Well I have strep throat and it sucks.

I practice all year long with all calls. I have been driving my wife crazy for the last 2 months with my turkey calls. I think I'm pretty good at calling but I practice all the time and been hunting turkeys a long time.

The Jakes are more high pitch and the Toms have more of a deep rumble. You will know when a mature Tom gobbles.

Yes they are starting to gobble. There were several that sounded like good birds but you could hear the jakes as well. The hens were also going crazy.

Yes they were gobbling. We set up close to them and called a coyote in but couldn't get a good shot on him. I think the coyotes had them stirred up.

I have been doing a little scouting. I heard them the other morning while out yote hunting.

That's a mangy coyote. I hate mangy dogs but love killing them. I hope you buried it because other coyotes can still get it and the animals that eat it can get sick.

Very very nice. I have a trip planned sometime this year to go out to Kansas. My dad knows a preacher out their and he has the hook up. He says he sees coyotes almost everyday just running around. Can't wait to get out there and experience hunting coyotes out west.
