My wife, a Elementary School Counselor just reminded me of something. Kids that had autism, or any personality mental disorder were kept away from the, dare I say, the normal kids when we grew up in school, 1960/70's. Today, thanks to liberalism, these kids are riding on the same bus and sitting next to our "normal" sons and daughters. I have to think that this plays a part in why it seems that so many kids with mental issues are going over the edge in our society today and doing so when they get older. I think this actually puts more pressure on the disabled to "fit-in" and couple that with the violence in games and TV, the removal of God and Country along with the Ten Commandments and any mention of religion leaves these kids without hope and maybe a desire to make a statement. These kids do indeed have special needs that can't be ignored. Just saying. * Those TGO parents who have children who are challenged, please, I mean no disrespect and apologize if I offend you. Correct me if I'm way out of line.

Adam Lanza 20 was the shooter, not of age to purchase weapons. Ryan Lanza 24, still alive, in custody without being charged may have some answers. Sadly, we may have to wait for a OJ Simpson type televised trial to hear the details. Sickening. Just posted on Drudge; Ryan Lanza, 24, brother of gunman Adam Lanza, 20, tells authorities that his younger brother is autistic, or has Asperger syndrome and a “personality disorder.†Neighbors described the younger man to ABC as “odd†and displaying characteristics associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder... Yep, how about having TSA like "security" before you enter the grounds of a school, movie theater, shopping mall? Tyranny, it's growing and being accepted.

The Presidents/Idiot's quote, "And we’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics" Bend over, here it comes.

That and more Christian private schools. BUT, there's really no way of explaining a mad mans intentions. He also killed his parents and his girlfriend is missing. Now, tell me, tell me his parents didn't have some clue that their son was unstable and just failed to speak up? HIS mother was a teacher !!!, teachers no more about children than most parents!!! Just unexplainable. God bless the families of Newtown, CT. .

In light of the tragedy of what happened today in Newtown, CT this may the serious crisis that doesn't need to go to waste. BHO could take this opportunity to do things he only wished he could not do before. The media is naturally already politicizing this random act of a mad man. It's time to stir the anti-gun-turds back up to the surface. God bless the families of Newtown, CT. BHO could be the Great Leader the libs have wished for and according to the UN, the President of the World.

Most unusual gun you've seen used to qualify with for CCW.

A Desert Eagle XIX may have been in my class. Whatever it was it was huge, 6" barrel I'm sure and a large caliber. This guy bought his girlfriend and dressed like Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. I stayed my distance. -
+1 OUTPOST ARMORY has a bucket of Remington's HP's, 1400 count for $65.00. Personally I'd much rather visit a gun shop than the crowd at WallyWorld. Not sure how close Outpost Armory meets the definition of a "mom and pop" but they always have plenty of ammo in both bulk and 50 ct. boxes, heck, most gun shops have a good selection. I also just checked the Mt. Juliet WalM and they have the same ammo in 225 count for $10.00. Do the math, I would much rather mingle with gun lovers that fat women in spandex. :D But, if you're stuck on WallyWorld, go to the web site and see which store has your goodies before you visit. Might could ask them to hold you some. :dunno:

Bump - +1 for an interesting thread. Getting the itch for a 10/22 and beginning to think it may be fun to buy the custom parts and build one from scratch. I'm sure the stock 10/22 is just fine but if you didn't have one to start with would a custom build be worth it or is there a "stock" part that would suffice? Seems that most of the builds I read about (rimfirecentral.com) there's very little left of the stock rifle. edit, A simple search has revealed loads of info, for your knowledge. .

Looks real nice. I've been shopping for one like this myself.

My wife bought a new 2000 left-over Camry from Rivergate Toyota, overall this was a good experience. All the service I've done myself so I can't speak for their service dept. Personally I haven't bought a new car since 89 and that was my last bad dealer experience. When there was a Capital Chevorlet I bought a "new" S10 Blazer. The screwing or rather the buying as I recall was painless but the warranty work and service related to it was enough to drive me mad. Thinking that this SUV had been around long enough I had hoped all the problems were worked out, no so. The rear windows leaked water, numerous electrical problems all due to poor workmanship...from the factory and some caused by trying to fix the water leaks. Oil leaks that I never did get fixed, battery and alternator problems along with vacuum leaks related to the 4WD which resulted in trying to fix another oil leak. Several nicks and dings, inside and out from the mechanics working on it. They must of had a gorilla working in the interior because they broke a seat once, poked holes in two speakers. I made them clean the interior twice due to boot scuffs and dirty hand prints. I sold it about three yrs later and bought a used Ford.

Well, I hope it give some folks some ideas.
Actions > Words. Particularly from the mouth of a Politician. It came to light, so he HAD to apologize. Had he a "D" behind his name, I expect you, and a lot here, would be foaming at the mouth, screaming for his removal. Yet, when this info came to light, not ONE thread was made about it on this forum. Actions > Words.
After Clinton, I really could care less about the numerous perverts and degenerates with a "D" behind their name. Nothing surprises me anymore on how people vote or how politicians act. They'll be no "foaming" from me, my only recourse is my vote and I didn't cast one in the 4th district. We'll see how long Mr. DesJarlais stays in office and we'll see what HIS actions and words produce. BTW, 4th District TGO members are welcome just as you are to start a love/hate thread on their Congressman.

The red will require heat if you want to remove them one day.

Always thought Dave Ramsey's books should be required reading in HS but yeah, basic economics ought to be a required course. More importantly, it's all going to depend on whose doing the teaching. I could think of a lot more requirements needed before your right to vote is accepted.

I don't care what you think about Rush Limbaugh but he was discussing this exact subject yesterday and referred to his archives for this little tidbit. The topic started when he discussed the recent murder/suicide of Jovan Belcher and that lead to this vintage piece from his 1992 TV show. He's dead on IMO.
I lost a clip screw on my CRKT M16, so I contacted them via website and they promptly sent me a new complete clip and screw set free. Great company!
That's what I'd do. Spyderco will do the same.

this thread is racist.
Scott DesJarlais needs to resign. Abort 2 children because they would have been too much of a burden, but then run publicly opposing abortion? Having affairs with 2 PATIENTS? Is that not against the State code of ethics for Doctors? Should he have lost his license to practice? Prescribing highly addictive and abused pain killers to one of his mistresses? Probably due to her being his mistress? All of which was admitted to in Court? Yeah, no. DesJarlais is the poster child of what NOT to elect.
I somewhat agree but if he was a democrat his PAST actions would be a badge of honor. The man has asked for forgiveness. I'll give it to him IF he proves to be a hard nose conservative and not another f'ing RINO.

Don't forget about Jim Cooper either. Add him to the replacement list along with Corker and Alexander. Ralph Bristol on 99.7 brought up this subject this morning and basically endorses Rep. Scott DesJarlais but, he also strongly encourages the Tea Party to put up a contender to start fighting for Lamar's seat. He also mentioned that all the states Republicans endorses Alexander. So, call, write, email your disgust, assuming it would make a difference.

Have you shot the XDs with other ammo? Kinda curious how it feels compared to larger .45's. I suspect a 1911 would ideal but I've got a bit of a fever for the XDs.
