  1. I plan on going Tuesday and Wednesday if the good lord willing.
  2. I think they are a cool bird.
  3. That officer is lucky to be alive.
  4. While I don't agree with many of the laws I do however think they are doing a great job. I mean TN deer were almost wiped out and the first season for whitetail wasn't until around the 60's I believe (Someone can correct me on this) and you could only harvest 1 deer. I have seen a lot of deer especially in the last 10 years so they and us have to be doing something right. I do agree some laws need to be tweaked or changed and that's were we should step in and voice or opinions. As far as the coyote hunting regs go I do agree they need to be changed but I have no problem calling one in and shooting him with a shotgun using #5 shot out to 50 yards. We can vent all day long but the laws will never be perfect. That's why as hunters we should get out and voice or concerns and opinions.
  5. I keep it loaded with a primer ready to go but I hunt from ground blinds. I would however keep a primer ready just in case.
  6. The speed loaders do come in handy but usually I get it the first shot, due to me shooting like Daniel Boone ha ha.
  7. It's funny how it's never the person or person's fault but it's always the mods LOL!
  8. I am going to have to agree with you wd, I see no difference either. You are correct. Thing is it doesn't have to be for human consumption. You can plant a corn field, push the corn over and leave it and your legal to hunt over it. I asked the game warden a couple of years back and he said that was fine but if you add corn to it then your baiting which makes no sense at all. It's all about money.
  9. My thought process isn't much I guess. I hunt were there is sign of deer and places were I see them all the time. I don't like hunting fields unless it has a food plot and even then I will move 50 to 60 yards into the woods near deer travel lanes. Some of the better deer I have killed were taken in the woods. They would hold up just in the wood line and wait for dark to enter the field. Also the acorn crop is really good this year so I think the deer will be spending more time in the woods than in fields, well at least around the areas I hunt.
  10. I would hunt the food sources at least that"s what I'm doing. The property I hunt on has several fields and I have only seen deer out there twice. I go into the woods especially were there are acorns and I see deer and deer sign all over the place.
  11. It is a lot but I guess if you compare it to the over 1 million for it then it seems small, but yeah should have been 0 for against.
  12. Constitutional Right To Hunt, Fish Approved - Politics News Story - WSMV Nashville NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee voters have approved a constitutional guarantee to hunt and fish.In order to pass Tuesday, it needed to receive a number surpassing half the votes cast in the governor's race, plus one. With most of the vote counted late Tuesday night, it was well beyond the threshold.Sponsors of the ballot initiative said they wanted the right to hunt and fish embedded in the constitution where government couldn't infringe upon it. Hunting and Fishing Amendment WonOptionVotes % For 1,284,405 90 Against 147,078 10 Precincts Reporting - 2169 of 2176 The Tennessee Wildlife Federation, which led a six-year process supporting the amendment, said virtually all national conservation groups joined in the effort."Thousands of volunteers helped ensure our success, and their children and grandchildren will thank them one day," the federation said in a statement late Tuesday night.Similar measures were on the ballot Tuesday in Arkansas, South Carolina and Arizona.Ten other states already have such a right. Georgia passed a similar measure in 2006, and Alabama in 19
  13. Just remember if your going to shoot at a coyote it has to be during legal hours and with legal equipment and you must have a small game license. This is different than say if he was attacking your animals and you shoot it to protect them. You can't just shoot them illegally if you see them then it wouldn't be justifiable self defense or you can't say I was protecting my animals.
  14. Shooting one with a bow would be cool especially if you pin it to the ground.
  15. I was showing my daughter these pictures and she asked if she could shoot a deer. She is 6 now so in a couple of years I hope she still wants to go. Great pics everyone.
  16. Thats some nice deer. So when you taking me ha ha.
  17. It's great to see the future hunters with their harvests.
  18. I hope your right. I'm still seeing bucks running together.
  19. That's one state I would love to hunt before I die.
  20. HA HA HA I'm pretty sure you knew that but for those of them that didn't, I figured I would mention it.
