Very nice rifle. I own a BAR and love it but I find myself using my bolt action Weatherby Vanguard .300 Weatherby Mag more. Love my bolt guns.

I've always looked at this way. If your hunting from a tree stand I say compound bow but personally if I'm hunting in a ground blind I would use a crossbow. It's all personal preference though. Shoot what's comfortable.

Well its over. My daughter and I finally got some time together but it just didnt happen. Had a few close calls and she even passed on a jake. I told her to shoot it but she wanted a long beard lol. I guess im teaching her right.

Not the best video ever but it will do lol. I was using a GoPro camera with a head strap mount. This was my 4th and final turkey. Like I said not the best video in the world. Not gonna lie I was nervous. I had so many close calls on my 4th turkey it was killing me when he was coming in. I had to climb over a stone fence and barbwire fence to get him. I am tagged out. Got my last bird yesterday evening. He came in gobbling and I shot him at around 45 yards. He had a 6 1/2 inch beard (he had beard rot) and 1inch spurs. My goal was to harvest 4 mature birds so im happy about my season.

Had them gobbling but never came in. Went to 4 different properties.

Had one a couple of days ago hang up at about 80 yards. Had some jakes come in but didnt bother with them.

Whiskey I actually pulled all my decoys out and turkey fans. Thought I would change it up a little.

Same thing for me as well. Woke up this morning to a stomach virus. Hopefully my good fortune hasnt ran out lol.
