  1.    I do the same. I reload Hornady XTP in my 9 & 40. Not really a big difference in price, plus, I've got a good carry load if need be.
  2. I've read about it, but have had no issues. I use SS tumbling & Lee carbide dies, on 9mm & 40 S&W. No problems. Also loaded .308 Win. w/Lee dies, no issues.    Edited to add: .308 was neck sizing w/ graphite lube.
  3. I can remember the "real" doctors. Where they went, I have no idea, but I can assure you, none of them are hiding out at the VA.
  4. Here's what I'm loading in my Walther PPQ 40. Hornady 155gr XTP, CCI 500 primer,  Hogdon HS-6  7.4 grs. That's on the low side of Hornadys chart. Just a bit more than it takes to cycle the gun reliabily. Different gun may be different result. Start low & work up.
  5. Would be nice, but......not likely to happen, especially for civilians or retired military. I see NO logical excuse for not allowing combat trained troops to carry a weapon. Best qualified on base. JMHO
  6.    Compelling roles in film doesn't change her character one bit. A traitor is still a traitor. The photo of her sitting astradle an antiarcraft gun in No. Vietnam, smiling, says it all.
  7. I'm no legal guru, but I can't see this holding up in court. JMHO
  8. Agreed, the facilities weren't top notch, or even close, but having said all that, compared to Goodmans' @ Nash. Fairgrnds., it was the best show around, even when in Hendersonville. No $5 parking. Even with all the flea mkt. items & home improvement stuff, there was a still a good amount of gun related items. And, yes, I b'thed" about it as nuch as anyone else, but what we have had the past several months, is 0. We'll see how it goes this time around. Right now, for me, I can barely walk, so wouldn't make it anyway.
  9. Great news for a change. Also was surprised he actually signed it rather than let it sit here. Thank you Gov. Haslam.

This show has been a bust forever, as anyone who has been know. Funny this was, their ad in the paper  said, gun supersale, wholesale ammo. So, after an ad that was a total lie, what else could you expect from the show itself?
  11. Just another black eye for the VA & Obama, who appointed him to fix another mess. You're either in Special Forces or you're not. He isn't! That's a lie in most dictionaries.
  12. Believe it or not, I used to use neatsfoot oil for reloading lube, back in the day. It worked.

Try the Walther forum. It has a wealth of info on most any issue you may encounter.
  14.  Wondering how Obamy passed any legislation.
  15. I'm at 71, never thought I'd make it past 30. Everything else is icing on the cake.
  16.    Because it's there........... :)
  17.    Same here. When I applied for my military plate, I had to show my DD214. Made a copy, paid, and away I went.  I would think the NRA would not want folks wearing the plate unless they were a member. Whose idea it was, I have no idea.
  18.    From what I've read, seen, and heard, illegals wouldn't have time to finish a taco brfore getting in.
  19. Dolomite is right. You probably won't notice any decline in your hearing, except in extreme cases, but it will accumulate over the years. Personally, I used to never use hearing protection when target shooting, so, that combined with bombs, firefights, grenades in "Nam, etc., I now wear two hearing aids. Of course, age adds to the mix. Use protection when you can, when you're young. I got too late of a start.
