NJ Governor Chris Christie Signed 10 Gun Bills Today
kieefer replied to greenego's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Good grief. KingNothing still has 2 full years to finish destroying our economy and to start a civil war, way too early to even consider anyone else ruling besides King 0. -
I would send it back with the magazines but I'm a little pissed because I just returned a sandwich with no meat on it from Arby's of all places. So yea, I'd send it back. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Nice grips for the P238 and P938 here. :) . -
Saw a preview of Emperor with Tommy Lee Jones as General Douglas MacArthur, this may be good. Anyone seen it? +1 on War of the Worlds, I remember seeing it in B&W. Don't forget to drop the needle on Dark Side of the Moon when the Lion roars at the beginning of The Wizard of OZ :tough:

Calling all bikers!!! What do you have/had?!
kieefer replied to whitewolf001's topic in General Chat
The one I had was a hand-me-down from my brother, Green, I think he had gotten a 305 Scrambler. I was 15 and was suppose to only ride in the backyards and around the block but I took off one day up McGavock Pike in afternoon traffic. Flying over a hill, traffic had stopped and I plowed into the back of a car. A dark blue Sunbeam. I woke up in a yard across from the accident, unable to speak, scared me to death. I didn't break anything or rather I was never xrayed. The car driver apparently saw that I was alive and left the scene or maybe thought I was dead, don't know. Suffered some road rash and I felt like I was beat with a bag of potato's.....for days. I stayed off motorbikes for a year but obviously got back on them. Love the FJR, I seemed to be stuck on Beemers for quite awhile but this bike is really nice. If I could come to part with it the 013's would be my next bike. It fits me but I also have bar risers and a Russell seat I also added hyway pegs. It's a roomy rocket-ship. The only thing I don't like is the bags but I don't pack much anyway. I looked at the Concours14 but it seemed too big and cluttered. I also recently sat on the new Trophy. The Trophy sat very well for me and it's getting good reviews. If the Triumph didn't look like the BMR RT it may be a contender against the new FJR. The FJR is a good looking bike, defines sport-touring iMO. Ride all three and see which one fits you the best, they are all nice bikes. BTW, there may be some left-over Honda ST's if you're looking in that field. Good luck  -

Galloway Precision has some fixes for that LC9 trigger. Though I haven't tried them I look forward to picking up another one just to see. -

 Now, this particular story happens to be about guns. The Democrats are still trying to win the gun issue, which means taking yours away from you. Democrats winning the gun issue means getting rid of the Second Amendment, getting rid of the right to bear arms. This little manual here is a how-to manual in persuading people to agree that everybody else needs to get rid of their guns. They don't say it this way, but it's obviously very clear, don't even go near the right versus wrong of the Constitution. Don't go near any statistics about gun usage, don't even go near there. Strictly emotion. It instructs politicians and advocates to hype high-profile gun incidents, like Trayvon Martin, to win support for new gun control laws. At the bottom of his monolog are other links to his discussion about the story by Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner uncovering a document of 80 pages, 80-page talking points titled "Preventing gun violence through effective messaging." http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323477604579000731721030424.html?KEYWORDS=JAMES+TARANTO .

Here's the Democratic tactic to brainwash the masses. http://washingtonexaminer.com/democratic-anti-gun-guide-urged-using-trayvon-martins-death-to-hit-nra-guns/article/2533972 Heard on Rush today and probably should have a thread of its own. http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2013/08/09/the_democrat_language_manual_advises_100_emotional_manipulation

Correct, I thought that didn't sound right and gave up too early on my search. Thanks for the correction.

Petition against funding obamacare
kieefer replied to kieefer's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
OBAMACARE EXCUSES Arm yourselves with this information before you contact your senators or confront them at town hall meetings. EXCUSE #1 -- "The information you have is wrong; I fully SUPPORT defunding Obamacare." RESPONSE -- We're NOT asking you to support defunding. We're asking you to OPPOSE all Obamacare funding. Supporting legislation to defund Obamacare that has ZERO chance of becoming law is only symbolic. We need Senate Republicans to OPPOSE the upcoming government funding bill if it funds Obamacare. This is our only point of leverage. If these senators haven't signed Senator Mike Lee's letter, they haven't pledged to oppose Obamacare funding when it counts. EXCUSE #2 -- "You can't defund Obamacare on a spending bill because some Obamacare funding is mandatory." RESPONSE -- This is not true. Legislative language can be included that stops all funding for Obamacare. Congress has the power to make laws and it can add language to the government funding bill to turn off all funding for Obamacare. Senator Ted Cruz has written language that can be included in the funding measure to do just that. Again, if these senators haven't signed Mike Lee's letter, they aren't truly against Obamacare. EXCUSE #3 -- "I oppose Obamacare, but I don't want to be blamed for a government shutdown." RESPONSE -- If you're not willing to fight to stop Obamacare when it counts, then you don't really oppose Obamacare, you don't have the courage to lead, and you should NOT be in office. If President Obama shuts down the government just to implement his failing and unpopular health care law, that's a debate we can win. But many Republicans are afraid to take stands that cause them to be criticized. These politicians are more interested in holding on to power than protecting Americans from socialized medicine. The time for excuses is over. If Republicans won't draw a line in the sand to stop Obamacare, when will they? And if they're not willing to ever have a showdown with President Obama, what's the point of electing them and having two parties? POLL QUESTION: If Republican senators vote to fund Obamacare, should they face a primary challenge in their next election? Americans want Republicans to have the courage of their convictions. It's why the Republican Party will never restore its image and begin to win national elections until it puts principle ahead of politics. It's also why the Senate Conservatives Fund will only support true conservative leaders for the U.S. Senate in 2014. Republicans need to either lead or be replaced with people who will. Thanks for your continued support. We will keep fighting. Best regards, Matt Hoskins Executive Director Senate Conservatives Fund -
After watching the movie Phantom I looked out in the backyard and see a skunk roaming around. What's the movie got to do with a skunk you wonder?, it gave me an idea  I put a wood floor in my trap and it would really be better to cover with sheet metal along with the sides because they will try to scratch out. Then I put the set trap in a large trash bag and tossed some cat food in with it. I had my skunk trapped this morning, this is where the movie comes in. The skunk torn up most of the bag and why the sides should be covered but I used my large trash can also with a bag in it and put him and the cage in it. Pretty well sealed I started up the truck,... you get the idea :death: Through the bag I could open up and slide the skunk out of the trap and in to the trash bag. Double bag if needed and carry off to an outside trash can at your local "no guns posted" establishment. ;)

Has Hitler: The Last Ten Days Downfall been mentioned? Good film and most likely you've seen a piece of it, a clip of it has done to describe Hitler's dislike with Glocks, BMW's and even a clogged toilet.

Just finished U571, this may have been the 5th time since it came out and still as intense as the first. I have Pacific in holding, never seen it and I'm already disappointed so I may skip it and re-view Enemy at the Gates. Sounds like the liberals had a finger in the Pacific. :bored: Caster mentioned Defiance with Daniel Craig, also have this one in the collection and it is very good. OK, how about a couple of Chick war movies? Cold Mountain and Atonement are very good dramas in a war period with good stories. Also, Hannibal Rising has a war theme also but I wouldn't say it's a chick movie

Back in the 70's it was pretty nice and you would always see a police officer in there. Started going down hill in the 90's I think. Surprises me too on how it's survived. .

The idiot is clueless. I wish he'd come up on an audience that would boo and throw eggs at him. Maybe he'll mistakenly show up at a Tea Party townhall meet....nah, never happen.

Back then kids wouldn't think about hitting an adult. Punks today have beat their mama's because they've seen their so-called father figure do it. No respect or morals have been taught.

Hind site is 20/20, I suspect he knew who the thugs are on his bus stops and he should have took a baseball bat to these Trayvon wanna be's. +1 on the one way ticket to Afghanistan.

Same tactics kingNothing has used, may be an action item in the book, Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky.
-
You know the answer to this. There are numerous incidents of black on white crime that's not covered, it doesn't fit their agenda. The bus driver was a coward, he could have done something despite policy. A taser gun or a can of mace would have come in handy. BTW, here's another one glossed over by our media - http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2013/07/16/Allen-West-Where-was-NAACP-and-media-when-two-black-teenagers-shot-a-white-baby-in-the-face

That was my first stop, apparently it's too new for a list of weapons used. There are many great older movies but you don't see many new ones coming out. Guess the market dictates this, same goes for Sci-Fi  Prometheus and Cloud Atlas were pretty good with C-Atlas having a bit of war theme into it. How about War Horse?

Just watched Phantom with Ed Harris on DVD, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1922685/?ref_=sr_2 Very good, I enjoy a good war movie like this. Hunt for Red October, U571, Behind Enemy Lines, Enemy at the Gates. Phantom falls in line with these imo. Unable to identify the weapons used but it's a good flick worth viewing.

yea, some would like to see it fully implemented no matter what the cost but within 9 days, signatures went from 86K to 268K. Word is slowly getting around. Meanwhile Congress gets an exemption - http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/08/07/usa-health-congress-idUSL1N0G820F20130807?feedType=RSS&feedName=rbssHealthcareNews&rpc=22 Us peons, not so lucky.
