Yes, I noticed and suspected as much. Looks like the gun debate may be exploited again, that seems to be the angle the MSM is taking. I say that because I was in Longhorn for lunch today and they had CNN on. They spent maybe 5minutes on chemical weapons being used in Syria but spent about 15 on gun control in Australia. -
Bill Cosby, we still have some of his early vinyl from 1963-69. Along with some Beatles and Zeppelin.

Here's your chance to at least snub your nose at Lamar if nothing else. :usa: The Alexander machine will be a tough one to stop but Joe has got my vote and some of my money. I am answering the call. Will you help us? View this email in your browser Facebook Twitter Website Dear Keith, Ginny and I have been humbled beyond measure by the outpouring of prayer, encouragement and financial support in our run for Congress. Time and time again those same people have said; ‘Our nation is in crisis, and the American dream is slipping away. We need somebody who will fight for us. Will you please run against Lamar Alexander?’ After serious thought and prayer, as well as repeated requests, I felt compelled to answer the call and enter the race for United States Senate. Conservatives deserve a clear voice in this election, and conservative champions like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul need a strong ally from Tennessee in the US Senate. Since I first announced my congressional exploratory committee eight months ago I have received literally hundreds and hundreds of requests from Tennesseans asking me to run for the US Senate instead of the US House. Tennesseans are hungry for strong, principled, conservative leadership. So I am answering the call. Lamar Alexander has failed to advance the conservative movement and change Washington. He voted for amnesty for 11 million illegals, supported funding Obamacare and rubber stamped Obama‘s appointments to cabinet level positions and the Supreme Court. Voting with President Obama 62% of the time is unacceptable. He’s become part of the problem. The only way to change the culture in Washington, is to change the men and women we send there. I will advance the conservative movement in Washington. I will fight for the Constitution and the first principles that made our country great: personal responsibility, individual liberty, and limited government. I will stand firm in defense of the 2nd amendment and ensure that the lives of the unborn have a strong and vocal advocate. The Judeo-Christian values that helped frame this nation are under constant attack, and it’s time we had somebody from Tennessee in Washington who is willing to fight back for those first principles that founded this great nation. I have no illusions. This is David versus Goliath. But I have extraordinary faith in my fellow Tennesseans. They will see through the spin and the rhetoric and recognize they have a clear choice to elect a conservative fighter. I will work tirelessly, and I will give my all for Tennessee. But I can't do it without you. Will you help us take our message to Washington by generously donating $100, $250 orwhatever you can afford today? We're grateful for your support. Now that goes way back, I don't think I could tie my shoes but I do remember the Goose. I think I bought Keds tenny shoes at the same store, Caster Knotts in Donelson in my later years. :D

The Terminators: Rise of the States
kieefer replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well according to the fool in the WH the Republicans hate everything, don't have a plan, want everyone to suffer and want to cut funding to everything just and good, they're/we're racists too. So like Punisher said, they basically sit on their hands and take the tongue lashing, meanwhile dumb and dumber watching MSNBC are spoon feed nothing else. So, it surprises me that they even had a booth, it wouldn't surprise me if the Dems set one up just to slander Republicans. Glad to know, at least in Wilson Co. that they had a copy of the Constitution to pass out. Lamar and Bob gonna show up? They need a copy. -

In a nutshell; 1. most gun deaths are suicides, not criminal violence. 2. there were anywhere between 500,000 to 3 million defensive uses of guns, per year. 3. both accidental deaths and mass shootings have declined, both accounting for very small fraction of gun related deaths. 4. Most criminals gain their guns from family, friends or illegal means, and so outside the “controls†envisioned by the gun control gang. 5. High gun related homicides are in Illinois, California, New Jersey, Washington D.C. skew the figures; these are areas where there are some of most restrictive gun laws. Thus, the study tends to show that most of the gun control talk, is just that, talk, without much reality in actually addressing gun crime, and tends to support most of the things that gun rights advocates have repeatedly said. http://thenewamerican.com/usnews/crime/item/15941-cdc-study-ordered-by-obama-contradicts-white-house-anti-gun-narrative hat tip Weasel Zippers

I made me a gas chamber today  (search "skunks") along with covering my trap with sheet metal except for a sight hole to insure I have a skunk and not the neighbors cat. The chamber is just a cardboard box that the trap will fit in, I cut a hole in it for my shop-vac hose which conveniently fits inside my exhaust pipe  May come up with a tupperware box to house the trap with a sealing door so I don't have to move the trap at all until the deed is done. Seems I have more skunks that I thought, gassed my 3rd one yesterday. :death: Might have to make the rat trap for my Dad, seems he has quite a few small furry critters driving his dog crazy. :koolaid:

There's no way of knowing what Mitt and Ryan would do but I would bet Romney would have the respect for the office to admit the problems and do what he can to correct them. Also, in Ryan's budget he planned to cut foreign aid by at least 10%, considering the recent events in Egypt I would also bet we wouldn't be supporting the MB and we would have cut off aid a long time ago. But who knows what would be different, better or worse but we damn sure knew what we were going to get with this incompetent boob running our country now. Romney was the only logical alternative to end the current disaster. Either way we have to deal with it now and hope our options improve for 2016, and Christie shouldn't be one of them. . -
