  1. Good question. The ad's new, I guess they use automatic like some say clips LOL. It's definitely not auto. Wish it was, but couldn't afford it if I found one.
  2. Added a new toy today. Been thinking on this for a while, finally got up the courage to do it. Came from Sportsman's Warehouse in the 'boro. Got some extra mags ( came with 1 Magpul ), got some ammo also. Received the military discount. All in all, not a bad deal. Had it in stock at the store. S&W. M&P 15 Sport II 16" bbl, Magpul open sights, Picantinny rsil.
  3. Combat photographer.
  4. I've still got shrapnel in my legs from those pepper shakers.
  5. My M16/M203, iron sights, served me well in 'Nam. Not likely to run into anything worse that that.
  6. That he was. Never seen him move that fast.
  7. In my neck of the woods, it's hotter than Hades with all the fires lit.
  8. Suppose TVA is looking over their shoulder now at the Hartsville nuclear plant they started back in the mid 70s. Would have been the world's largest at that time. One cooling tower still standing. Supposedly, they decided they didn't need it. Great planning by someone.
  9. Yessir! Folks, I've said it before, this is not about "gun" control, it's about people control. When they take our guns they have control of us. Remember Nazi Germany? Confiscated all guns, we know how that went.
  10. Guy after my old heart, LOL.
  11. Have 3 here in Mid TN.
  12. It appears the topic has left the building.
  13. Garufa, I can't begin to explain officers waiting outside while children are being killed. Also, can't understand the Supreme Court decision. There's no shortage of explanations, but most make no sense, at least to me. Wonder how well they sleep at nite.
  14. Certainly. That's my duty. I took it seriously. I served in combat in 'Nam. Nothing new.
  15. When I was with the Sheriff's Dept. we did active shooter training each year, sometimes within our Dept, sometimes with other depts. We trained & were told, the first one or more on the scene to enter immediately & neutralize the threat. This came about after Columbine, where officers waited outside for SWAT to arrive. That's been the standard since. It hasn't always been followed. So, if the BP officer was first, as reported, it was his job, regardless of jurisdiction.
  16. The Feds never let a gun tragedy go to waste.
  17. Update. Now reporting 18 children & 1 teacher dead. Going to be a long investigation.
  18. And , of course, the first response is , we need more gun laws.
  19. I have one I bought at Walmart years ago for $20. Still going. They no longer carry it.
  20. I have the H001 45/70. Never liked the tacticool look from day one. Just doesn't have the Henry look or appeal to me. Just my .02.
  21. I wouldn't go near Antioch for any reason.
  22. I could not agree more. One of the worst tragedies in our history. Everybody should read this story.
  23. Shield looks like it's taken a few hits.
  24. Smart decision I'd say.
  25. NBC news reports she shot herself in the head, causing her death. Apparently, police accuracy was up to snuff.
