I drive OTR and have for 7 years. Be preared to be out for weeks at a time with Prime. If you get there and don't like it, give me a shout. I work for a local family company in Spring Hill. We only have about 55 trucks and 10 owner operators or so. He keeps new trucks and trailers. It's all dry van. No reefer or flatbed. Trucks are 2013 and 14 KW's and trailers are 2012 -2015. Home just about every weekend. Most of the time I have 3 day weekends. I have never worked for a huge company but I know the horror stories. Good luck to you. I wish I could help with the CDL question but I have to agree with Hozzie.

I am about to order the parts needed to turn my PGO 500 into a 14" barrel, 26.5" overall length "firearm". Thanks to Dolomite for showing me this. Does anyone else on here have one? http://shockwavetechnologies.com/site/?page_id=88

Initially after he brought it to my attention I noticed that it was cut a little close at the top but I have read that this is very common especially back then.

I saw hime mark it with the marker and just took his word but got to thinking that if it is that old then the marker may not work on it then I began doi g some research. It does feel odd in your hands. If doesn't feel fiberous like a current bill. It feels smooth.

After doing a little research it may actually be authentic. The date says 1950B. I have looked up images of the same 1950b bills and the Secretary of Treasury name is correct and many other things I can see. Someone said that it could indeed be a 64 year old bill that has just recently made it into circulation. I am just curious.

Well, I went to Sonic this morning for an early lunch. I paid for my food and just a minute into eating my delicious premium breakfast burrito the manager came out to my vehicle, just as nice as could be and informed me that the ten dollar bill I had just paid with was not real. He handed me the bill and as soon as I looked at it I could tell it wasn't right at all. I kept the bill and paid with another one and was on my way. I just never think to look at my bills in my wallet but I sure will now. After thinking of were I had been this weekend i have concluded that it was given back to me in a 20 i broke at Krystal's in Columbia. I have looked it up and it is legal to own as long as I am the one who did not produce it. I am just going to hang on to it for a converstion piece I guess. But I am going to take it to the Sheriff's Dpt. To let them photo it or record it however they like. The fake one is on the bottom obviously.

I have been doing some research on the 14 incher above. I have found a parts list to convert a 500. I am thinking seriously about ordering the parts next week. If I do I will start a build thread. http://shockwavetechnologies.com/site/?page_id=438 -
If you want I can talk you through the process, just give me a call. Pretty sure you already have my number but if not just send me a PM. It is an easy but can be time consuming to get everything together. Not sure if you are aware of this but if you take a gun that originally came with a pistol grip you can put any barrel length on it as long as it is at least 26" overall length and does not have a shoulder stock. You cannot do it with a shotgun that originally came with a shoulder stock. By the way, this is a LEGAL shotgun that does not require any sort of NFA registration. The reason is because it started life without a shoulder stock and is at least 26" overall length. BTW, that is a 14.5" barrel. But once you attach a shoulder stock the classification changes and it becomes a shotgun and with a 14.5" barrel you are in violation of the law unless registered.
Does this particular pistol grip have a name? When you think pistol grips I think of the more virtical ones. I like the long one in this pic and I'm sure it helps on the length ; ) I have a Mossberg 500 "Persuader" that came with a pistol grip. so I could put the kind of grip on it as pictured above and deduct some barrel til' I'm to about 26.5" or so then? I hope I am understanding this right. -

I didn't know that. I may go this route for now. I wasn't dead set on having a stock. I just like the short barrel that ends at the tube. That looks really good. -

I don't mind going the traditional route. Whichever is easiest. I won't have any problem getting our Sheriff's approval and getting the photos. I am just new to this and have been putting off inquiring. -

I am interested in applying for my tax stamp for a short barrel shotgun. I have tried to do some google searching but I would like to get your input. Where and how do I apply? I already have the firearm and the money. I have heard once you apply it may take up to 90 days. Any help or stories of your experiences would be appreciated. Thank you. The one on the right is what I have in mind.

Sounds very similar. I am 6' 3" and 250 pounds also. I also love both guns and am in the market for a Shield 9. I carry a Gen 3 Glock 19 though. I would say for a first gun I would go with the Glock. And I can't really back that up except for it is more versatile if it is gonna be your first and it's reliability of course. It is more suiatable for home defense. I have a 33 round mag that gets put in at night before I go to bed for a "bump in the night" situation. But also you can take into account your soon to be attained duty gun can take on that role so any one would be good. I was in LE for a while. Sound just like me. You wouldn't happen to be 27 and drive a Jeep too huh? :P

I used it a while ago to do the fender flares on my Wrangler and it lasted a good year or so but a few weeks ago I got a little happy with the pressure washer and washed a big chunk off. So then I sprayed the rest off and used Krylon Fusion to paint them back but they are plastic of course. I have always wanted to do my wheels and heard it does well. Please let us know how it turns out. I may follow.

I love it. I could buy a new AR on just the money I've spent on sushi this year.

No Problems with my Verizon. I have noticed though recently when I call someone and it goes to their voicemail that the "woman talking" sounds different.
-
I would go for both. What is the most common ammo out there you will come across in a shtf situation? 9mm, .357 and .38. I would go with a G19 and a 4-6" wheelgun.

I saw the first one on my Facebook feed and watched it twice. Very impressive.
