Here in Nebraska it is illegal to carry in a church--anytime. I do that there are some that do it anyway and get away with it. I go to a small church and I would not have a problem with any of our members but in a larger city or church there could be problems.

anyone use belt sander for sharpening
LazyAce replied to Tnscooter63's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
My grandfather and my dad both did saw sharpening and now I do some. I will use a belt sander on everyday utility knives but I still like a oilstone to get a smooth edge on my pocket knife. If you do use a belt sander put the edge of the knife blade up when sharpening, this way will make a better edge on the blade. You need to practice a bunch on old knives first or use a worn out belt so you don`t take off as much when sharpening. It can be done but not the prefered method. -
I`m in. Keep up the good work

Just went through that. My problem was the outlet pipe was plugged about 6 feet from the tank with roots. Had 2 plumbers out and neither one would fix the problem. One replace the outlet pipe which was plugged also and charged me $600.00 and the other one just pumped out the tank and left. I got a friend who does trucking and dirt work to come with his backhoe and dig me a new drain line and haul in some gravel. I got some drain pipe from the local building store and laid down a new drain line. Best thing was I only spent $150.00 for it. Nice to have good friends. Trees are nice to look at but a pain everywhere else. Good Luck

I live on a 160 acre farm with about 40 acres of creek bottom. Lots of wildlife to watch. Just get on my 4 wheeler and go for a ride. Usually carry a pistol just for luck in case something gets in my way.

What is your favorite caliber for everyday carry?

9 mm Baby Glock or a 21SF Glock if I am wearing a coat to hide it better -
Get up and move snow so I can go out and feed the pets. Move more snow so I can get to town to wifes sisters place. Sit around for the day and hope I can get home so I can move more snow on Saturday. Living in Nebraska in the winter sometimes gets to be fun. So far we have had 12 inches of snow about 2 weeks ago and they are talking about another 7-12 inches by Friday night. Merry Christmas to all

It is Merry Christmas all the way

Must be time to pick out new friends. I have a few like that also. That can be your New Years resolution.

I have a G26. I added a +2 mag extension just for a better grip. I use a DeSantis Mini-Slide leather holster most of the time. I also have a Fobus Roto-paddle if I need something quick. It`s a great little gun. I also have a 21sf just to play with. I did a bunch of mods to it just for something to do. Glocks are great guns and anybody with a bit of common sense can work on them. Enjoy

I have a 21sf and a 26. Use the 21 for fun and the 26 for carry

I own 2 Glocks, a 21sf and a 26. The 21 I did several mods to it just for kicks and the 26 I left bone stock. Love them both. I did round off the corners on the trigger guards to help them slide back into the holsters a bit smoother. Shoot it and have fun.

I got an Orange one this summer. I wear it here in Nebraska and it does get a few looks. Great item to have.

I have my own shop so I do all of my own work on everything I own. The only time I take something to a outside shop is if it needs to be put on a scope or for some tranny work. I put the used oil in a 55 gal barrel and when it is full I have two or three shops that will come and get it out of my way for free as they burn it for heat.

I wear my TGO hat here in Nebraska all the time. I will have to remember to wear it when I am back in Murfreesboro this fall for my annual trip home. Good Luck to all

All of Gods creatures have a place on this fine planet. Sometimes it happens to be the same as our place, sometimes not. I grew up in the country dealing with all the critters so I don`t get bothered with them, upset at times when I have to take down webs every other day in my shop but at least they work for their food, more than I can say about some people on the planet.

I have a flock of 40+ that live on my farm. They are around the house all of the time. I can walk to within 20-30 feet of them and they just look at me. I had a friend who is into turkey hunting tell me that they are use to me but if a stranger shows up they would run. My cats think it is fun to chase them. Good luck

Stupid is as stupid does. We need to stop stupid people from breeding as you can`t fix stupid.

Don`t come to Nebraska. They only honor their own permits. We have a bunch of idiots running the state. They are afraid that someone might get hurt with a gun. It took them several elections to even allow ccw here at all. That is why a lot of us here also get the Utah permit as it covers a lot more states.

Just greedy oil people. Gas is $1.89 to $1.95 here in eastern Nebraska. When the state gas tax went up 1 cent the price of gas went up 10 cents a gallon. That is our wonderful government at work.

Welcome and enjoy from a past Boro resident. Wish I was there instead of here.

You should be able to go to your local sheriffs dept. or the local police dept. and depending on their mood that day, they should be able to bring up your record and tell you where you stand with that. I know that the big cities do things different than the small ones. You may have to go to one of the smaller towns around there.

I have ordered from them on several occasions and have had super luck. their prices are decent and the shipping isn`t bad if you order several things at once.

I have a flock of 40 or so that live in my back yard and wander the place all the time and my wife won`t let me or anyone else shoot one. I can walk out when they are around and get within 30-40 feet of them without any problem. At least they are fun to watch and my cats like to play with them.

I was born in Murfreesboro, Tn. and moved back here to Nebraska when my dad got out of the service. He was stationed at Smyrna at the end of WW2. My mom was born & raised at Murfreesboro and I still have a few cousins there and I make it back at least once a year. I still prefer Tennessee over Nebraska but I have too many roots down here now that it would be real hard to move. If I had someone here that would take over everything then I would move back in a heartbeat and my wife would be right there with me as she loves it in Tennessee. Maybe someday.
