  1. The 'Boro show isn't all that great, at least not what it was in the beginning. Still the best one in Mid-TN, IMO. All of 'em have waaay too much junk. I plan on being there midday Sat. Want to fondle a Walther P99, to see how it fits my paw. Anyway, it's something to do & see some stuff.
  2. This is the setup I used to work Glock 40 brass I had collected here & there. Works fine on my 40 S&W. Haven't tried it on any other calibers.
  3. If I was starting from scratch, I'd go with the tumbler & stainless media. Just heard too many good things about this setup. Bad news is, I just bought a new Frankfort arsenal vibrating cleaner a little over a year ago. Can't justify changing. Wish I had learned of this sooner. Oh, well.........
  4. Our Glock 22 duty guns have TruGlo nite sights, haven't heard of any problems with any of 'em. I have Trijicon on my XDM. Wouldn't turn around for the difference. Everybody has a horror story on any brand.
  5. Sixty rounds later & still posting....I'd say you're good to go.
  6. You can sell an automobile to another private individual with no background check. An automobile is more dangerous than a gun & causes more fatalities, injuries, etc. So why would you need to do so with a gun? We have more laws now than you can print. Just another step in chipping away at gun rights. BS
  7. Same here. My Cowboys have choked the last several years. I'll still be watching barring a disaster. Love football, win or lose. I'll have to go with the Giants, due to being in the NFC East. Other than that, doesn't really matter who wins.
  8. Good post. Lot of truth in that. I don't like the idea of buying Chinese goods or anyone else overseas, especially folks that would like to see us all 6 ft. under. Problem is, it's hard to find stuff made in the USA. It can be done, but it isn't easy, convenient, or cheap. I'll stick with Walmart, because mainly I can't afford the high end shops, or the Ma & Pa shops. To each his/her own.
  9. The Armory, is a gun store located on So. Cumberland ( 231 So.) across from Walmart. I can find no listing for a show there. It's not mentioned on their website either. Actually, there's little room in that location for a show. Did find a listing for a show in Lebanon,Mo. Where did you hear or see this?
  10. Was there around 10AM, show was way down in size. Lots of non-gun stuff. Not really worth the effort. Did accomplish what I went for, which was to fondle a Walther PPQ. Was not impressed with the grip on this gun. It has a "tactical" grip, which left it rather fat/rounded in shape. Just didn't fit me well. As it turned out, the dealer had a XDM like mine next to the PPQ. Fondled both for comparison. Like the XDm better, for me. In that sense, it was worth the trip. Dealer table wise, it was probably about the size of a Goodman show. Probably won't be making that trek again. Same thing happened at Franklin.
  11. Planning on being there Sat. AM. As Sigrug17 said, the first show was great, but has gone downhill a bit since. Still better than Goodmans show by far. Not hard to do. Want to fondle a Walther PPQ. About to develop a real like for that gun. Probably get one if I can sell my XDm 40 first. Can't afford both. Also, gotta keep peace in the household.
  12. Airborne, you did exactly as you should. The "gut" is one of the smartest parts of the body. You assessed the threat, reacted as needed for the situation. Turned out well. About as good as it gets. BTW, thanks for your service to your country from an ole Army Grunt.

    Walthers

The original P99 is no longer offered. There is now the P99AS (anti stress ), and the P99QA ( quick action ), as well as the PPQ.

    Walthers

I had a P99 several yrs ago. Traded for a Glock 22 so I could put a LaserMax in it. None available for the P99 at the time. The P99 is a great gun. Loved it, should have stayed with it. Seriously considering going back to one.
  15. David, I'm a Mod on another board, CoachT.com. They use IPB as well. Works fine there. Been in use for quite some time.
  16. As DaddyO says, "PATHETIC", don't waste your time, gas, money. Wait for a better show.
  17. Guess we're in the same boat. Got a picture of my Grandboys, other than that, nutin.
  18. Dave, you may have already gone this route, but check the Traders Post & classifieds of that manner. You can find some good deals there sometimes. As for the ramp, I added a ramp to mine, and bolted it onto the trailer so it's removable. Don't know if you could modify or want to. Just a thought. Good luck....
  19. Greg, two fine looking young lads you got there. Looks like they've got a fine Dad as well. Thanks for introducing them to the gun world.
  20. Hey, it don't have to be fancy, pretty, or expensive. If it works it works.
  21. Derek, here's a link to a thread some time back with several bench photos. Maybe you can get some ideas from there. Go to the top right of a page & use the SEARCH bar, type in reloading bench photos. There are several threads on this. That's where I came up with the link. Good luck, http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/ammunition-reloading/17748-reloading-bench-photos.html Edited to add, I made mine, but might be a bit too large for your space. As another poster said, don't put your reloading supplies outside, even in a storage building. Powder, primers, reloading equipment need to be away from moisture & temp. extremes. Press itself might be ok if sprayed down with WD40 or something. Mine is a bit heavy to carry around.
  22. Well, FWIW, to the good folks that wasted a trip to see a show, RK has pulled this stunt twice before that I personally know of. Once in Smyrna & once in Gallatin. I read the ads, etc, went to each show, no one there, except a few others like myself....quite unhappy I might add. I e-mailed RK after the Smyrna debacle, got a response, but not much of an explanation. These people really don't give a flip about the customer.
  23. Where did you see this show advertised? I haven't seen it on the web. Was it in the paper? Next scheduled show in Hendersonville is the last of Jan. 2012.
  24. It basically hit the right side of his face & head. Very fortunate indeed. Again, thanks so much to everyone for all the well wishes & kind words.
  25. Well, you're absolutely right. I'm a Mod on CoachT.com, a high school sports forum. Folks just don't read the rules, or really don't care. Mods can't be everywhere all the time. Click on Report & help keep this board clean. Not as easy as it looks. You guys do a good job on this board. Thanks!
