Moving depends on several things for me. First if the wind is blowing I may call in 2 or 3 different places, the wind will carry your sound just sometimes not were you want it to go. Also on how much land you can hunt on that particular track. I have 200 acres out in Milton and I will call in 2 or 3 different spots and have good luck doing so. If nothing I move to another property and start the calling all over again. I do use MP3's here are some websites that I use, besides my foxpro sounds. I like to hunt in the mornings, I try and get setup 30 or so minutes after daylight this gives the coyotes plenty of time to get back their dens from hunting the area. Coyotes will feel comfortable going back just after daylight since they were there not that long ago. As for evening the only downside is I have called and called until legal shooting hours were over only to get up and pack everything up and the coyote decides to come in after dark and I get busted. Coyotes are smart and can become call shy. They will associate your calls with you and may not come into those sounds for a long time, thats why I try and switch up sounds to kinda confuse them. Yeah believe it or not turkeys kill a bunch each year. Also land development and I think the state should be more active with our quail population.

Heck yeah we will try and make it happen, would love to try and call one in for you.

My daughter is 6 and she can shoot with my help my Howa 243.

The working hard part makes it worth while when you harvest an animal. You should work hard when hunting it kinda gives respect to the animal.

It is a great skill to learn. I'm sure your brother-in-law will show you how to skin and even gut one (the best part of cleaning a deer)

I live in Murfreesboro also and anytime you want to go you just let me know. I will do my best to call one up for you or heck anyone. I love calling them, yeah shooting them is fun to but calling them in close is awesome nothing like it. I guess I like the fast pace of it. Call for 20 or 30 minutes then pick up and move and repeat the same process.

You could always take me i'm up for calling in some yotes. I went Monday called one in shot him with a shotgun using #5 shot at around 43 yards he hit the ground got back up and ran off in the thicket but we could not find him. I thought he was closer but I was pushing the shotguns range, I was using my 870 should have used the stoeger then he would have died right there. That stoger has a dead coyote choke and with #5 shot I can put around 20 or so pellets on a 10 inch circle at 50 yards, but I wanted to kill one with my 870. Can't wait to use rifles or T shot again. I went this morning didn't see any yotes but I did see 3 bucks a 3 pointer, 5 pointer and a 6 or 7 pointer. They where only 60 yards out and the 3 pointer walked up 20 yards from us.

+1 well said. Also I usually donate a deer or 2 to the hunters for the hungry and I donate money every year to the cause as do a lot of hunters. A good honest hunter makes for a good balance and a true hunter well you find no one else that loves nature more. I grew up in the country and was taught to respect the land and what is on it. I don't like it when hunters just hunt for antlers and not meat. I hunt for both. I have seen to many deer over the years lying on the side of the road with the antlers cut off, if you see that then he or she was not a true hunter. Rightwinger you said it correctly when sitting in the woods before daylight and when the sun starts to come up it's like the world comes to life and that in itself is worth every minute.

Coyotes will pair up and hunt and are more than capable of taking down a full grown deer.

Uh pure breed coyotes are not always solitary animals. Coyotes usually pair up and do travel in packs. Coyotes also do pack up and will kill baby calf's and even full grown cows. Heck a full grown coyote is more than capable of killing a baby calf on it's own. When a coyote mates with a domestic dog it's called a coy dog (offspring from a male coyote and female domestic dog) not a dogyote. A dogote is a cross between a male domestic dog and a female coyote and you can tell the difference between both species compared to a pure breed coyote. I have been hunting coyotes for a very very very long time and have seen all 3 types so I know the difference. I have also called in and killed many and I mean many coyotes. Coyotes are not indigenous to TN either. Not sure where you got your info but coy dogs or dogots are not common and the coyotes I see are pure breed coyotes. 99.99% of coyotes that I have called in are true coyotes not cross breed coyotes. Again not sure where you got your info but I am basing it off my hunting experiences and from reading books on coyotes. Also coyotes eat a lot of grass and berries not just meat it keeps them from being stopped up if you know what I mean.

Every time I have been out coyote hunting I see them in the woods and near the fields on the tree line. I seen a good buck while I was yote hunting Tuesday, looked like a good 8 pointer. I walked 40 yards from him before he ran off. Maybe I will get him during muzzleloader or rifle.

Thats exactly what I was doing.

If another dog or coyote is attacking your dogs or causing property damage and you catch them in the act you shouldn't have any problems justifying your actions.
