  1. Care to share that other forum?
  2. Nutty people do nutty things.
  3. It was good to meet you to! Nice gun btw.
  4. For what it's worth I have a series 80 Commander. I have heard people bad mouth them but I'm not a gunsmith so this is just my opinion. I have never worked on it nor had it worked on. I suppose the chances are slim that I would ever drop it (knock on wood), and if I do the hammer would either be back (ready to fire) or back and on safe... NEVER sitting on a live round, EVER - BUT, with all of that said, **** DOES happen so any little thing I can do to keep it happening to me I am all for! Sounds like a good plan to me - get one you like and just try to wear it out! I also like the Ruger 1911, based on the review that our own Hickok45 did here: . In fact I was planning on doing that myself until I shot an M&P .45.
  5. Good luck with the shooting!
  6. Howdy, welcome! The bad thing is this does not even count as a post! lol
  7. I was looking for one in .45 with the 4.5" barrel, no thumb safety... black in color (call me old fashion ). I was one of the people that David at D&T had looked for - he said he used 11 different suppliers and I think he said 7 sell them but none could get them. It was my first deal on Gun Broker and was almost to good to be true... just praying it wasn't!!!
  8. Don't you just love that? You are doing the driving and people want to know what sort of gun your using because IT must be a good one (as if you have nothing to do with it). BTW, nice shootin Tex!
  9. I broke-down and bought a used M&P .45 via Gun Broker (excellent price to boot).
  10. Welcome and welcome back, good to have you!
  11. Welcome! Have you tried out any Ruger's? They seem to get a bad rap but there is nothing wrong with them and I can tell you about 1 specific case where their Customer Service did a very good job.
  12. Howdy and welcome! Personally I say I'm better when I use my Canon verses whichever handgun I happen to have at the time...
  13. Wow, that's a really nice spot ya got there.... all i know is that I wont ever post a pic of mine!
  14. It won't bother me to promote shamelessly ...GunTroll installed the TFO sites I bought, and did a very nice job of it! And now for the shameless part... ummm Brandon, I'm getting anther M&P, up for another round? And yes, I plan on using identical TFOs lol!
  15. Well for God's sake don't let David hear you say that, his head might swell up! Its probably not the biggest store you've ever been in but everyone is GREAT! Just be careful of that coffee!
  16. How about an P95? lol Seriously, I bought one on a whim and its sweet. I do like the grip better than an 85 (I have a late model one that is a bit stippled).
  17. Wow... the finish is pretty toasted... to bad you dont know someone that could fix that up for you! LOL Nawww, its great, especially so because of who's it was.
  18. Sweet setup man, NICE!
  19. To bad man, I was hoping to met you and thank you personally! Hope your obligations run smoothly!
  20. Double scale... does that mean to weigh your powder charges twice? LOL Welcome aboard M8!
  21. I haven't seated a single primer yet but I am going to use what I have for the time being (RCBS, press mounted). I did like the feel of of the hand primer I tried-out (thank you very much BigK) better but it doesn't make sense for me to really try to decide until I'm using my own.
