Interesting article from the Tennessean
kieefer replied to billyscott's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The state had a flood of background checks to run in the past two months because of worries that new gun legislation might restrict certain semi-automatic rifles. Dodson said the volume made background checks even more of a problem. The TBI said it dealt well with the increase in gun sales, which saw jumps after Obama was elected in 2008, after he was re-elected in 2012 and after the Newtown shootings. The agency said it will be able to handle additional increases if universal background checks pass. I'd just write it off, the TBI guys are swamped as expected. -
Mark Levin is talking with Doc. Ben Carson right now online, today. His show is on now on 99.7 but the interview will be in the last half hour. Or you can go to Mark's site and listen to it any time, todays date.

Excellent defense AR  People dislike Palin like we dislike KingNothing but it's very illogical to me to think Palin is incompetent and not capable of running a government or doesn't have our country's best interests first. IF we had someone better than McCain in 2008 along with Palin, I'm sure some people would think more positively of her by now. :usa: -
Obama signs 23 executive orders
kieefer replied to jphillips63's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Highlight of the day; Nearly half of the crowd at Saturday’s Elite 8 game between Syracuse and Marquette at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. booed President Barack Obama when he was shown on the big screen with just over ten minutes to play in the first half. After the boos erupted, a contingency of Obama supporters countered with cheers. He's among his brothers here isn't he? -
And everyone thought Sarah Palin was a dolt. Some still do.

If you have an aftermarket barrel and you drop it in a puddle of mud, jello, or freeze it in a block of ice, will it still shoot? I know this is a big selling point for Glock users and would hope changing out an inferior barrel wouldn't change that. :D

I had a friend reload some 9mm's and some of the brass had the "smile" and wouldn't chamber in my SR9. Both of us went through the rounds and tested each one in a barrel. Checking each load this way would be a good practice especially if you get your brass from different sources.
-
I'd like to see pics and what he thought happened. Is it possible a round got stuck in the barrel and one fired on top of it? Wouldn't a primer without powder push the bullet out of it's casing but not out of the barrel? Is the brass still intact? If the brass is exploded I'd guess a double charge. Time to do a root-cause-anlaysis before a news team shows up. :tinfoil: Might as well go get a drug test too. :hiding: Seriously, I'm glad he's OK. :usa:

I did a quick search and didn't come up with a CCI plant fire but there are others though.

Liberalism explained Peanuts style
kieefer replied to kieefer's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Actually "statists" are what they really are. Libs are ashamed of who they are and are always redefining the meaning of words to hide behind. -
I had no idea they made trigger kits for pellet guns....where have I been?

Subscribed. Been thinking about the same thing since my Crosman 760 recently died. I have noticed that Sports Authority had decent prices compared to what I found at http://www.airgundepot.com/ (good info on this site BTW).

It's the "do as I say not as I do" mentality. Sly Stallone was once considered a conservative but it appears that all of the steroids has shrunken not only his manhood but his brain as well. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/59578-stallonedouchebag/?hl=stallone
