  1. I envy you guys that can hunt/shoot in your backyard.
  2. I got one so I could shoot .22 shorts in the backyard with it. I keep a trap set for skunks and possums all the time and the .22 short is plenty enough to take them out without a lot of noise. Neat little pistol, I've had no problems. I did read somewhere that the frames are prone to crack, not sure under what circumstances. Taurus is now making a polymer version of the same gun.
  3. Gingrich also wants the fed audited and he has a better chance getting elected than RPaul. Just saying.
  4. The last time, and it will be the last time, I went to Gun City it was still the dungeon it was back in the 80's. G&L and The Gun Room in Lebanon are the same distance for me but the Gun Room is easier for me to get to. They have a very nice range and great folks to talk to. Look them up, they're near the Watertown exit.
  5. I remember my dad saying how depressing it was to listen to Carter. Amazing how similar they both sound. History repeating itself, lets pray for a brighter future.
  6. I believe he said "pass this bill" about 20 times. No need to read it, just ram it down our throats like obamacare. He must have gotten a pep talk from Pelosi prior to showtime. Now he will blame everything on the Republicans between now and election time, who didn't see that coming. What an idiot. Is it me or has he lost all creditability? (assuming he ever had any). I think he wanted to talk to the middle class but once again he's clueless, the majority of the middle class consists of the Tea Party and they are sick of him and government. Gawd, I wish this would end sooner.
  7. The Lebanon Gun Shop, and maybe others, also offers classes on reloading.
  8. I carry the Delica everyday and have for years. I got one with the serrated blade and find it very useful. Does a fair job of cutting an apple too. I had worn the serrations down over the years and returned it to Spyderco just a few weeks back. It was returned in completely re-conditioned or maybe replaced for only $25. Love the knife and their customer service. The Delica is heavy enough so you feel like you're holding something. I used the Rescue model with plastic handles while my Delica was returned and didn't like the light weight of it but it was a sturdy tool.

  10. May have already been posted or common knowledge but here's a neat link to save if interested. Recently saw Source Code, good movie BTW and noticed the use of a SR9. This site satisfies the need to know what is used in the movies. Category:Gun - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database
  11. Townhall Magazine has a straw poll with Perry at 28.6% and Ron Paul second at 21.2 %. Haven't heard much about Paul in the MSM, same as last time huh. Copied from todays email; Last month Rick Perry jumped ahead almost 11 points, this month he did it again. The newest entrant into the GOP presidential field amassed almost 30% of the Straw Poll votes in August, clearly outpacing his opponents. Congratulations Governor Rick Perry! Ron Paul's support finished relatively unchanged from last month, albeit this time in 2nd place. His support has remained steady without witnessing major fluctuations throughout the polling. Sarah Palin supporters may be giving up on their hopes that she will enter the race as she took the biggest hit this month losing 5.3 points. Herman Cain continues to drop but only by 1.7 points this time. Jon Huntsman climbed up from obscurity by finally registering 1% but that result was only good enough to beat out Thaddeus McCotter who continues to garner little support. After steadily gaining for 5 straight months Michele Bachmann finally regressed a bit by losing 3.2 points.
  12. 0bama Bumper Stickers (Anti-0bama, Pithy, Vanity) Bumper stickers help people to think, smile and get mad.
  13. I've got two S&W's, 22A and 22S, no problems out of either one. I had two magazines that wouldn't feed well, sanded on both and hadn't had anymore issues. Heck a lot easier to clean than the Ruger.
  14. Personally I'd rather not buy guns on the net, just me. You'd think paying cash at a dealer would get you a better deal than 3% off, which is all I've been offered. Even on used guns. If i knew I could get a deal, meaning $50 or $100 off on a used gun I buy more from a dealer. I think that's where their biggest profit comes from. Otherwise I'd rather buy on here or from friends. I was offered $150 for my new LC9 with 25 rnds through it and was told that's all they could do and they wouldn't budge on a new pistol which I was wanting to trade. The only time I did get a deal at a dealer was when the tag was marked incorrectly, it rang up higher, actually $50 higher but they honored the ticket price. I will usually buy something when I stop, mostly a box of ammo just to throw my support to the locals. But you think if a dealer has a large selection of used guns they'd be willing to deal. It's the times I guess, sales were great when Clinton first got in, despite the economy, the gun stores do well and maybe take advantage of it.
  15. Can you name some possible advisers to President Paul?
  16. A lot of good comments on how the questions determined your "ideal" or "almost ideal" pick. I find these polls enlightening and entertaining and encourages me to look closer at the findings. Santorum was my first pick when the races began months back and got 93% on this poll, I based that opinion on youtube and interviews. Personally I think he'd be pretty good but he's getting about as much attention as RPaul. I think it's odd that people who aren't even running are on the list, perhaps to steer your thinking towards other "like thinkers"?
  17. Same here with 93%
  18. I heard Mark Davis mention this link on the radio today and thought I'd share. http://www.SelectSmart.com/president Your answers may surprise you.

  22. There are many more cases like this that are seldom exposed. Case in point is the story of Eddie York - RealClearPolitics - Big Labor's Legacy of Violence Or the case of Eldon Fowler - Violence:Organized Labor's Unique Privilege A long time ago I worked for two unions at two different local companies. I got laid off from both and learned after leaving that a portion of my salary went to the Democratic party. Never again will I be part of a union.
  23. He was ignored last time too wasn't he..... Perhaps his son will have a better appeal.
