  1. I think the SR9c may be slightly thinner but overall I do think it's bigger but I haven't compared them side by side. The 26 didn't feel good to me. I would suggest to handle and shoot, if possible, all the ones you're considering.
  2. SR9c
  3. OK, maybe OPA is not a good place to get a deal but they do have ammo in bulk. My thoughts are that finding ammo within the state instead of paying a ammo tax like some have plus shipping, you may be close to what you can buy locally. Don't know for sure since I really haven't made a complete spread sheet and compared prices that close. Here's a deal from http://http://www.usaammo.com/9mm-Luger-115-gr-FMJ-New-P67.aspx . Also some bulk in reloaded ammo from TN Cartridge can be found in Lebanon at the Gun Room. Or on the west side in Oakland where TNC is located. These are just a couple I know off hand.
  4. Life has risks, enjoy them or limit them. Yep, factory horns suck. There's plenty of aftermarket options out there like the one OhShoot posted. Straight pipes or performance exhaust systems will not be in our future if the California Senate Bill 435 becomes law in other states. With this law, California will require “every new motorcycle or aftermarket exhaust system built starting in 2013 to carry a stamp on the exhaust certifying that it meets federal Environmental Protection Agency sound requirements.†Just saying, I feel loud pipes hurt our image and the above law is what is to come. Along with that are bike safety and emission testing and that takes more taxes. As far as loud car stereo's, they are in violation of the city noise ordinance already in place here in TN, so I rest my case.
  5. Three wheelers are all over the road these days but the 3 wheeled ATV's were hurting too many kids and manufactures quit building them, most likely due to lawsuits or government pressure would be my guess.

    No ammo

Outpost Armory has plenty, I was in there last weekend. Deals on bulk 500 rnds and 1K rnds. in both .380 and 9mm.

  9. Why would you want an MG, American Hot Rods are much cooler than any British sports cars. Except maybe a Jaguar.
  10. Yes, this is the direction. More government is not the answer, that's the real reason we are in this heap of dodo anyway. We become so complacent with what our elected officials can do it's past time to think outside the norm. Thanks for eye opener.
  11. +1 Now there's a thought. There will be someway to fraud and abuse it anyway.
  12. I'm all for it but I suspect additional taxes will be needed to implement. A added bonus will be the libs will thow hissy fits.
  13. Thanks for the comments, good advice and the more I learn about the Taurus I would probably be happier with something else. I hate heavy triggers. I want something used to throw in the truck (the SP is too nice for that), perhaps a pawnshop gun? .38 would be OK, just didn't want that loud of a bang. The .22WMR is pretty loud from what I've read so I'm back to sq. one sent from my laptop in the shop.
  14. That's what horns are for, each his own. When the time comes that our state decides to test emmisions and safety items on our bikes, including sound readings, I HOPE YOU STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY. If you don't think it can happen just look at CA and what Arnold recently did to motorcyclists and performance shops.
  15. Granted, there are a lot of dumbass riders and drivers for that fact out there. They give the good guys a bad name, that also goes for the ones who thinks straight pipe exhausts are cool too. The ones who abuse and ignore the laws usually won't be riding for very long.
  16. In a revolver, a snub-nose of all things. A Taurus 941 was speaking to me today. Anyone have comments on owning one and something similar?
  17. Outpost Armory has bulk ammo in a wide variety. 1000 rnds of American Eagle(?) 9mm $400 500 rnds 9mm UMC Rem. $134 1000 rnds of 9mm Fiocchi $389 1000 rnds of (?) .38 $366
  18. If you're worried about other drivers it's best to stay off bikes. I've been riding on the street for 37 yrs, (rode off road and raced enduros before that) I've had people cut me off, merge in my lane, and slam their brakes on in front of me. I've seen people look straight at me and pull in front of me. I try to observe the 2 second rule, I never ride next to anyone especially semi's, avoid traffic as much as I can and above all, I ride defensively. I've had two crashes on the street, the first one was at 16 when I hit the back of a car because I wasn't paying attention, 5 pm traffic and my speed were contributing factors. The other was also my fault when I was so exhausted I shouldn't had been riding anyway, no other vehicles were involved. I've always loved riding and never been afraid of the risks.
  19. BIG MAG SALE THIS WEEKEND.
  20. G&L in Greenbrier has a used PX4 .40 cal. for $395.00. It's been knocked around but what a sweet trigger it has.
  21. Good article, I was really surprised that it was all positive. I'll be watching the editorials to see any counter opinions, maybe that nut who wrote a while back that the 2nd amendment was only for militias, not civilians, will put his two-cents in. Did anyone notice all the toys in the background of Mr. Pardue's, the retired school Principal had? Never knew Cheatham Co. schools paid so well. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  22. fixed. listen anytime, free online. Mark Levin
  23. Isn't it more like a religion for those liberals who are atheists?
  24. The wife thinks she needs it. I'm hoping to replace this liberal rag with Nashville Retrospect but I know she'll want local news without going to the web.
