Who makes the judgement, and by what standards are the judgements made ?
-
Question...who defines "blind belief and willful ignorance" in regards to faith (and how is it defined)?

I sure this is a simple misunderstanding. More than likely, it is actually GSA/Vegas & a few "undocumented" immigrant "social workers". -

Heh, Just a little electile dysfunction. Nothing to see here, folks. -
The TN rules do allow baiting (by landowners). they also say - Landowners must keep accurate records of total number of hogs killed on their property. This information must be provided to the TWRA on the Wild Hog Methods Exemption Report form provided by the agency within one month of exemption expiration. I wonder how many have been reported in TN ?

Character is not a variable; rather only the exhibit of resolved strength thereof. (if you don't have it, you never had it.) -

Time to step down Mr. Ramsey. Take Beth with you. "wiggle" words are void of truth and meaning. -
Same thing happened to me with Stephen A. Burroughs.....

I contemplated meeting Chuck Norris. He dismissed the thought and I no longer existed.

And to really screw things up,.. I use an old hand-me-down beater 870 with a Comp-N-Choke 3X Full. It just happens to be what is on the gun. I have seen Dad over 30 years use 4 different guns and any number of chokes trying to find the "right" combo. He asked me the other day what I used to kill the bird I got. "2-3/4" high-brass #6, regular Winchester". The old man just shook his head. All that training gone to waste (I used a "light load" because it was what I was used to and knew what the gun does, could get off a second shot without rattling my brain). So, Practice shooting your gun. Aim right, hit what you aim at. Worry about optimum loads & chokes some other time. You ain't gonna solve it this week anyway. Enjoy the experience, learn to hunt (quiet, unseen). The gun will work itself out over time. B.
