Alexander, Corker Want Us To Get LOST
kieefer replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This link was posted by peejman in another post and should help you sort through the "potentials". http://www.politics1.com/tn.htm Zach's got my vote. -
Here's Romney's speech in Irwin PA. http://www.therightscoop.com/soon-watch-romney-live-in-irwin-pennsylvania/ Keep it coming Mitt!

ABO, and it's down to Romney, it's as simple as that.
-
+1 only thing Bob Corker has going for him is Dave Ramseys endorsement imo.

Same here. I'm not sold on Romney or the GOP either but I'm willing to give him a try because he is the option the vast majority of voters picked and obviously he stands as the best chance of winning. I will be voting more against BHO than for Romney as I've done before but I do think he will at least rein in the spending. I sure would like to have someone else but my vote is my only option to have this current radical removed from office. I might as well fall in with the majority, making a statement by not voting or going with who I think would do better doesn't make my conscious feel any better especially if we are stuck with the worst possible option. Everyday this president divides this country and cuts our freedoms, his idea of what government does is beyond reality. Yesterday he said “if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that", I've never heard someone talk the way he does or do the things he does. He must be removed.

The Elephants and Donkeys deserve the BIRD
kieefer replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think it went askew with FDR but Johnson doubled down. Lets say for giggles Ron Paul was elected President in place of LBJ. Wouldn't the world be a different place now Who knows..... an Agent probably would have taken him out anyway. -

Oh, leave him alone. They're like obama-drones, their blinders won't let them see the big picture. I'll tell ya something, I've been reading some old political books including Barry Goldwaters writings and I'm beginning to think we are in the Matrix. I swear, the same or similar problems we are facing now were the same problems we had in the 60's. No siht. -
Fox News: Ron Paul Qualifies For Nomination
kieefer replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
ArmyVet is pulling your leg and more likely crying in his beer. Ron Paul lost Nebraska on Sat. This video he posted is news from May of this year. Ron Paul gets 'smoked' in Nebraska http://www.politico....ska-128948.html . -
The Elephants and Donkeys deserve the BIRD
kieefer replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You made my point. I've always felt RP is looking out for himself and no one else, he didn't make an effort to rally the troops in Nebraska to gain those "so important" delegates that were going to knock Romney out of the election . He knows he's done for but doesn't have the spine to help the Party and endorse Mitt. Rick Santorum sucked it up because he, like most of us, sees how important it is to remove the lair-in-chief. -

Ron Paul lost again in Nebraska. Some say because he did nothing while his supporters did all the work. Sad, thought he was in it till the end. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/07/ron-pauls-delegate-insurgency-ends-in-nebraska/ Will Mitt give him a spot at the podium? Why would he want to? Always Gary Johnson -
Ron ran out of luck on Sat., he lost Nebraska.

Mitt Romney Vs Ron Paul - Who Do You Choose?
kieefer replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
+1 I hope people understand just what the campaigner in chief did buy gutting welfare reform. His thinking is the more people on the government teet the more votes for him, same with his gay rights and immigration moves. Shameless low-down skunk this idiot is. Now here's a story where he plays dumb to just what he did. http://washingtonexaminer.com/obama-after-gutting-welfare-reform-americans-cant-be-looking-for-handouts/article/2502100 . -
What's funny is yesterday before the Condi news was announced a Romney donation solicitor called me. I told her I wasn't donating until I find out who his VP was going to be. She said it's between two people, Condi and Rubio. I told her if it was in fact going to be Rubio, or Paul Ryan or my first choice Allen West, I'll be sending in a check. When this news broke I laughed. Obviously she knew it was going to be announced. Apparently this speech Condi made really impressed Mitt. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=123269&page=1#.UACWChwbSRE

Here's a couple of questions for you ArmyVet, if you can't find it on a video please type it out. What are GJ's polling numbers along with Ron Paul's? What percentage of the vote do they need to have to continue their run for the WH? (I'm assuming of course they have set a % goal in which they think they can actually win and not be another Ross Perot.)

Dead on This is one reason why "they", Ron Paul in particular, look crazy to average folks and aren't taken serious. Like you said, they show up in a debate and spout ideas out of left field. People blow they off because they may have never heard of such ideas. Again, expand their message locally and see IF it builds from there. I don't think we need another party. It's obvious that the Donks are going to take the far left even further, the Tea Party sees we need to reform the Republican party and that's the direction I think we should take. The Libertarians can pick things up in between. Besides, there's several parties out there already, if one don't suit you, make one up.

Oh I understand. I can see that in reality there is no one person that gets elected that will ever, in this decade get rid of the IRS or the Fed. or remove our troops off foreign lands. When we have half the population that has no idea what the Fed does and no idea what a constitutional government should look like, plus add to that fact that they are also not paying taxes, how on earth do you expect turn that around with one election? I'm all for freedom and liberty but we've been digging this hole to tyranny for a long time. The Libertarian Party will not change it in one election. Their play book is no different than any other party, they have some great ideas that I like but I don't think I'll see any of them implemented within my lifetime. I hope that I would but my vote is too important to waste on a slim and none chance that it will happen. Having said that I also don't think Romney is our best choice but he is apparently our only choice at this time that has the best chance of slowing the bleeding. If he turns out to be another disaster then we have this fight for OUR freedom again in another 4yrs. and then maybe a few more people will wake up to what's happening.

right. it's out of the libertarian.........play book.

Allen West: Everyone should buy a Glock...
kieefer replied to Steelharp's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Love this guy, West calmly responded, with analysis on who the real “racists†are in politics: “I really feel that it is [demeaning] to me to think that I need some individual to ‘justify’ me and my existence . “Look, I went through 22 years being in the military. to the rank of Lt. Colonel. I have a bachelor‘s degree and 2 master’s degrees, and for these white liberals to believe they can have this condescending manner toward black conservatives, that we need to have approval from our quote unquote, I guess “masters,†for us to be able to speak — see that’s where the true racism really lies … is with the white liberals who don’t want to see someone such as myself, that broke away from their dependency class, and is out here and able to possibly contend against them with the policies that they are promoting that is destroying the black community . “I know I’m their #1 target, and it just emboldens me to speak out even stronger. And the heck with them if they think that someone else needs to approve [of] me and what I stand for .†Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) on Sunday called Social Security "a form of modern, 21st century slavery." Responding to a question about the increase of Americans getting Social Security benefits, he said, "that is an unfortunate consequence of failing economic policies coming from the president so that now when people are running out of the unemployment benefits, now they are looking toward going on Social Security disability… so once again we are creating the sense of economic dependence, which to me is a form of modern, 21st century slavery." This isn't the first time he's compared U.S. social programs to slavery.Last week, he said that President Obama "does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning, and having that title of American ... he'd rather you be his slave." -
I guess GJ's proposal to end the IRS is the same as RP's proposal to do away with the Fed. Both as likely as getting back to the Gold standard. Yes, I'm a party pooper.

The Elephants and Donkeys deserve the BIRD
kieefer replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The anxiety of Saturday's Nebraska vote got you all excited? Oh'boy, Ron Paul gets a 15minute speech at Romney's Convention if he gets his delegates on Sat.. The best thing he could say at this speech is for his supporters to get behind his friend Mitt and continue his fight with his no votes. My bet is that he won't, he will continue to divide the party that has gotten him more recognition than if he stuck with the Libertarian Party. Reminds me of oblameo with all his class-warfare and class-division, sorry, the game is more or less over with. Time for him to help Mitt all that he can and hope for a cabinet position before he retires. Turn the movement over to your son Ron and GJ and let the grassroots efforts flourish. No chance GJ or RP can beat MR, they only can hurt the real cause, getting BHO out of office.
