1.   Have no idea where Reno might be, but would be a great place to start looking for a Squatch. On the other hand, even Squatches are picky who they hang with
2.   The 'boro is $10, same as H'ville. Free parking @ both tho. Parking will likely be scarce at both.
3. I had considered going, just out of curiosity. Felt like crap today, rain, crowds, etc. Not going. Another show scheduled for Hendersonville next weekend. I'll wait 'til then.....
4. Have to put myself in the "handloader" category. Not in a hurry. My ex said I was a perfectionist. I disagree. Just need it to be right & reliable. Never had a misfire over the 40+ yrs of handloading. ( knocking on wood here, LOL )
5.   Not too surprised at that, Greg. Their surplus stuff has always been pricey, as well.
6. Been noticing the signs for a while. Only live 2.4 mi from there. Have to check 'em out.
7. Won't be going. The last few times I went, you could put the whole show on an index card. Not worth the trip or admission.
8. Get the folks with mental & social issues off the street. They're the ones causing the problem usually. How you're going to accomplish that, I have no idea. Doing away with "gun free zones" isn't a bad idea either.
9. I have a Taurus PT709 Slim. Good gun, carry it in a pocket holster. Just like the PPS better......but, the only reason I didn't trade, and I had planned to, was the amount of $$$, I'd have to pony up to trade. Couldn't justify the difference. If I was buying staight up, it would be the PPS. Fondled the Shield, just preferred the PPS. To each his own. Probably couldn't go wrong with either.
10. Been there. Not worth the effort. Too small, crowded space, overpriced admission.
11. The 5.56 only looks small 'til you're hit with it.
12.   In a gun that size, the PPS will be hard to beat. JMHO
13. Walmart in Lebanon, a few days ago, had about 6 or so 40 S&W mega paks. In there yesterday, all gone, plus, the other shelves of ammo were nearly empty. It's definitely on again.
14. I got there about the same time. Only a couple of folks ahead of me in line. Bought a box of ammo for the GFs revolver. Spoke to David for a minute about his "crud". Glad to see he's better. Mine's better too, but still hanging on. Good show, and I'll agree with the previous poster about the attendance. Good to see, for whatever reason. As usual, the antis' have taken the Conn. shooting & running with it. Wondering how many more of these we can weather before it hits the fan. Certainly, a tradegy beyond belief. Disarming the law abiding gun owners, would be the same.
15. Like to go if I'm able. Had the crud for over 2 wks. Hate to miss this one.
16.
This. However, keep a light on your nightstand pistol! ONLY use it when you're about to take a shot. It IS important to identify your target before firing. I would NOT use it as a search light. If you ARE searching, I hope you have a reason WORTH risking your LIFE(i.e. children and other family members). You otherwise would be best off hunkering down and calling 911. You let them come to you and use that light to identify the target and take the appropriate actions. MOST people take off their weapon lights when they carry the pistol. There are hardly any manufacturers out there that make holsters that accommodate weapon lights and weapon lights also make the pistol very heavy. This is where night sights come in. When you are away from the house, without adequate lighting, with minimum reaction time - night sights will help you deliver accurate shots in low light. Even if I had a weapon light on my pistol at all times, I would still use night sights. They simply don't fail, they don't use batteries, and they're very difficult to damage. I would FIRST get good quality night sights for my gun if it is a carry weapon. Then I would buy a decent weapon light that is easy to mount and take off. This is much better than a handheld light for many reasons. You do NOT want to have your hands full opening and closing doors. Most importantly you want as much control of the weapon as possible (recoil and prevent it from being taken away). Best of luck.
+1 Good post. Agree!
17. I have a Walther PPQ with Trijicon nite sights + a TLR-1 that I clamp on for bedside, etc., use. I remove it for other use. If you must choose between the two, I'd go with nite sights. JMHO
18. I plan on being there as well. Hope this is as good as they have had in the past. Later shows were down in size. Still enjoy browsing around & fondling new stuff.
19. Don't have the 9, but do have the 40. Awesome gun & trigger. Bought mine from Speciality Arms, Lavergne. Paid $539 + tax & BG check. Shop around, $599 is too much. As stated earlier, Magnum Research has 'em for around $40. I bought 2 from them, no problems. Make "sure" you get the correct part #. It can be confusing. Also, might want to check out the Walther forum. There is a separate thread for the PPQ. Lots of great info there for starters. There are "stickys" for most FAQ. Go ahead & get it, you'll love it. Haven't heard anyone say otherwise. Edit to add: Part # for 9mm is MAGFA915 15rd. Part # for 40S&W is MAGFA4010 10rd. If ordering from Midway, click on Magnum Research, not Walther. Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle Fast Action. About $32 S/H Go to: 1. Gunsmithing & Gun Parts 2.Magazines by gun make & model 3.Magnum Research 4.Find tour part# Hope this helps someone
20. A bit late posting, but I went Sun. am. Picked up a few things I'd been hankering for. Nothing major. All in all, I agree with most, it was a decent show. Hope they can continue at at least that level.
21. Where are all these figures coming from? Adm is normally $10, tables are $66, $56 prepaid. Free parking. $1 off w/ coupon. Website says 850 tables. That's how many are available, not likely that many in use, hope so, don't bet the farm. Got an itch for a M&P Shield if I can find one. Rather scare right now in some places & pricey as well.
22. According to their ads & website, RK Shows will have a show in Hendersonville this weekend, Aug. 25 & 26th. @ 90 Volunteer Dr. Their first shows were good, later shows, a bust. Been quite a while since they had one at this location. Guess I'll give it a look.
23. Went this AM. Picked up a set of roll pin punches. Fondled a S&W shield. Kinda like the way if fits my paw. May sell my Taurus Pt709 Slim & get one.
