  1. Heh. How about Mayors Against Illegal Skillets ?
  2. Curious, MAIG has been known to "pad" thier list by adding mayors. I wonder if Burchett or Rogero are on the list? Memphis - Mayor A C Wharton Oak Ridge - Mayor Tom Beehan
  3. Heh. There are days I miss junior high. Seriously, this old feller at the liquor store is lucky he is not charged with attempted murder. If they find the "victim", might get it after all ? No apparent threat
  4. dude... what are you thinking ? Where is your mind ? (+1 for you !)
  5. Faced with threat of receding liquor, clerk (sans permit) shoots at getaway car. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2012/may/01/police-charge-liquor-store-employee-who-shot-at/ Life is hard enough on its own. Life when stupid is impossible to overcome,
  6. Last thing that went through the perp's mind ? The skillet of course !
  7. Public Service Announcement follows: Never point your skillet at anyone unless you are prepared to pull the trigger. boo!
  8. Cheesy Mexican cornbread!
  9. from the kitchen - http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2012/apr/30/man-hit-killed-with-skillet-no-charges-filed/
  10. I have the SUB2K in a Glock 19. Love it, and have no issues with accuracy or feeding with Khan 33 rd mags. If you need to try one, I am somewhat local to you. B.
  11. cool! I'll try it in the interogative (with a "?") Voldemort? edit - Awesome ! If I was the admin of a privately owned board, I might use "Rumplestilskin"
  12. I was out the other day, and somehow left my drivers license at home. Had to use the carry permit as photo ID on a Olive Garden bill. Blew the young server kid's mind (all good). He came back three times asking various questions (suprised he did not ask if I had a gun on me . )
  13. Norton Security Suite (Comcast package) & Spybot are (still) fine with it. All up to date here. Checked today's history file. Nothing blocked except Google Earth update (I set it that way).
  14. An analysis of grass-roots activities including a take on Safe Commute - http://bluecollarmuse.com/2012/04/27/grassroots-vs-legislature-is-a-lose-lose-scenario/
  15. I am sure it has battery backup, tho...
  16. The power switch on the lower unit needs additional positions of "warm-up" and "stand-by"
  17. I am putting it on my Outlook Calendar.....
  18. My wife has a locked steamer trunk, that I have never seen the contents in 24 years of marriage. I am Just fine with that. Probably is where she keeps the old BF.
  19. II did see that $60 international plan on the Straighttalk site. Might be worth just getting that with a cheap phone. I can get Android phone,or tablet or hotspot later. One of the reasons I dropped Verizion a long time ago was coverage in the boonies (I-75 in KY). Now, in the boonies of Royal Blue, Verizion is great, AT&T not only sucks, it is pretty much absent (a mile removed from Interstate or Hwy 63). A buddy of mine has it solved. He has a international work phone on AT&T, a blackberry on Verizion, a *second* home cell on Sprint, and then a separate data package on Verizion.
  20. Sad to see Mr. Bass and Mr. Faulk depart. I don't blame them. I would too. I would have been satisfied with a floor vote on both sides of the house, regardless of outcome or even the Governor's approval/veto. For me (and I had communicated this to legislators), this was the Diogenes Issue of the session. The light fell very short in this calculated abortion of the legislative process. The light of truth did however, expose the decay and rot. I hope the legislators remaining learn something from this experience, but,...... probably not. BTW, of the *dozens* of legislator replies I have received, Only one person has been consistent, transparent (even in disagreement), and voted all the way through the process exactly like the views expressed to me, In a nutshell, as an engaged citizen, I seemingly wasted hours of my time and energy...
  21. Who was your source ? (The Straight-Talk division rep had emphasized 3G. edit- just called and verified again, same story) The Verizion authorized dealer that I spoke with was telling me a whole lot of out-right lies. I have been meaning to drop by one of the two authentically Verizion Corporate stores in the Knoxville area and compare thier line. One is in Turkey Creek, the other is next to a Target, Clinton HWY, I think.
  22. Stacy's review and perspective of the Safe Commute (not "Guns In Trunks" please Senator) issue. Be sure to follow the link to the letter he mentions also. Plenty of rot to go around. Definitely need to keep flipping the compost pile (including maybe in our own ranks ??). http://lastcar.blogspot.com/2012/04/not-such-good-plan.html
  23. Nope, but they don't try to hide it either.
