  1. Many of you guys may have heard this before... This is HILARIOUS... its from Bob and Tom: http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2006/telemarketer-prank-p1.php Brandon
  2. Hi all! I had signed up at an S&W forum, but I've been waiting on "approval" for several days. So I figured I'd ask you guys. Here are some pics (these are clickable thumbnails): Serial: 203XX Right barrel: "22 LONG RIFLE CTG" Left barrel: "Smith & Wesson" Any ideas or advice on how to date this gun and get a general idea of value would be great. Thanks! Brandon
  3. Ahhh... ok. Thanks guys. That helps a lot. I'll review the Castle Doctrine some and probably come back with more questions. Brandon
  4. Hi all! I've heard several rumors about this stuff. Ultimately, what are my rights if someone breaks into my apartment? Is it just flat out lethal force allowed, or are there catches? One such rumor was that if you do not kill the perp, he/she or their family can sue for harm. Anything like that I need to be aware of? Or should I just unload on whoever is in my house? Thanks much! Brandon
  5. Yeah, money is pretty tight right now... so the knowledge (the free part) is good! Thanks again, all. Brandon
  6. Let me enjoy it while I can! Thanks all! Brandon
  7. Wow... thanks for all of the replies, guys! I've been wanting to go to gun shows for years... I usually just miss them or have something going on the weekend of... now I have more of a reason to go. I've got a bit to study up on. I'm gonna go look at some of the suggested weapons. Thanks again! Brandon
  8. Hi all. I'm new, but made my introduction in the Introductions forum. Anyway, I am planning on getting my carry permit, mainly because I want to and have wanted to for several years now. I would like to learn more about it in general, though. Such as, what are some popular carrying guns? Do most people carry them in the waist band? Out? Would I have to buy all new pants for that? I'm generally a "few accessories, the better" kinda guy. I don't like bulky cell phones or large wallets (unless, of course, loaded with cash ), etc. I'm pretty much completely new to carrying and I'm just curious of some basics and trends. Thanks much! Brandon
  9. Hello all! My name is Brandon. I'm an MTSU student living in Murfreesboro who was referred by musicman. I primarily came here because I want to learn more about my rights and what laws I need to follow pertaining to my guns. I have TONS of interests. I am a reefer (salt water fish, not a particular illegal substance ), I work sometimes doing live sound/lights/guitar tech'ing for major Christian artists, I'm from East TN (that makes me a somewhat displaced Tennesseean I suppose), and I LOVE shooting in general. I'm also a huge guitar geek and have random gear from Bogner, Selmer, and others, although I can't play very well. Presently I work on campus in Adaptive Technologies (IE, I Braille stuff, type notes out, administer software licenses, administer our server, etc.) and with Disable Student Services. I'm also very happily married with no kids. I think thats enough for now. As far as guns, I have a 1920's S&W .22LR 6-shot, a 1950s Remington 870 Wingmaster 16 gauge, a Marlin .22lr semi-auto, and a Western Auto .22LR single shot. I'm SUPPOSED to be getting an original Colt .45 that my great, great grandfather bought in 1871 if I'm not mistaken, but my great uncle got it when my grandfather had a motorcycle accident and I don't think he'll give it up. Supposedly its supposed to go to each first grandson, but we'll see. I need to talk to him about it, needless to say. That would be an AMAZING heirloom. Anyway... thats enough about me... Brandon
