  1. Great job very nice EBR!!!
  2. I just read that to my wife and she said it was awfull but very funny!!!
  3. Thanks I have been checking into a few places around here. I might try and ask my co-workers if they have any land I can hunt.
  4. Wow sucks for the girl and family but playing in front of cars is a big no no.
  5. I need to find a place to hunt in Rutherford County. I need to check out some of the public land.
  6. It depends on the call. I have heard some mouth calls that were louder than some of the cheap E-Calls. So I guess it depends on the speaker and the sound quality of the E-Call.
  7. Things I would look for is first off would be sound quality and distance the call travels. Remeber if you hunt in the woods you really would need something that is going to be loud and be able to carry through the hollows and ridges. If you hunt open fields/areas then it wouldn't be a problem. Sound quality would be my biggest issue since that is what they hear and if it has poor sound quality it may not convince them to come in. You could always try and make you one. Look online and see how to "build" you a coyote call. Mine consist of a CD player, amplifier and speaker. Pic of my setup.
  8. Look at the Johnny Stewart's calls.
  9. I use a Timberghost that I got on ebay. I don't think they sell it anymore, it does work good though. Would like to get one with a remote though.
  10. Good quality ammo such as Hornady 40 grain V Max is right there on price range as the 243 ammo. On the other hand for plinking and practicing the 223 will be cheaper in the long run. I sight my AR in dead on at 100 yards as most of my shots come under 100 yards. This way I don't have to compensate but very little for those dogs that get in real close. It is all personal preference though as with the gun, ammo and setup i.e calls, etc. It never hurts to have a good 223 though. Hidalgo has a good point about it being enough of a rifle to use in TN. I have killed deer and coyotes with my 223's so I have no problems trusting the round.
  11. Yeah I am weighing my options right now.
  12. Thats what I didn't want to do but wasn't really for sure if I had to replace the barrel or not. Thanks Kegger.
  13. I have a 20 inch upper with rifle length handguard and gas tube. I was wondering if I could change the rifle length handguard and gas tube to a midlength handguard and gas tube. I want to shorten the handguard but I wanted to make sure I could do this before I go messing up things and that it would function properly if I could. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
  14. A big smile on my face as my 5 year old daughter was opening her gifts! I also got some other good stuff to.
  15. Glad to hear from ya. I got me an AR with a 20 inch barrel in 223 can't wait to kill some coyotes with it.
