  1. I am currently cleaning up the garage and plan to get exstension cord and one of those small heater pads and putting it on top of that on the floor on a low temp and hope for the best
  2. With the weather being semi cold and this stuff needing to be at room temp or above to work best I am going to have to keep the parts in there for a few days to make sure it gets as much off as possible
  3. yes i do not know how well it will work but nothing like a test
  4. got the small items in rust remover to see how well it works
  5. i already have one, got it back before sandy hook, i got this one for a fun project wether i shoot or just hang it on the wall i will learn something new and have fun doing it!

  7. finally got the screw out! (thanks impact screwdriver!) and to be honest i think most of it will come off with a wire wheel! or i could soak some or all of it in Evapo-Rust or something

  9. i got some pb blaster and sprayed the top receiver screw a few times before bed lastnight and this morning tried to get it out but couldnt, i will probably take a wire wheel to it and get more of the rust off and i will also buy and try a impact srewdriver and if that does not work i will have to drill that screw out which i have never done before

  16. Hey everyone didn’t know where to post this, I just bought a stripped M39 receiver and want to put a M44 barrel on it but I am not sure if I need a tax stamp for a SBR or not can anyone clarify this?
  17. True I also just bought a stripped m39 receiver that I have plans for but for this one I am just going to work on it for fun
  18. agreed, i also posted this on another forum and someone said if the bore and whole receiver is good but the barrel is trash could just rebarrel it
  19. someone on another forum suggested getting the barrel and action sandblasted, only issue with that is i dont know of any company that would do that especially with how guns are portrayed nowadays
  20. just ordered a bore camera to look inside to see how it all looks, should be here tomorrow (thanks amazon prime!)
  21. yup there is a m44 for sale at a shop not to far from me for about 415

  24. Hey everyone so I bought one of the $119.99 mosins from classicfirearms and here is some pictures *WARNING* the following pictures are not for the faint of heart! You have been warned! also after wacking the bolt open with a rubber mallet I took it out and disassembled it and found that except for one part it’s in very good shape and should clean up nicely!
