A friend of mine is an attorney and brought me a revolver to evaluate. Haha what was left of it. His client was at an indoor range and ran out of ammo. Billy Bob gun range employee gave him a 454 casull to send down range. (Wrong caliber). One pull of the trigger and the back strap was bowed up and the cylinder is now in 2 pieces and the spent Carthage was stuck in one of the cylinders. I pled ignorance and suggested he send it to the manufacturer for their opinion. No one was hurt but that Taurus was junk. Range settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. DUH.

One more reason I tell people I live in Collierville and don’t mention it’s anywhere near Memphis.

Glad to know I’m not alone. Maybe we should form a support group. Probably get bigger discounts if we purchase together. -

for-sale WTS Colt Police Positive 32/20 1923 issue
derf replied to crc4's topic in Firearms Classifieds
Beautiful specimen. Mine, along with everyone I’ve ever seen for sale had the back of the grip chipped off from dropping. Those grips are worth $200 all day. GLWS -
Bought mine nearly 30 years ago and it still runs like a sawing machine. And yes, I carry it almost daily.

Your first must be a 45. 230 grain vs 115 grain. After seeing a tweeker shot 4 times with a 9mm and still on his feet. 1 shot with the 45 and he was flat on his back. The 45 wins every time.

vintage and collectible guns I'm selling

What a tease. You can’t just throw them out there without a hint of a price. There are a couple I would be interested in. Thanks -
Emotions are definitely running high on both sides and make no mistake Memphis is soooo divided. I grew up in Memphis and at 65 I can tell you it isn’t the Memphis I grew up in. I live in a suburb and still don’t leave my house without being armed. IMHO if Memphis were to burn to the ground it would be a hell of a start to turning Memphis back into the city it once was. Memphis won national city beautiful awards for four straight years. Don’t ask me when, you can look it up. What a difference 30 years makes. Even driving through on the interstate is a very risky proposition. Memphis is number 1 nationwide in murder rate. Doesn’t that just warm your heart.

My 65 year old eyes have a problem with quickly picking up these sights. I’m sorry but these on a revolver looks like a bugger on a windshield with wipers on high. I’m not really subject to change. I’m still carrying the same bone stock Sig P220 in 45 since 1986.

They support the second amendment but not the fourth. Sounds like the owner or employees need a civic lesson. Stand them up. Then tell them to pound sand on the purchase. -
Damn that’s nice. Welcome to the addiction. Try not to buy more than one per year. Good luck.

Sears and Roebuck Ted Williams Model 100 (Winchester Model 94) .30-30
derf replied to Snaveba's topic in Show and Tell
Sweet. My first shogun was a Ted Williams model 200 ( Winchester 1200 ) with a “ dial-a-duck “ choke. It wasn’t too pretty but it killed a ton of ducks.
