1. I am looking for some new tritium night sights for a Glock 19. I had some a few years ago on a 23 and I believe they were "tru dots" and they were bright. But I recently had some Trijicons installed on a gun and the lamps seemed small and dim. I have also had TFO's. I am looking for a good bright set of Tritiums (without fiber optic). What are your favorite? I'm sure this has been covered but I have a hell of a time searching for old threads using Tapatalk.
2. Ibam waitimg for the diesel Jeep Wrangler. 2 more years.
3.
When you figure that diesel costs around 50 cents more per gallon the increased gas mileage mostly negates itself there. Add to that $100 DIY oil changes, fuel filter replacements, a two battery system, injectors going bad, and all the other common diesel issues you will be hard pressed to ever come out ahead.
Yeah, but look at all the money you'll save on spark plugs... :P
4. Only 2 music stations I listen to on Sirius. 70's on 7 and Classic Vinyl. If I'm not listening to those I have it on Stern or Jay Thomas.
5. My 19 on my hip and 870 in the Jeep.
6. I have an 05 TJ. I am also on tnjeeps. Jeeps and guns! Merica!
7. I have been metal detecting for a few years. I use a Garret 250 now but am saving funds for an AT Pro. I want to do more water finds and maybe buy a go pro and do some youtube videos. I like to geocache and if it has anything to do with my jeep or getting wet I am in.
8. I am for constitutional carry. I have been a permit holder since the week after I turned 21. I am 27. But on a funny note I can see it now. Ol' floppy nylon thumb break holsters with their grandfather's old SAA walking around in walmart. I worry too that if it does pass that more places will post. A post is a post.
9.
500 posts on this,is this the longest thread in tgo history?
This one has 860. I myself wonder what the largest thread on here is. Probably over 1,500. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/index.php?/topic/60282-TN-Bill-to-remove-restrictions-on-knife-possession-and-carry
10.
Open or concealed, someone who assumes the responsibility of carry should get some basic training. Anyone who assumes that the HCP course is training is fooling themselves. Problem is I don't trust the general population to act responsibly, as I have already seen how most who get their HCP end their 'training' there.
I couldn't agree more.
11. I may take a short road trip Sunday in the jeep and remembered this post of the fire tower. Thought it would be neat.
12.
Been a fan of "Walking Dead" last couple of seasons, there was discussion from time to time of where to go or what to do, was obvious that us who think of survival will not relate good to a TV show. Anyways, I was on a geocaching adventure that took me to Virgin Falls, Rock Island State Park and near Fall Creek Falls. At a virtual cache called (Smoke Signals), location: N 35° 40.172 W 085° 18.373 Location is an closed fire tower which is located on top of a large hill, terrain is steep on all sides expect the road leading up to the fire tower, that being the weak point. I didn't go up the tower this time since I was on of the few in the group that had already completed this virtual. I visited the location in 2006. House is there, along with out buildings and a propane tank. Pictured our our hike to the tower. Large and very tall tower. Advantages: Rural area, should be less indigent walkers Wooded and complex terrain, walkers don't trasverse very well Flat area on the hill top, be able to grow some crops, possible small number of livestock Tall tower for overwatch of the entire hilltop and surrounding area. Propane tank, fuel for heat and cooking. Concerns: Rural area, be longer distances to obtain supplies House one story and is wood, need to be more secure. Fire tower is very tall, use of arrows, crossbows would be ineffective at that distance. Water source not on the hilltop. If overrun, by walkers or rogue survivors, retreat would be difficult. Would be difficult to, but not impossible to defend against rogue survivors. To fortify, use barbed wire at base of hill and areas up the hill to trap or delay walkers. Stronger fence at hilltop ridge, with one exit/entrance Reinforce the house.
Does anyone know if you can go up in the tower?
13. I did my own in a car a few years ago. It wasn't hard at all and looked great. I bought some material at walmart in the "womens" section. I took out the headliner and pulled all the old fabric off of it along with all the old foam. I used 3M adhesive spray. I wish I had a pic of it. I'm gonna do it on my ol' F150 soon.
14. I am so tired of listening to CNN and hear them every 10 minutes with "Breaking News!". I literally just heard them come back from a commercial with "Breaking News" to say that planes are taking off in Australia. No sh!t? That phrase gets thrown around way too much in the media. I almost expect them to say when the plane is found "Breaking News! We're not f###ing around this time!"...
15. I didn't catch it at first but got a good laugh.
16.
So, you know, exactly what motive does Boeing have for not telling where the plane is, then? - OS
Maybe they know it is a mechanical fault of Boeing that caused it to go down and they don't want it to be found and traced back to them. Just thinking with my tinfoil hat.
17.
Cheerleaders are the Tight'uns. ;)
I doubt it... :p
18. Looks as if the dog is ok. You can tell it shocked her. Looks like she may have injured her arm.
19.
That is really weird. Looks like her to me. The hair to one side and even the collar leaning in the same direction. Gonna be interesting to see her role.
Well evidently I quoted the wrong pic. I meant to do the side by side with the painting.

21. An old 1977 870 Wingmaster 12 guage 20" is my bedroom gun. I added the shell holder on the butt stock.
22. A little off the wall but if the creek is close to your house you could put a wireless driveway motion detector across it. If you believe that the creek may be were someone would walk up from. It gives you a narrower point rather than having someone just walking into a field. Put it just high enough where if a human walked by and disturbed the "line" across the creek you would know it in the house and go confront the trespasser. Kinda odd I know but just throwing it out there.
