  1. Well then go for it.    I'm up against this quandary when I consider my R90s. It's not really pristine even after doing a mild restore back in 96 because the paint is so hard to duplicate and I don't want to drop the cash for an expensive paint job. Plus there are very few who could do a silver smoke the way BMW did it in 74. So it would look like a repaint. Also mine is almost close to a dark green rather than black which is rather rare.   Anyway IF I did the paint then a professional restore would be next, at least that's an excuse I've been using all these years. Something else with it is that the motor is not completely sock either so it would never bring the value of a stock R90s...so why spend the money on stock paint?   So I'll keep it like it is with all it warts and I not worry about it getting a rock nick or road tar on it.  :)
  2. I always look at it like this; if the bike is pristine go back original, if it's a bit of a rag take the rattle can after it and if it's somewhere in-between, well, flip a coin.  :D
  3.   Rubio said what every republican should be saying but sadly, more people saw him speak than Rand.    Rand/Carson 2016  :)
  4. +1 on the soil sample no matter what you're growing.   My wife's family has a cemetery that I took over maintaining almost 30yrs ago. When I started on it.. it had nothing but packed leaves for ground cover and four huge trees at each corner and a few sassafras seedlings.  Anyway the lot is 50x50 and over time I tried to develop a lawn worth mowing and used Zoysia plugs on the back half thinking I could get it to spread. To this day I'm still trying to get it to spread to the other half which is mostly KY31. I have a lawn worth mowing but it's not all zoysia.   Granted, this lot is not where I have water access too, it's on a slant with about 5 hrs of sunlight on the majority of the lot and I seldom have used fertilizer and never got soil samples. Now, the zoysia area looks great, not a weed in it and I like to have it in my lawn at home. Every Fall I dig up 6"x6" plugs and replant in other areas. Maybe in another 30?   Like any plant you'll need to know what makes it flourish and provide the right environment for it to do so.
  5. "That woman" needs to put those words in 60 second sound bites, buy a media source and get her word out.
  6. I wasn't listening when I kept hitting the negative button. I was being bi-partisan.
  7. How many needs to be taken out before we get to someone who still believes in small government and the Constitution?   :D
  8. I'm not giving him credit for anything except for record numbers in gun sales.
  9.  I did the same. Don't think we were alone.  :usa:   BTW, Rubio's response was much better and more detailed than what Drudge has.   Rand Paul here -   http://static.teapartyexpress.org/
  10. This is a State issue, not a FED issue. I agree, I enjoyed the vocational part of school more than anything and for someone who is not interested in college this a great opportunity to learn a skill in the last 3 years of HS. BUT, BHO and the federal gov. should leave these decidisons up to the States and not dictating what the states should do.    Rand Paul here -  http://static.teapartyexpress.org/     .
  11. Rubio's response is GOOD real good.
  12. Rubio's comments;   http://www.drudgereport.com/flashmr.htm
  13. Don't care to see or hear the liar-in-chief but Marco Rubio and Rand Paul will be speaking afterwards.....so...if anyone knows what time the marxist will quit dictating, please let me know.   duplicate thread btw
  14. That's a nice looking.............cot.  :stalk:

  16. More from the Dr. Ben   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/11/dr-ben-carson-fires-back-at-critics-somebody-has-to-be-courageous-enough-to-stand-up-to-the-bullies/
  17. Speaks up at BHO's prayer breakfast, I like him already.  :usa:   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/08/conservative-doc-reveals-why-he-spoke-out-against-obamas-policies-at-prayer-breakfast-plus-would-he-ever-run-for-president/   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/10/ben-carson-logic-party/   His moment of fame may burn out soon but it's good to hear words like his.

    Moles

Watching for them in the morning and noon has worked for me along with gum or poison pellets in their tunnels. If you have the time put sticks in their runs, sit back and sip a few an watch the sticks move, then go after them with the shovel or your .22.   I have also sprayed for grubs and that worked for a while. I've heard castor oil or the beans also work. I don't know if castor oil hurts the lawns though, guess not, mix in a sprayer with water.
  19.   as long the zombies don't become offended, we'll be alright.
  20. After the idiot speaks/lies on Tuesday about the SOTU we'll get to hear both Rand and Rubio.  :usa:   http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/02/09/rand-paul-to-deliver-tea-party-response-to-obama-state-union-speech/
  21. http://washingtonexaminer.com/white-house-jon-stewart-more-substantive-than-other-media-outlets/article/2520843?custom_click=rss White House: Jon Stewart ‘more substantive’ than other media outlets   Well, there you go.
  22. OK, Oh Shoot says it a done deal. Throw in the towel folks it's over.  :waiting:
  23. I can't see Hillary in 2016, not after 8 yrs of the young articulate black man that can speak with a negro dialect when he wants too. An old woman for President? (more like Bidens VP pick if you ask me). Old and stupid is not a winning ticket imo....wait...well maybe.   I think the honey boo boo-where's my obama-phone crowd would be more likely to vote for Beyonce over Billary, but I've been wrong before.   Frankly I could care less who they put up, they will win IF the Republicans won't stand their ground, fight back and make a clear argument and above all, give R-voters a reason TO vote. This ABO crap didn't work out so well.   BTW, Rand Paul on Radical Islam - http://weaselzippers.us/2013/02/06/rand-paul-delivers-major-speech-on-threat-of-radical-islam/#more-134797
  24. There is some up and coming true patriots out there and now and then they do get some face or air time. These are the ones we need to support and help to get their name out. Both Rand and Rubio have been outspoken here lately but always watch on how they vote. I really don't trust any of them anymore.   +1 on the work that Jim Demint is doing behind the scenes along with what Sarah Palin.  http://www.sarahpac.com/candidates has a list of good potentials who have their heads and hearts in the right place.
  25. Sweet
