I skin and quarter my deer after harvest. I wrap the meat up and put it on ice water. I work on it over a couple of days.
-
You should look into doing it yourself. I do and its rewarding to harvest, clean and process it yourself.
-
Thanks yall. I can't wait to get back down there and visit some other places as well. Its well worth the time and effort.
-
Some are close but they are spread out. You can google walking dead locations and it should give you a map of where they are located.

Couple of my friends and I decided to make the drive to Georgia last week and visit as many of the film locations we could find. We managed to see a bunch of them. Some of the locations are off limits like the farm house which is privately owned, the prison is actually a studio set and the rock quarry is owned by the city of Atlanta and is posted. Other than that we seen a bunch. It's cool cause some of the locations are far apart but seem like they are just around the corner on the series and some are really close but seem far away in the series. We did visit "Woodbury" which is actually Senoia, GA. It was pretty fun driving the back roads of Georgia looking for these places. They have an app called GA walking dead tours and it's a do it yourself help guide. The town of Senoia is actually home to a bunch of different films and TV shows. We plan on going back soon and finding the new season locations and some we missed. In these pics I took a pic and combined it with either the scene pic from the movie or a pic that represents what it is. If you have seen the show you will know most of them. http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377955205429_zps97ecbaa4.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996529299_zps84621ee0.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996456966_zps8379e9a7.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996415678_zps4b4cb508.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377996415678_zpsdfdf0546.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377995812996_zps596ec840.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377995656880_zpsfa6ea842.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377995415753_zps2bf9382e.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377994637659_zpsf5ea872a.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377994423355_zpsd0c92b2e.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377994143389_zps71d91692.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377990001880_zps9554e65d.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377982982894_zpse4ce0c9c.jpg http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/bean962/PhotoGrid_1377982935360_zpsa5e4cc7c.jpg

Hunting License for Non-protected Species?
ShaunM replied to Oh Shoot's topic in Hunting and Fishing
why does this not surprise me. -
I think their rates are way to high. If killing a nuisance pest costs that much, well they can keep them.
-
I seen an episode on Drury outdoors where they put a gopro camera up and caught almost the same thing. Seems like more people are doing this during archery for better shot filming.
-
I've seen this pic before on another sight. Its supposed to be real. Looks like a high lung shot so there may not be much initial blood.
-
Cool pic.
-
I've owned both and I liked the 308 better. They will both kill deer.
-
Congrats and great shootin gal!

I can't wait to eat me some squirrels.
-
Yes I do lol. I remember him telling me about that.

2 years ago during spring Turkey, I took a buddy of mine out. We sat up started to call and immediately had turkeys gobbling. I new it was just jakes but I heard at least one good Tom on the opposite ridge. As I was calling I kept hearing a crinkling sound. For about 5 minutes I couldn't figure out where this sound was coming from. The jakes came in quietly and I turned to my buddy to see if he wanted to shoot one and before I said anything he asked if I wanted a bite of his breakfast sandwich. Well the turkeys scattered and the hunt was over. The whole time I was calling him in his first turkey he was eating a breakfast sandwich which was wrapped in tinfoil. I was so still I didn't even know he was eating the dang thing just heard the wrapper. Got to love friends.

If I can question something than I just dont use it. I try to stay simple with my hunting equipment. That way I know im at least 98% right.

The Warden I talked to seems to say something different and they wonder why people dont understand the reg book. All I can do is shake my head.

First make sure you have taken a hunters safety course than get your small game license. Make sure you read the regs than read them 5 more times. Cant hunt coyotes at night. I use both mouth and electronic callers. Ive been hunting predators for a long time and that is by far my passion. I have called in and killed many coyotes and missed just as many. Most people say you should stay only 15 minutes or so on stand. I have learned that eastern coyotes are different from western coyotes. I have called for over an hour before getting one to commit. The reason was I knew they where in there. I treat each and every setup different. I have killed coyotes in the morning, afternoons and evenings. Im on my phone so typing all thus out is hard. I will chime in more when I get home later. -
The local warden talked like it was o.k when I talked to him. He said its not considered a deer "locator"
-
I talked to one of the Game Wardens today. He said that a light capable of locating deer was illegal to use. I asked him what about lasers like a crimson trace grip. He said it wasn't like spotlighting and your using it during the day, so your able to see the deer anyway. I don't maybe he didn't really understand what I was saying.
-
I'm pretty sure Laser sights are legal as long as they don't project enough light to locate wildlife. This is what the regs say. Firearms or archery equipment with any device utilizing an artificial light capable of locating wildlife. Any electronic light amplifying night vision scope or device while in possession of a firearm or archery tackle between sunset and sunrise. Small lasers such as crimson trace grips or the like won't be considered in this group.

Despite the odds, I put in for a tag.
