  1.    Good point. The trip will be part of the fun for us. I've never been to Tulsa, been to OK City & other places there, so something new for me.  Just hope the weather doesn't screw it up. 1st of Apr. is taking a peek at storm season in that neck of the woods. And of course, get to check out all the restrooms along the way, LOL
  2.  Out of curiosity, does anyone know the price of admission?
  3. On news this AM, subjects have been caught.
  4.    Definitely try to do that.
  5.  That's true, as per court ordered payment. Otherwise, different animal.
  6.    Sorry for omitting that little item, LOL. Going first weekend in Apr. Leaving Fri. am 4/1, returning Mon. Apr. 4th.  Show is 4/2 & 4/3. Not going looking for anything in particular. Just for amusement. Won't have any funds after trip expenses anyway, LOL.
  7. Something I have always wanted to do, is go to the big gun show in Tulsa,OK. Just to see the "creature" as the old mountain men used to say.  Finally have definite plans to do so, hotel reserv. made, my GF is going too, her sister lives there, so she can spend some seldom gotten time with her. Should be a fun trip, can't wait.  DLM, if you're around, any advice is appreciated.
  8.  People are held in jail all the time for Failure to Pay (FTP). They stay until they or someone pays what they owe. I've booked many of them over the years @ the local lockup.
  9.    Same here. But, whatever works for you, go for it. Thing with me is, wherever I go the gun goes, without removing it from somewhere, or possibly getting in a hurry & forgetting the thing. Happens to us old folks ya know.
  10. My ex GF bought a set of Michelins for her Avalon. As you said, friendly, professional, reasonable, and fast service. Far as I know, no issues.  I have a good friend in Hartsville I get all my tire service from, but Discount would be my choice otherwise. If you are ever in HArtsville & need something, drop by Hartsville Alignment, tell I sent you. ( may charge more tho, LOL )
  11.  xd, that's above my pay grade, LOL.  I'll defer to an expert on the matter.    Have to say, you've been a busy man tho.
  12.    Wilson makes good stuff for sure. Whether it's better than Forster, I can't say. Haven't tried side by side. Certainly wouldn't be afraid of anything they make. Bottom line for me, if it works, it works.
  13. True R-Bert. One of the many joys of the Forster Co-Ax press is that you can change dies in a couple of seconds once you have them initially adjusted. Instead of screwing it in or out with the standard press, and hoping you get it the same each time, the Forster simply slides in/out. Just wish they made pistol dies as well. Been meaning to ask them about that. Know you'll enjoy your new press.
  14.    I don't shoot competition, but have the Forster set with the Ultra Micrometer seater die. These aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Using these for .308 also. You'll have to get up way before daylight to beat Forster. If you can bite the bullet ( pun in there somewhere, LOL ), on cost, go for it. I also have the Forster Co-Ax press, which is awesome. You can find them now under $300. Naturally, the price has gone down since I bought mine. JMHO
  15.  I was on FB for about 2 months for a specific purpose, to locate a long lost cousin, which I did. Then I got off. FB is ridiculous, with all the crap on there, serial posters, etc. Never attempted to buy or sell anything. I'd rather go to the gun show to sell where everyone is honest, dressed neat, smells good, pays top dollar, & takes you to dinner  afterward. ( Kidding ).
  16. Hadn't heard of the trigger housing failures on the Walther forum or elsewhere. Have had zero issues with mine. The HK & PPQ are similar in many ways, I'll stick with the PPQ. To each his own, can't go very far wrong either way.
  17.    You are not alone neighbor. LOL  Guess we'll just have to work on that.
  18.    Different class/instructor, different opinions. We were instructed to eliminate the shooter. Period. If you're alone, you go in alone, if you have your team, etc. use what you have. People are being killed while you do otherwise.
  19.    OS, that's kinda like fixing something, then breaking it again before it leaves the shop.
  20.    You're absolutely right. Ole Jack would smile at that chart & say "I told ya so".
  21. Seating to the lands is fine "if" you're firing single shot, other wise it still has to fit in the magazine. FWIW    I went thru that same scenairio with my Rem. 783 in .308. Ended up seating the bullet to the same a factory OAL, to fit in the mag. Probably could have stretched it to the max, but for hunting, didn't seem worth the effort. Match shooting, different animal altogether.  Just a thought. Depends on your needs. Good luck.
  22.  Tell the guys at the store what you're wanting to do & I'm sure they'll walk you thru the process.
  23. Walther PPQ in 40. Love it, wouldn't trade for anything. Does all I need to do, recoil is very manageable, as is follow ups.
