    Bersa .380 CC

My Bersa .380 cut its teeth on PMC. Avoid the Winchester pig-nosed fodder and the Sellier & Bellot FMJ. When you reassemble after cleaning, make sure the recoil spring goes back on the barrel with the slightly larger diameter end towards the muzzle (whichever way is more snug). Turning the spring so that its "tail" is in the 12 o'clock position over the muzzle may help prevent jams.
  2. Tim Tebow would be proud to stand for the anthem....if the team owners can just get passed that pesky Christian image thing.
  3. Yep, there's a lot of us retirees in the neighborhood that don't have to be anywhere at anytime. And there's a good number of lazy mechanics too. They're like electricity--they flow in the path of least resistance.
  4. It suddenly got pretty breezy here and the power went out over a chunk of southern Maryville around 6 p.m. It's pretty common that this area is vulnerable to outages whenever the weather gets a bit unruly. The lights didn't come back on for two hours. I'm wondering if the city is still living in the 1950's when it comes to the grid system. In my career as an aircraft mechanic, I noticed that planes can't just park on top of a cloud when they lose juice. Therefore, there's several options to get the electrical power back, most of it independent of how the pilots think it should be restored. (Two of the most dangerous things in the airline business is a mechanic with a pen and a pilot with a screwdriver.) Many of these glorified bus drivers are bigots--they love Germanic buttons labeled OTTO, but hate to push an Hispanic one labeled MANUEL. Okay, pilots often don't have the time to react to scary failures--even if they get a bright idea--so critical systems are automatic. If electrical buses go dark, the gee whiz computer will open and close switches to cross-connect generating power before the pilots have time to scream. So why when a little windstorm comes along does it take two hours to get the electric thingys back the way customers like them? Aren't there any OTTO buttons down at the power company?
  5. I'm dead last? That figures......the real Santa still hasn't brought me the little red wagon I asked for when I was six. Congrats to all the winners that are livin' right.
  6. It was just my turn to be the clueless latecomer. I think I'll stick to Funny Pics until I get a law license.
  7. I haven't seen this posted here, so it may be news to you. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/06/30/tn-businesses-that-disarm-concealed-carry-permit-holders-now-liable-for-their-safety/
  8. How about a few of these yes or no questions? Do you decide life's matters based upon what the majority of other people think? Would you permit your teenager to do something you believe to be harmful if "everyone is doing it?" All things considered, do you regard polling results as little more than pieces of cheese to dangle before mice so that they'll ring a certain bell? And most important: Do you believe that polls should be outlawed during an election cycle so that everyone might vote their own conscience without fear of wasting their ballot if they don't like the popular crook?
  9. This is the best reason I know of for the "keep the gun pointed downrange" rule. http://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/clermont-county/amelia/dispatch-person-shot-killed-by-accident-in-clemont-county-gun-store
  10. If World War II was part of the required curriculum in public schools, we'd probably see far less millennials whining for "safe space" when the conversation turns to freedom through sacrifice.
  11. Hah! What you didn't see was the Taurus Governor and Raging Judge strapped to my ankles.
  12. Maybe he was identifying as being a president that day.
  13. They're all down the road a piece.
  14. It's a tremendous loss after so many years together.  You and yours will be at the top of our prayer group list this morning.  Because you called for prayer, it's comforting to reason that she's in a far better place where there are no struggles.
  15. During the hot months an ice cream truck comes down our street three or four times a week on a special run for an autistic child.  Knowing the mission, it's sweet music to all the neighbors' ears.
  16. Her happy face on the bill won't appear until 2020.  I have my doubts that $20 will buy much then.

    Prayer sent and received.
  18. You've just exposed Jeep to bad publicity before 25,000 potential buyers.  Seems to me like they'd be very agreeable to giving you a little some-some to make things right.
  19. If God had meant us to have airshows, He wouldn't have given us gravity.   :lies:
  20. What, me worry?  The resurrection of Jesus Christ is truly great news to us all.  Happy Easter!
  21. My 9mm are somewhat harder to push into the resizing die because of the tapered case.  I add a bit of NuFinish car polish to the cleaning media which helps, but often I have to put a light lube on the cases to make it easier.  No big deal.
  22. Shiny brass isn't required for reloading, but clean brass protects the equipment.  I deprime after tumbling and scrape out primer pocket grunge during case inspection.  If I were reselling the brass, it would be worth my while to make them sparkle, but for now clean and serviceable brass is my main concern.
  23.   Sure we are.  They're fake, too.
