She announced that Argo won the Oscar--that's the flick about the group of Canadians that helped rescue some Iranian hostages. You know, kinda like Obama and Benghazi.....no, wait... -

I was glad to see the franchise has come full circle. Too many of the plots were about as believeable as Obama's promises. Never did care for M with estrogen.

I'm keeping my betting money in my pocket until Hillary's in the match, too. :-\

This was passed along in an email, so take it with however many grains of salt you wish. It's about what we may expect about the guns and ammo inventories in the coming months. Maybe it will confirm or deny what you've heard, but I'm sure to a lot of you any news is welcome so that you can make plans. Please comment on any part you find to be questionable--that's how these things get sorted out. Devon Harris {from Federal} at the SHOT show, said the industry used to worry about selling what they make, now they worry about making what they sold. No sign of it letting up on the retail level, at least here in Ohio. Even Wall Mart has put 3 box limit on ammo, any ammo including shot gun shells. Everyone in the shell industry that I talked with had their plants running balls to the walls, 18 months worth of production is spoken for, they were some what worried about raw materials. Doug Ross has several important info updates about the status of the gun industry followed by an inventory update. We traveled to Texas for Industry meetings concerning the shortages, here's what we were told: Smith & Wesson: Running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages. RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days. FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1. Remington-Maxed out! Armalite: Maxed out. DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product. COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by Bolt carriers. LWRC: Making only black guns, running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels. Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind. AMMO: Every caliber is now allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible with 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by law enforcement, and civilians are third in line. MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags, do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon. RELOADERS... ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra's for reloading purposes... it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted. Bow Owens says they didn't know when they'd be getting anything back in stock, from magazines to rifles to pistols. Manufacturers were running full-bore, but couldn't come close to keeping up with market demand. It wasn't just the AR-15s, the AK-pattern rifles, the M1As, and the FALs that were sold out. It really hit me when I realized that the World War II-era M1 Garands, M1 carbines, and Enfield .303s were gone, along with every last shell. Ubiquitous Mosin-Nagants -- of which every gun store always seems to have 10-20 -- were gone. So was their ammo. Only a dust-free space marked their passing. I've never seen anything like it. Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100+ years was gone. This isn't a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war. Barack Obama, Dianne Feinstein and the rest of the Statists have done more to promote gun ownership than the NRA ever did. Well done, Democrats.

I'm in for some small pistol primers, powder and bullets. What you got is what I need.

I've owned a predecessor to the S&W 5900 series, the Model 469. I liked it and used it as a carry for about a year. Then I heard about the Bersa Thunder 9 UC and bought one second hand at a gun show. The 469 is now just a memory while the UC 9 belongs to the wife and it's her favorite. I've also owned the Bersa 9 HC and the new BP9CC. Both of them are solid winners in my book. I'd trust my life with either of them. Not that I'm a Bersaholic. I'd love to take the Shield out for a spin, but I can't find one, even if I could afford it. I've found that reliability and personal ergonomics trump cosmetics and name brand recognition when it comes to using the pistol for its primary purpose. Heck, even Goldilocks quit looking after she found the one that suited her best.

So this is how Prez Zero is going to run the so-called United States of America. Maybe we can sue for false advertising. -

I suppose NBC News is going to sell that mag on Gunbroker to cover the lawyer fees. -
If people start getting splinters, how long until this thing's banned? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Assault-Weapon-A-MUST-HAVE-this-is-not-an-AR15-/261151027123?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ccdd06fb3&afsrc=1

Here's one protest all of us can take part in....and have fun. Head to your favorite LGS or shooting range on Jan. 19 as part of a coast to coast thumb in the eye to Prez Zero. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/01/gun-appreciation-day-before-inauguration-85844.html

Dean Garrison in his blog tells it pretty much like it is as far as citizen responsibility goes to preserve the republic. However, the big question is, "Are we too far down the road to the American dream to stop the American nightmare?"

Isn't anybody asking this bozo who introduced the bill why he wants it passed? Not for nuthin', but I'd rather see some term limits placed on Congress instead.

As long as we allow these leftists to keep personal defense against bad guys as the central issue, the public won't see the greater danger of what the Second Amendment is all about. Why did everyone go out and empty the shelves of gun stores after this last election? Is it because they thought they were in imminent danger of being robbed or their home invaded? No. The simple reason is that people who are concerned about the future of the country know that the political process has been hijacked by totalitarian forces bent on stealing the ownership of our republic from the people to whom it belongs. Let's stop this endless bog of perpetual discussion about a person's right to defend himself. Even most people who don't own firearms recognize that necessity. The freedom of our whole nation is at peril here and it is this danger that should concern gun owners the most, just as it did our founding fathers in their day.

Facebook Call For Nationwide 2A Peaceful Demonstrations
gun sane replied to gun sane's topic in Events and Gatherings
I'm sure it will be picked up on other media as well. For a heads up, they're asking gun owners to meet at their home state's capitol building on Friday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon EST to show support for the 2A. They hope for a million to show. For Tennessee that would mean the event is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. -
The U.S. Senate voted "in a bipartisan way" to increase taxes and defer spending cuts early this morning. The media reports it as a great victory for the president and for America. Perhaps when the government checks stop coming from a dried up treasury more people will wake up and throw support our way.

Fair enough. I'll take it in the chops if it means we get a little fire in the belly. :woohoo:
