  1.   Honestly, the Hiperfire 24C outsells the standard 24 by quite a bit: http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Hiperfire_Hipertouch_24C_Trigger_AR15_Competition_p/hf-hpt24c.htm If your'e wanting a high-end trigger, the Hiperfire 24C or 24G are awesome. The 24 isn't bad, but its worth the extra money for the C or G if you're shooting competitions.
  2. We've been carrying them or only a few weeks now and have sold a large number of them. We put them in a demo rifle and they feel great, especially for the money. The trigger pull is heavier than the higher-dollar Hiperfire triggers like the http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Hiperfire_AR15_Hipertouch_24_Trigger_p/hf-hpt24.htm, but the trigger feel is much better than any milspec or "milspec nickel boron" trigger out there. They're a great price-point trigger for those that don't necessarily need or want a 2-4lb pull.
  3. . We got some Zombie lowers coming in tomorrow it looks like too now based on packing slips.
  4. Just got in a batch of surprise Spike's Punisher lowers as well: http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Spike_s_Tactical_Lower_Multi_Forged_PUNISHER_Str_p/sp-stls015.htm
  5. LAR does a TON of contract machining for big companies such as Freedom Group (Bushmaster, DPMS, Remington), just to name a few. They make a huge number of lowers and uppers. Their stuff is good to go as they manufacturer it all in-house.
  6. Just an FYI: ALL of the New Frontier Armory lowers that we are shipping out from 3/1/2012 and later will have redesigned, upgraded takedown pins. The new redesign will keep them from pulling out as easy as with the Plum Crazy lowers and initial run of the New Frontier lowers and will be more rigid. They will also have a redesigned Fire Control Group that won't allow the safety to be engaged with the hammer forward. This will be on Serial #'s NLV2000+
  7. Thanks for the order! These are shipping in 5-10 business days currently. We've been freaking swamped with orders and phone calls for these lowers. Its insane! We're getting them out as fast as possible. You'll get tracking updates as the order ships.
  8. PCF has been "talking" about changing their name on the lowers for going on 3 years now. It hasn't been done yet, so I doubt it ever will. New Frontier Armory and PCF lowers are all made in the same mold, by the same injection molder whom has the patent on the lower. They also use the same FCG. The New Frontier lowers have an upgraded polymer mix, upgraded springs, better availability, and a better price point.
  9. Got a batch of the midlength plastic handguard models in today! Rock River Arms LAR-15 Fall Special Midlength Handguard A4
  10. Looks good! Thanks again for the order! These AR's are a sweet deal. We should have another batch incoming soon, which most likely will be our last one.
  11. You might also checkout the https://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Griffin_Armament_M4_SD_Tactical_Compensator_p/ga-m4-sdcompensator.htm Griffin Armament Compensator. I have one on my PLR-16 (Did demoing before we ever purchased any for retail) and it works great for quick followup shots. It hardly feels like a 10" barreled AR pistol anymore
  12. Well...how does she shoot?!?!?
  13. We had a whole pallet load of Spike's Tactical Uppers hit us today. We'll be 100% back in stock of EVERY upper except the standard M4LE uppers. ALL the other uppers we offer are in stock now. Also, a little birdy tells me Spike's pricing is going up 5% for dealers and on January 1, just FYI. We haven't announced it yet, but these will be our last shipments at this price most likely. Also, we'll have a couple of the Rock River Carbine Fall Special back in stock on ~December 30th.
  14. I agree Muellers fall in the ~3 range more realistically. They aren't mushy clicks like the VX-I's and have fully multicoated optics unlike the VX-I's only being multi-coated. The higher end Mueller TACII is definitely in the 3-4 range.
  15. The M&P also has a Front Sight Post versus a railed gas block. The Rock River also has an accuracy guarantee, where the Sport wouldn't.
  16. Thanks for the orders guys All the guys who have ordered in the last 2 days should have their orders going out right away. We just got hit by a big blizzard so hopefully that won't hamper the Fedex ride too much. We're about out of these RRA Fall Specials but have more on order as well. We've burned through most of our stock of these in a hurry! Rightfully so, they are hard to beat for the money for a nicely upgraded RRA!
  17. We use a bunch of Remington Subsonics at the shop
  18. Yes that's a pretty fair price for a transfer. We've used D&T Arms for several transfers for TN guys in the past!
  19. We do $25 transfers and IMO, that's a fair deal for both dealers and consumers alike. Unless a gun store has millions in inventory, they won't have exactly what the customer wants all the time. $25 to do (generally) 20 minutes of work max isn't a bad deal when margins are really slim to begin with. Making the whole process simple and easy for the consumer, IMO, keeps them coming back for more. We have had multiple customers buy guns through us, and do transfers, within the same month. Being "their" FFL goes a long way. Good customer service keeps customers coming back. If the business doesn't want your business, I would shop elsewhere. It's his business to run how he sees fit, but its your pocket book!
  20. Sure do IMO, the Rock River Lower Parts Kits are probably the best kit for the money for a standard kit. We normally recommend them for local guys as well as anyone who calls on the phone asking for recommendations. The quality of the product is on par or better than the other kits, IMO. We currently have them on sale at $62.95. We normally retail them at $65. We get called up whenever kits are missing product. We've had parts missing out of Bushmaster (lots), Spike's (little stuff generally, sometimes additional extra parts), and Daniel Defense. Daniel Defense kits missing product was a bit surprising for us based on price and perceived company "hierarchy". One of the Daniel Defense LPK's we sent to a customer was missing a hammer . All companies have been good about getting missing parts out to customers right away, but unfortunately at that point the customer has a stripped lower with 99% of a lower parts kit that is 100% not usable. For whatever reason, accuracy isn't incredibly good with LPK's? Problems don't arise on a frequent bases, but that's what we've seen. We've never had any missing parts that we know of with Rock River kits. The packaging on the Bushmaster kits are crappy as they are cheap little bags that get holes very easily from the springs inside. Spike's are sealed bags. DPMS are a nice clam-shell. Rock River has the best packaging IMO. They use high quality ziplock bags and then the little pieces are separated more in smaller ziplock bags. A bit more methodical than most LPK packaging approach which may help them ensure accuracy? We are also running a sale (while supplies last, no set date) on the Spike's Battle Trigger and Spike's Lower Parts Kits. We got in several large batches so we're sitting at a higher than avg level of inventory on them at this time. The Spike's Enhanced LPK is a really good deal if you're wanting an Ergo grip, ambi safety, KNS pins, and Battle Trigger. The cost of those 5 items alone is normally ~$130 alone.
  21. Ehh..I've seen and heard of a lot of problems from SKB's. They really don't seem to hold up as well at least for high-volume shooters. For a guy who shoots 300 rounds a year they may not ever have a problem.
  22. Sounds like they just authorized it the card at the time of practice (normal practice for ecommerce) and didn't actually charg the card. Some companies like Spike's charge upfront. There are some consumer protection laws in place that I think aren't very kosher with charging upfront, but in reality the only "recourse" you have as a consumer, AFAIK, is just to get refunded.
  23. I would say a used Citori trap will be above the grade of a Red Label in terms of longevity if you intend to put a lot of rounds downrange. I've shot a decent amount of trap, skeet, sporting, etc and I've seen a huge majority of Berettas, Brownings, Perazzi's, Kreighoffs, etc. I've seen way more 870's even than Ruger Red Labels in competitions. Could be just a local trend, but yeah. Oddly enough, I know a guy who bought an older used Citori in AWESOME shape with extra choke tubes at Cabelas of all places for $1100. The deals are out there for sure. Here was a deal on Trapshooters for $1300. http://www.trapshooters.com/cfpages/message.cfm?messageid=982685 Another for $1000: http://www.trapshooters.com/cfpages/message.cfm?messageid=986543
  24. For trap shooting I'd look at a used Citori with 30 or 32" barels. You can find the pre-XT ones in decent shape in that price range and they'll last thousands upon thousands of rounds. Will be a little heavier than a shorter field gun, but will be much better for any shotgun games and last forever.
  25. We sell about even numbers of the Mueller Reflex and the Vortex Sparc. On a home defense type setup I would probably lean towards a compact tube red dot over a reflex but that's just personal preference. We have about ~6 of these total in use within our shop and we really like them. We have them both on AR-15's, AR pistols, Buckmarks, etc. We sell quite a few on both and both hold up well to any recoil. The Primary Arms sights also seem like a good value from what I've seen, but I've never used one. The only downside is the warranty length of time on the PA items, but it sounds like they're generally well backed by the company.
