  1. I just googled St Bernard and there is a medical center by that name in Jonesboro AR...
  2. Thank you. Sorry about the above spelling. I'm on my phone.
  3. Thanks guys. I wasn't sure. I don't know much about this stuff because I work for "The Man". I did think about just taki g cash donations but thought that may be a little risky. This way anyone can go buy the bank and give cash or check even at night with the deposit box. A little more info about my classmte.. He is my age (27-28). I see him around town here and there. He was found murdered in his appartment today. Reports I have heard say he had been im tjere a few days. I'm still trying to get details. 2 murders in my small little hometown this week.
  4. I found out today that a former classmate was found murdered in his home in Lewisburg today. I went to the bank to set up a memorial fund for his family. I was told that I have to get an EIN (employer ID number) from the IRS. She instructed me how to do so. I got on the IRS website and applied and instantly got my EID. Now I take that number to the bank tomorrow and give them the number and set up the account and I'm good to go. My question is will I have to pay any taxes on this or do my taxes different for this year?
  5. Hello from Columbia
  6. I do agree that this poll will be a little one sided seeing as what the subject of this forum is but to stay on point, while I was a deputy, I didn't see many people OC'ing. A few here and there and yes, I would look closely at their weapons in a discreet way just out of my own curiosity as to what they were carrying. I sure didn't have a problem with it but again I'm a gun enthusiast. A few times during traffic stops when we were notified or just simply given a person's license along with their HCP it would spark a conversation about firearms and I would sometimes chat for several minutes with the driver if we were in a safe place off the road. I had several good contacts with HCP holders.
  7. Mine is about 750 pounds and has 4 threaded 1/2" rods going through the floor to a sleel plate under the joist. But I still worry. Someone could get it with enough man power.
  8. I got into it when I was about 19. My first rifle I bought was a Marlin .17 hmr. I was hesitant about coyote hunting with it. I didn't buy it for that reason. I started practicing mouth calling and watching videos and got decent at it. My first call was a "Coon Squaller". It sounded pretty much like a cottontail distress to me and evidently the female coyote I called up wanted some. 1 shot in the vitals and she jumped up a few feet in the air and done a couple spins and that was it. I later bought a RRA LAR 15 for my duty rifle when I was a deputy but then later took the EoTech off and put on a 3-12x40 and took a few with it. I love hunting when it snows but we don't get much in middle TN. It is sure addictive.
  9. My night stand gun is a gen 3 22 with 180 grn. HST with a LED mounted weapon light. My other is my marine magnum 870 behind the headboard post. It stays loaded with 00.
  10. I'm in. But I just saw something that someone mentioned on the youtube comments. I guess Hershall got a new leg...
  11. The filters are in the other details. The fine things. I would keep the diesel cycled by running in through my pickup and farm equipment and keep having my reserves filled back up every couple months. It sure is fun to daydream.
  12. It's Elvis' hair...
  13. Oh, and how could I forget?.. a couple rifles for the threats out a little farther. I amagine a .338 would get the job done. Maybe a couple of those with som 16-20 x's and a couple thousand rounds. That is it. For now...
  14. I've thought about this many times. I would spend probably 1/3 of the sum on prepping. I believe in redundancy. So I would have 2+ of everything. 2 weapon cache rooms in case one was compromised and so on. Since we are talking about millions upon millions of dollars here... I would build about a 7,000 square foot underground bunker to support 20+ people. It would be fully functional like a home with every amenity you could think of. 10-15 cameras above ground at strategic locations. I would have 2 weapons rooms on site and another a few miles away. Diesel generators and thousands of gallons of fuel in underground tanks for the first few months and solar and wind power mechanisms for when they run dry or a threat is detected and you need some quiet time. I would have a couple 6 wheel military trucks that have been overhauled and been armored in key places for trips to town or just to go check out the situation. I would hire a young doctor / surgeon and a good lookin' nurse or two beforehand to come live with us at the compound. I would have a fully stocked medical room for any minor or major injuries or surgeries. My weapons would go something like... about 10 high end AR 15's with 30-50 thousand rounds, several Remington 870's with a few pallets of buckshot and slugs, a few Glock 17's and 34's and a lot of .22 just for fun. I could go on and on in much more detail as I have won the lottery in my head multiple times.
  15. I would most definitely go with the SCAG with the Kawasaki.
  16. I carry crackers in case I get hungry.
  17. I drive a Wrangler so from May to September the top and doors are off so farting is ok
  18. I used to hate "Rocket Man" but one day a few years ago something clicked and now when it comes on I sing the s### out of it.

  20. All of the above shotguns mentioned are great. I'm an 870 guy myself. I've got and 870 marine magnum for my HD gun. I like the marine magnum not because I'm tough on the finish but I think they just look cool. I agree too that just pistol grips alone suck. Just a novelty in my opinion. I keep it loaded with just plain ol' Remington (green/yellow) box 00 buck. I've got a 5 shell holder on the side with more 00 and a couple slugs. Shotguns are excellent for HD. My RRA LAR 15 used to be my bedside long gun but the reliability of a pump shotty makes me feel better.
  21. I just got a Hustler Fast track 48". It's got a 22 HP Kawasaki. It was a little out of my budget at $4,800 but I financed it and came in a little under $110 a month. It mows like a dream. The hydrostatics are silky smooth and its balanced very well. I've owned 3 zero-turns and this one by far is the best. I went with the smaller 48" because I have lots of trees. I took the roll bar off. Here's a pic of it with the lil' one "trying it out".
  22. Haha! "First Girlfriend"
  23. Though I owned several old rifles and shotguns since I was a kid, my first handgun was a Phoenix Arms 22 semi auto pistol. I bought it from a private when I was 17. Absolute piece of junk. Gave $100 for it. I shot about 200 rounds through it and then the firing pin and parts just flew all out of the back of the slide.
  24. (Accidentally hit post before i was done) but i saw a skunk in the road that looked like it had been recently ran over and there was another skunk there tugging on it trying to pull it from the roadway. I had heard of dogs doing this but to see a skunk doing this was weird.
  25. I know this is off topic but i was on the way home from work a few nights ago
