  1. I got the same letter too, peejman. That lip service and Corker's record made me go to the Blount County courthouse today and pull the lever for Zach Poskevitch.
  2. John Duncan, our congressional rep from the 2nd district, just sent me a letter to lure my vote for his re-election. After saying that he's a fiscal conservative, he makes this pitch: This coming from one of the bozos who went along with the Washington establishment and voted to raise the debt ceiling at Boehner's and Obama's bidding. I wrote back and told him I was voting for Joseph Leinweber. He may be a liar too, for all I know, but he hasn't insulted my intelligence yet.
  3. I got an email from TN Senator Bob Corker about this issue. After all the usual flag waving, "I stand for your constitutional rights" chatter, he includes this: Well, not for nuthin', Bob, but these lying rascals who want to take our firearms aren't advertising that it's a gun grab. They say they just want to control international arms transfers to protect us, but they'll grab the rest once they're inside the tent. I want a representative who nips tyrannical assaults on our freedoms in the bud, not just "closely monitors them." You think you might get off your honorable duff and walk over to the House side for some man lessons from these bulldogs, Bob? By the way....he's pretty presumptuous saying that he'll monitor anything over the next year, seeing that he's up for re-election this year.
  4. When he voted to approve Timothy Geithner I emailed him to voice my disapproval of letting a tax cheat run the Treasury Dept. He wrote back that we should allow Prez Zero to have anyone he needs to get the economic system under control and said that Geithner was "most qualified." I wrote back, "With that standard, I believe Rod Blagojevich is qualified to be a Tennessee senator." He blocked my email from then on.
  5. Arizona residents: Be advised that if there's a shootout with illegals, you may get run over by retreating Border Patrol agents. http://tucsonoutpost.blogspot.com/2012/06/this-from-border-patrol-union-web-site.html
  6. Here's a conservative with his hat in the ring: Zach Poskevich
  7. The perfect gift for the guy who can't decide if he wants to look like Obama's son, Trayvon, or a middle eastern terrorist.
  8. Okay, if you want cheap, I'll stick my neck out and suggest a Phoenix HP .22. A few of my friends have them and they say it's a great pistol with a great warranty. Although the safeties take some getting used to, it eats all kinds of trash. But it's the kind of pistol you would want to carry in a plain brown bag.
  9. A wise message to all young dogs in the hood.
  10. As a retired aircraft mechanic, I can tell you there's no such thing as a perfectly good airplane. Of course, I'm a little wrong in my head, too.
  11. I'm on the far right with some BersaChat.com members at a Meet and Greet in Hickory, NC. Photo by a Hooters girl (no I haven't got a pic of her).
  12. Better still: Hike with companions and everybody's carrying.
  13. For those uninitiated as myself, where are you at the show? I could use some powder and primers, too.
  14. I've been watching Audie Murphy westerns lately. Not the best westerns, but entertaining.
  15. Sixty eight years ago the tide turned in the European theatre of World War 2 as 130,000 allies stormed the Normandy beaches or infiltrated inland by glider or parachute. It was a desperate gamble which, although not perfectly executed, resulted in the liberation of France and ultimately other occupied nations. As long as we remember and honor their sacrifice, it will be natural to offer our own.
  16. The Aurora, CO police had a "virtual certainty" that a bank robber was among the people stopped at an intersection. So they pulled everybody out and cuffed them until his identity was discovered. Legal headaches to come. http://abcnews.go.co....r-bank-robber/
  17. And 38 were suspended. It's rumored that they wanted to take passengers to dinner first before groping them. http://www.news-press.com/article/20...S01/120604020/
  18. A man posted his views online questioning the president's citizenship and motives and, well.....inquiring minds want to know. http://www.wnd.com/2012/06/video-bir...ecret-service/
  19. Ditto JG55's Bersa Thunder .22. It doesn't eat junk very well. Stay with Mini-Mags and Remy Goldens and you should do well.
  20. It was a bit too highbrow for me.
  21. And remember to call the concentration camps being set up here "FEMA death camps" and not American death camps. http://nstarzone.com/CAMPS.html
  22. Sixty-eight years overdue but well worth the wait. A local veteran who was thought to be killed in action in France was reunited with some buddies 25 years later and is now awarded the French Legion of Honor medal. http://www.thedailyt....edal-id-024183
  23. If only the cop had Hornady Zombie ammo, he wouldn't have had to shoot so many times.
  24. Any ad promoting a drug. I don't want to tell my doctor about any medication--let him do his homework.
  25. This seems like a good time and place to ask. When an LEO asks if you know why you were stopped, shouldn't you play dumb and let him tell you why? I thought confessions only worked out well if you gave them to a priest.
