  1. I got the same packet, guess all did. I'll likely re-up for the 3 yr. deal, about all my budget will stand right now.
  2.    Dead on. I posted a long time ago, if you want to see what free government health care is like, visit the VA hospital. You had to know this was a temporary come on price, just like satelite, cable, phone, etc. Initially cheap, until the real price kicks in. As you said, welcome to reality.
  3.  MidSouth is located In Clarksville, and sales tax is added on. Off the shelf will be the same tho. Always figure the bottom line, regardless. That's where the money lies.
  4.    I've always had great service & prices at Powder Valley, as well. They are sometimes behind in orders, but they tell you up front what they're shipping & when. You can decide from there.
  5. I had never had an issue with Midways prices or delivery, but their shipping charges were/are over the top, they are a last resort if I have to go internet to buy. To be fair, they are not alone in making a living off shipping charges.  MidSouth usually has them all beat. JMHO
  6. I've used it in 9 & 40. 5.5 grs. in 9 w/ Horn. XTP 124 grs. 7.8 grs. in 40 w/ Horn. XTP 155 grs.   Works fine for me. No chrono info available tho.
  7. I've owned 3 of them. One .357 & 2  .44s' ( first one was stolen ). They don't take a back seat to any. IMHO. If I was going the revolver route, that's what I'd do.
  8.    Yep, just like Dean wanted to do. He never pulled it off, Barry?, who knows.
  9. Tin foil or not, the Gov. is well known for not destroying records that were supposed to be so. I trust these fine folks about as far as I can throw my F-150.
  10. I went to a show in Hendersonville some time back. Had my gun in my R. front pocket. Honestly forgot about it til inside. Had to walk about 1/4 mi in lot. Wasn't about to make that trip again. No harm, no foul.......
  11.    Agreed, they shouldn't have to, but we all know how far left Nashville is. No surprise they pounce upon a perceived opportunity. Not only the gun issue, but also they have been wanting to bulldoze the fairgrounds for their developer froends for quite some time. 2 birds with one rock, with some luck. Very thankful I don't live in Davidson Co.
  12. On a side note, I had planned on going to get some rifle powder, + just curious as to how the RK show would be. Stopped @ Reloaders Bench in Mt. Juliet & found what I needed. Saved my self the parking fee + admission. Not a bad day.
  13. John & Joe want to make a deal. They take their gun(s) out to their vehicle, sit there & close the deal. Who's to know?
  14.    The TWRA has for years denied any cougars ( whatever name you choose ), in TN, for some reason. Not like they were covering a UFO landing. It's been know for years that they are migrating East.
  15. Dawn, like any detergent is mainly to keep dirt in suspension. If it doesn't work for you, then don't use it. Works for me. To each, his own.
  16. I use 1/4 teaspoon in mine. I have the Thumlers Mod. B 15 lb. drum. Also, 2 tbls. Dawn dishwashing detergent. Varies with size of drum in your unit. Better to error on the size of less.
  17.    Glad to help. Enjoy your new 783. Mine is very accurate right out of the box. Ugly as a mud fence, but it shoots well. BTW, one issue I had with mine (.308 Win ), was the magazine. After the first one or two shots, the bolt would not strip the next round from the mag. Tried a different mag ( called Rem. & they sent me a new one @ no Chg. ) Did the same thing. Ended up sending it to their repair center in Mayfield,Ky. Got it fixed @ no chg. for repair or shipping ( both ways ). Hopefully, they have this corrected by now. The mag was the problem.   Good luck with deer hunting. Larry
  18. @ $3.50 /lb. that would have been a bargain. @ $6.50/lb. X 5lbs ( what I use in mine ) is $32.50 for 5 lbs., is around the norm. Most are around $40 +.  I'm not likely to need any more, but I bookmarked it, just in case, LOL. Thanks for the tip, Dolomite.
  19. There is a special mount for the 783. Think I ordered mine from somewhere, can't recall. It works fine. Academy may have it, if not check Midway. They have some 783 accessories.
  20.    $3.50 lb. is mighty cheap for stainless media. Bear in mind, not all stainless pins are the same. Some are alloyed & will rust. Usually get what you pay for.  As you said, there are plenty of ways to do this. Some use a small cement mixer. Limited only to the  imagination & ingenuity of the user.  I bought the Thumlers Tumbler from stainlesssteelmedia, got the Model B, which is sturdier & holds 15 lbs. Works as advertised. I de-cap before tumbling, gets the pocket & flash hole clean also.  JMHO   YMMV
  21.    Guess you could say, educators are slow learners.
  22. Had to have been a blonde, right?
