1. We didn't mess with the gold rush.....too big to trade for everyday things.  Silver and ammo will do and any skills you have that would be in demand.
2. I'll join the chorus for the Taurus TCP.  I've owned two with serial numbers ending in B and C (still got one) and both stood me in good stead.  I understand the earlier A models had some problems but it appears Taurus worked those out.
3. A 17-year-old who owns a Mosin Nagant often asks me to take him to the range.  A few days ago he only had a few rounds of 7.62x54R so we stopped to shop at two stores.  One had none at all and the other had only the high priced hunting stuff--no FMJ.  Today I found some Russian-made Wolf steel cased at 13.99 per box of 20, so I picked him up two boxes.  This got me to wondering if Russia moving on Ukraine and Obama's threats of sanctions might cause the Russian ammo pipeline to dry up.  There's still the American made, but this kid's got a tight budget.
4. Ya just gotta know yer limits....   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR4qDg0QGik
5. Ordinarily I'd advise you to stand up to your wife and show her who's boss.  But since she has the revolver..... :nervous:
6. Invasive carp?  Sounds like invasive crap.
7. Picked this up on another thread.  FYI.   http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/03/25/pcp-polymer-cased-ammo-warning/
8.   The scary part is that one judge can restrict a freedom that Americans have relied upon for hundreds of years.  How can the constitutional process which requires an accountable system of checks and balances give so much judicial weight to a single appointed judge?
9. The liberals finally went there.....the nitwit 9th Circus Court judge ruled that the Second Amendment doesn't apply to ammunition and San Francisco can ban the sale of hollow point ammo.     Sure SF wants to stop crime, but you've got to give the thugs a sporting chance.   http://www.guns.com/2014/03/26/federal-court-upholds-san-frans-tough-ammo-ban-gun-laws/
10. You have the say so of the guy who wrote a few questionable histories of Earp and what he says the family said.  Isn't that proof enough to lay down a quarter million dollars?
11. Mysteries are enough to stoke a fire nowadays.  The serious collectors may stay away, but there will be plenty of wannabes to start a good bidding war.
12. Sorry to hear you're leaving God's country.......but if you have to get rid of stuff for the move, I'll be happy to take any guns, ammo and related stuff.   Just my way of helping out....
13. As someone who hasn't attained all the goals I've reached for, I can empathize with this young man who wants very much to join the military and honor our country and his family traditions. But putting on a purchased uniform and presenting yourself as one serving in sacrifice just does not cut it. IMHO, this is another instance in which feelings are supposed to trump formality. There are plenty of military support groups which civilians desiring to aid our armed forces may join. Those who wear the uniform without earning it demean it.   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/03/22/the-civilian-who-provoked-outrage-after-wearing-a-military-uniform-speaks-out-and-what-you-learn-might-change-your-opinion-of-him/
14. Good ol' Dub Taylor, one of the best character actors to ever bless the screen.  You might know him from hundreds of western flavored movies, including his roles as Cannonball in the B-movies, C.W. Moss' father in Bonnie and Clyde and the town preacher in the opening scenes of The Wild Bunch.  I got to spend some time back in the '70s with him and his son, Buck, who played Newly on Gunsmoke.  There's no finer pair of gentlemen you'll ever meet.  Dub's gone on to his reward now, and Buck is a highly respected western artist.
15. But if the photo is deceptive, wouldn't he lose his internet posting license?
16. and the ham, the pork roast and lots more pig than you could imagine. I've heard some hard to believe fishing stories, but this....   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/03/12/it-was-a-shock-you-have-to-see-hunters-monstrous-500-pound-prize-to-believe-it/
17. The Band has lost another cherished brother.  William Guarnere, of World War II's famous Band of Brothers, died Saturday at 90 years of age.   http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/03/09/bill-wild-bill-guarnere-band-brothers-fame-dies-at-0/
18. The Key West cam is good if you can't make it to your local zoo.   http://www.liveduvalstreet.com/
19. In addition to the millions of ammo rounds, the airline passenger molesters are buying 1400 pounds of dynamite. Perhaps for data mining....   http://www.prepperpodcast.com/tsa-orders-over-half-ton-of-high-powered-explosive/#axzz2vO0iidHp
20. I've got some Badman bullets in .358 that shoot low in my Rossi lever gun.  I had to stuff 'em in a .357 case to get good accuracy.  Like RED says, there's a lot of factors involved.
21.
22. Tanker, my nurse wife had the fundoplication, too, because of a hietal hernia.  Have you been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus?  You may need to be on Zegerid.
23. My know-it-all nurse wife asks:  Are you taking any thing to protect your tummy?  Any NSAID, over the long haul, can cause a GI bleed.  Take Nexium or Prilosec as a protection (unless you're on Plavix.)  If your doc has you on something else, of course stay on that.
