  1. Mark Levin is offering $100K for Savage to retire from radio and he's not doing it for the ratings
  2. That kid lives and breathes Ron Paul. Maybe he'll run for Mayor one day. I can't imagine any former BHO voter switching to RP. I think these folks were either pissed at GWB and clueless of politics in general. I think some voters will just vote republican to get rid of BHO and those folks will vote for the republican nominee. I've listened Savage, sounds like he needs to boost his ratings.
  3. I wonder if and when the USPS folded that the local newspapers could pick up this service? Considering both are about to go under maybe this ideal, that I pulled out of my butt, might salvage the papers and cut the government strings? FedEx and the rest could handle any packages. Dreaming aren't I.
  4. You mean bailed out by "US" don't you?
  5. What, everybody doesn't visit Weasel Zippers? Folks are missing out. +2400 votes, that's more than some straw polls.
  6. Typical of a government agency, nuff said.
  7. As much as any other news source....or poll. 100 new members since this thread was started, hmmm, cool .
  8. Congrats, I've read some comments about the Sig P290 having a few "issues". I hope the NANO turns out to be trouble free. Keep us updated.
  9. I fondled the Sig 1911-22 at G&L in the Hendersonville store. I too have a bug for one Reasonably priced IMO. I'd like to squeeze the Browning also.
  10. Here's a poll you can join in on and be sure to call a Paul supporter, looks like he's not doing to well in this one. Weasel Zippers » Blog Archive » Open Thread: ABC News Republican Debate — Update: Poll Added…
  11. • 68 percent believe Obama has not made any real progress on fixing the economy with only 28 percent believing he has mad progress. • 57 percent think Obama has worked hard to bring about change but a plurality, 48 percent, believe Obama has divided the country in doing so with only 37 percent saying he brought the country together. • 51 percent of voters continue to disapprove of Obama's "signature accomplishment", Obamacare, with only 35 percent approving. 13 percent think Obamacare will help them personally while 32 percent saying it will hurt them and 46 percent stating it will have no effect. • 75 percent think the country is on the wrong track and 21 percent say it is going in the right direction. • 46 percent disapprove of Obama's overall job performance with 44 percent approving. 12. Where in Mid-TN? Nice shot!
  13. FYI - Ethanol-free gas stations in TN
  14. Here, you can hear for yourself. 12/09 The Mark Levin Show Matter of fact you can hear any of his shows for free at his web site. Mark Levin
  15. Change 'fat" to skinny and "conservative" to libertarian and you got Ron Paul HA!
  16. The GOP establishment appears to care less what the voters want, they are seldom out there standing for a cause or backing a candidate, maybe it's just the media shunning them? Who knows. Both of those young fellows you mention will hopefully have a brighter vision and future than the current batch of geezers. Those two and maybe a few more are just the kind of men we need to elect at the state level. I had hoped Mike Pence would have gotten into the "P" game but once again hope and change will remain a lame slogan.
  17. I'm going to try and make this one, looks like a real Gun Show. National Gun Day.Com website - The best gun shows!
  18. If you're calculating your mileage using the cars computer or doing it the old way, try using a GPS on a few fill ups and see what you get. If you don't know it already don't us ethanol blended fuels in your lawn equipment and drain any tanks/cans that have sat unused for over a 3 month period. Stick with non-ethanol fuels if you can, obviously for the reasons already stated. I've noticed a little improvement when Seafoam is used as directed. Hardly worth the $9.00 a can IMO.
  19. My P238 is picky with the cheaper stuff. I only run Remington or Winchester for range ammo and never have a problem.
  20. When I'm in my truck I seldom speed and more relaxed but when I'm on my bike it's a different world. I'm much more observant/defensive and have an eagle-eye out for blue and whites and unmarks, not to mention arrogant a-holes who think I can dodge any obstruction in a split second. It's hard for me to run the limit on my bike, speed limit that is. I run a Escort 8500 and it has saved me a few times but I've also gotten a few tickets with it. Having a keen eye helped more often than the detector. Now that I think about it, this is the first year in several that I haven't gotten a ticket on my bike. Heck, one year I had to park it in Oct. to keep for losing my license.
  21. I've used Glow-On with good results. It's kind of gritty but works. I should add that it works best if the sights have an indention where the Glow-on can fill.
  22. How about some good news, A report released today by the centrist think-tank Third Way showed that more than 825,000 voters in eight key battleground states have fled the Democratic Party since Obama won election in 2008. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/12/voters-flee-democratic-party-in-key-swing-states/

    Taurus pt845

Taurus guns don't appear to very popular in broad based forums. Found that out looking into their new poly revolvers.
  24. Ahhh, doesn't matter. I need to refrain from the political crap sometimes, definitely no need in this thread.
