  1. Welcome aboard!
  2. Check with this guy: http://www.midtngunsmithing.com/ No idea if he would do it or not but he is a good guy and a very good gunsmith!
  3. All I can tell you is that I have 2 M&Ps (9 and 45). I had a gunsmith friend use his site pusher for the rear site(s). He ended up using a punch and really had to work hard to get them out. He did say that the XD is worse! lol I do know that it has to come off on the same side as where the ejection port is on.
  4. Migfht try giving this guy a call. http://www.midtngunsmithing.com/ (he is in Springfield - not Nashville but a hell of a lot closer than Coal Creek).

    FN 5.7

I did not give him any advice - he was the one that told me it would penatrate, I had never heard of a 5.7 before that.
  6. So did you shoes to match or... at least a set of grips???

    FN 5.7

A coworker had an FN 5.7. He was very impressed that the round was so small and fast and that it would penetrate. Well... he was impressed until I pointed out to him that he was legally and morally responsible for the round after he fired it. He had been using it as his EDC, he sold it shortly after.
  8. The Ruger is sharp looking (espically for the price)! Congrats and good shooting!
  9. Guntroil is gone but not forgotten. He is an excettent gun smith.
  10. Nice! So when you say you polished the parts how did you polish them?
  11. 22lr 9mm .357 mag .45 acp
  12. I thank everyone who is currenttly or has ever searved!
  13. LOVE your pic!
  14. Man you werent kidding, it did look rough. I bet it is a joy to shoot though!
  15. Flocking??? OMG, he is thinking now, next thing will be a furry Glock! Of course, with winter here maybe that's not such a bad idea... LMAO!
  16. For what its worth (which isn't much, I'm afraid) I was reloading Unique, CCI #500 primers and mixed picked up brass and pushing 115 grn copper jacketed Zero bullets with WAY MORE powder than you are! I don't think you will have a problem with that recipe. UNDERSTAND: I am NOT advocating the use of more powder than the maximum recommended amount, I am just relating my experiences using it, based on the experience of someone who has been reloading with Unique for 30 years and I worked my charges up, incrementally.
  17. Personally I had been planning on geting a Dillion 550 until I read what David said... look like I will go for the LNL myself (once I get into my new house).
  18. The only problem I have ever had was with Remington Thunderbolts (bought from Wally World) about a year ago.
  19. It is an excellent place, I have been severial times and its always greatly enjoyed! Makes me not want to go anywhere else. I just wish it wasn't an hour and a quarter drive for me.
  20. Nice gun, glad you've found one that you like!
  21. This guy dlm37015 sells reloading equipment. Not sure that he would have anything used but a good resource to keep in mind (I just wish I could get to a gun show that he was at, so I could talk to him).
  22. Damn it man - is there anything you cant do? That's a beautiful example!
  23. Yeah, I thought long and hard about getting a full size 1911 but I opted for a Plastic Fantastic (M&P .45), instead. I haven't regretted my decision but I still wish I had a full size 1911 (I do have a Commander).
  24. I have a 13 year old girl - I am a part-time dad (her mom has her most of the time). Your doing right by her, good job man! My daughter loves her .22 pistol. And OK Corral is a great place to shoot (just be careful of the splatter from the steel targets)!
  25. Ya got a nice pair there!
