  1. Hitlery's thinking...."I'm entitled to it, it's my turn!!"
  2. I'll agree with 6.8, the Feds have lied, covered up, screwed up so many incidents, their credibility is nil. Of course, whatever evidence to the contrary, is now long since buried alongside Hoffa.
  3.   Yeah, that too!
  4.   Amen, brother! Remember the old saying, "Give 'em an inch, they'll take a mile".
  5. I agree, it's not a good idea, for many reasons. 1st. we don't know who these "rebels" are ( see how the Egypt thing turned out. 2nd, as another poster said, this area has never been stable & never will. 3rd. we can't afford it. 4th, Wag The Dog may be the case, BHO could use a good diversion right about now.
  6. I'd be in for patches or pins/both. Don't do the match thing, but would be nice for an identifier at gun shows or where ever.
  7. Probably be a good idea to check with David before using TGO logos.
  8.  I'm not hurting. Anything above 20 for 9mm or 25 for 40's, I'll pass, and do often. LOL
  9. Gotta love the idea of rioting & burning your "own" town. Genius!! But they do. LOL
  10. I would agree with that.
  11.    Bro, I know the situation from which you came. Did the same back in Mar. Wish you the best  with the new job, whatever it turns out to be.  Although it didn't affect me personally, thanks for the heads up you gave out on the ammo.  From an ole Ret. Army Vet
  12. If it's anything like the one I had years ago, it's one heck of a gun. Wish I still had that jewel.
  13. In 2013, thus far, I've bought one box of 40s at a gun show, 3 boxes at Walmart, and 2 boxes at Ft. Campbell, to replace what I have allowed myself to shoot up.These were at reasonable prices. I flat refuse to buy at double or triple price from anyone. That includes reloading components. Obviously, I haven't shot a lot of ammo lately. I have what I consider as a fair amount on hand ( not in the thousands ). Personally, I can't see where scalpers, or whatever you want to call 'em, do us a service. We were getting along just fine before they started their practice. If someone wants to pay $2 a round for ammo, I guess that's up to them. As they say, there's one born every minute. Getting gouged just never appealed to me. JMHO
  14. Used to do quite a bit of bow fishing back in the '60s. Had an old recurve bow, and was quite good with it, After I got my legs shot up in 'Nam, had a hard time stringing the thing up. Swapped for a compound bow. Couldn't do very well with it. Always fished from the banks around sloughs, etc. Lot of fun too. My biggest was a carp of 15lbs.
  15. Yes. Sam will be there.
  16. At least the name fits.   I'll pass.
  17. Rest assured, the Mayor knows full well it kills events. That's the whole purpose. Once all is gone, he can turn it over to his handpicked developers for other use. This is taking much longer than he would like. As other posters have said, Goodmans show is nowhere near what it was back in the day. Can't blame all of that on Metro tho. Been going downhill before Dean.
  18. Usually a bit larger. Hard to say in these days.
  19. Should be a good show, at least by todays standards. Hope I can make it. Usually one of, if not the best shows in the area.
  20. Well, let's see. Drive 45 mi. to fairgrounds ( in rain ), pay $5 to park, walk from parking lot to adm booth ( in rain ), stand in line (in rain ), pay $10 adm., walk to bldg.( in rain), check out obscene prices. Return route ( in rain ), not happening.
  21. Powder Valley had some 40s ( bullets ) in stock just now. 150 & 165 gr, Ordered 500 myself. Left some for someone else.
  22. All this kinda reminds me of Oklahoma back in the day. Does the word sooners come to mind?
  23. Not sure how much of that story I want to take to the checkout counter, but 1.6 billion rounds is still just that. Much more than they need at this time. Also, like the last time we went thru this senario, the mfgs. are not likely to add new production lines/employees for what they may perceive as short term. As long as a select few are camping out at the retail counter to grab & hoard the 2 or 3 boxes available that day, we'll be sitting right where we are for a while. JMHO
  24. I'll agree it's annoying to say the least, but it's the nature of the times. If one of us makes it in under the wire, we're one more than we had. Just have to live with the way it is & keep both eyes , ears, & keyboard open. It is a pain in the butt. Fault lies in D.C.
