  1.   True, the Battlemug is only a patented design.  Dress a public domain mug up in an AK-47 outfit and maybe they'll sell like crazy.  Unless someone beat you to it.
  2.   Autsch! Sie haben Recht. Ich würde Merkel über Obama jeden möglichen Tag dauern.
  3.   You're just jealous because we won.  :taunt:
  4. It's also very logical.  The German word for "hydrogen" is Wasserstoff---material or "stuff" that makes water.
  5. Wunderbar!
  6. The conspiracy may be widening.  I called the managing editor of the Maryville Daily Times but got voice mail.  It's been three hours and no return call.  :hiding:
  7. I posted again.  I'll be looking for a black and white outside my door in the near future.

    Wasps!

I'm not a connoisseur of insect stings, but I'd rather be hit by a hornet than one of those red, black-winged wasps.   They do some serious hurtin'.  We had some hornets burrow a hole by the house foundation last year.  One of them got me as I was taking out the trash.  It was a faint little sting and I didn't really notice it until later.  Turns out there were about 20+ down in that nest hole.  But I'm especially on the lookout for red wasp scouts looking for a good place to hang a nest under the eaves or elsewhere.  I welcome them as I would a bloodthirsty home invader.
  9. You might have told the cops that the skunk attacked and you had to shoot in self defense.  The problem is finding a hoodie that small.
  10.   The Dems can turn the air blue with hate speech and name calling, but we have to remain calm and respectful.  I've often wondered if those original patriots took the wrong approach in fighting for America's future.

    Wasps!

I was out barefoot in the backyard just after a good rain.  I rounded a corner where the gutter drainpipe was and stepped on one of those red devils that the water had washed from his nest.  Dang, I wish I hadn't done that.  A baking soda poultice brought the swelling down and I was pain and itch free in a couple of days.
  12.   OS, I've been wondering what you might have in common with Obama.  :)
  13.   Done.  I wrote, "I'm not certain that a lot of folks know about Mr. Mayor's allegiance to the New York push for gun control. Perhaps he would like to tell everyone about it at the event."
  14.   The announcement says that the event has sponsors, but the city of Maryville is one of them.  This is where Bloomberg's money comes in, I reckon.
  15.   Some turn their nose up at a Nippon Browning, too.  I guess that's what we get for winning the war.
  16. Instead of rounding up hi-cap mags and evil black rifles, the MPD is throwing a party.    From the Maryville website:   Police Department Invites Public to National Night Out Events. The City of Maryville Police Department invites residents to attend a Community Appreciation Cookout on Tuesday, August 6 at the Theater in the Park across from the Blount County Courthouse.  The event will start at 6:00 p.m. and is free of charge.  Chief Tony Crisp stated, “This is a way for the  Police Department to show our appreciation and thanks to the community for their support throughout the year.  We believe that part of our success s is due to the relationships that have been formed with our residents over the years and these type of events help to educate the public about the variety of things we do on a daily basis. It helps local kids and residents to know that we are here to protect them and keep them safe.” The event combines family fun and educational information such as a S.W.A.T. display, Animal Control booth, Community Policing information, K-9 demonstrations, Detective stand and free National Child Identification Fingerprinting. There will be hot dogs, chips and drinks, free of charge and registry for prizes. Sponsors making this event possible are Target, Walmart, Kroger, Food City, and donations from Coca Cola, Blount County, Maryville, and Alocoa Parks and Recreation, Rapid Flow and Murlin’s Music.
  17. The gun control issue was fun for awhile....that is, until Blooming Idiot started costing some mayors who joined political points--even their jobs. But the group is on an upswing again.   http://www.buzzfeed.com/jacobfischler/dozens-of-mayors-are-quietly-dropping-out-of-bloombergs-gun
  18. But should he have gotten out of his car to help them?   :waiting:
  19. This is why liberals are so quick to say Obama wasn't involved and rail against the investigators. You're not over the target unless you're taking flak.   http://dailycaller.com/2013/07/22/embattled-irs-chief-counsel-met-with-obama-2-days-before-writing-new-targeting-criteria/
  20.   That's gov-think for sure.  They'll take a chance by issuing you a handgun permit, but if a rifle's involved, you're considered a potential lawbreaking maniac.
  21. Coming into Corrigan, TX, years ago I was doing about 45 mph in anticipation of the city limit line, where the speed limit drops sharply from 55 to 35.  I see the deputy sheriff coming in my direction.  Like your incident, he passes and does a Uey while lining me up for the kill.  He said, "I clocked you at 70 mph.  And when you saw me, you speeded up."  You simply can't argue with a rigged game.  Deputy Fife wrote me a ticket and said to call the hanging judge when I got back to Houston.  Your Honor said that if I sent him $50 for the ticket and stayed out of town for 30 days, he'd keep it off my record.  About a month later I read in the newspaper that Corrigan is the No. 3 most infamous speed trap in Texas.  They've got a bypass around the town now.  If you're ever forced to go through there, I suggest you take it....very slowly.
  22. This is a telling story on more than one point: 1. They actually planted something that they knew smells rotten. 2. It's near the place where laws are made. 3. People are breathlessly anticipating getting a good whiff when it blooms. Is that not government and the sheeple all in one symbolic nutshell?   http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/smelly-washington-giant-corpse-flower-blooms-next-door-to-capitol-with-odor-of-rotting-flesh/2013/07/21/763a8826-f251-11e2-8464-57e57af86290_story.html
  23. Do ya think everybody's got .22 ammo and they're just fibbing?
  24. The old saw, "Your rights end where my nose begins," surely applies here....except we can edit that to front bumper.
  25. Because you know Denny's name, you are probably familiar with the incident and the LA riots which precipitated it.  In the Houston incident, protestors (rioters) were challenging and attacking drivers--one grandmother in particular who was trying to get her granddaughter to a nearby hospital.   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/07/17/caught-on-tape-pro-trayvon-martin-protesters-attack-grandmother-and-refuse-to-let-family-take-child-to-hospital/   The key denominator in both of these incidents is a racial vendetta.  In LA, it was the acquittal of police officers who beat Rodney King.  In Houston, it was the acquittal of George Zimmerman for killing Trayvon Martin in self defense.   However, another element coming to the forefront in these recent riots and protests is the attack on our 2nd Amendment right, on which the Stand Your Ground law is based.  It's purely an attempt to control guns.
