Got a chance to go out on my families land in Perry County this weekend. Got to hunt for 3 whole days. A buddy of mine killed his first deer a 3 pointer. He was a happy camper! I had been seeing some does and decided to pass on them. This morning I went out (last day) and decided I would take a doe if it came through. I sat watching a big hillside and seen three does going across it. I was about to shoot the biggest one, when I heard a buck grunting. I waited for a minute or 2 and here he came. I seen he had antlers and that was good enough for me. I let the Browning BAR 30-06 ring out in the holler and down he went. I thought he was a really nice 6 but after ground checking it, he turned out to be a nice 8 pointer.
