  1. Got that right! Wouldn't take much of that to shut me down. A dog will run you ragged, but it's fun. Never been that far up in East Tn., We did pay Hampton one yr. in the HS football playoffs. I was sick & didn't get to make the trip. Love the Smokies & Cades Cove, my fav place on earth.
  2. Know what you mean. I love squirrel hunting, with or without dogs. Used to have a good dog yrs ago. My problem is having a good place to hunt anymore. All my old hot spots have been sold off into tracts, built on, posted, etc. Too bad we live so far apart, we could have some fun. Elizabethton is , of course, Jason Wittens home town. I'm a big fan of his & the Cowboys. Good luck next season............
  3. Anything you say can always be used against you, if they so desire. The loyal opposition continually twists words, phrases, to fit their agenda. Point was/is, you have the right to do many things that it's not always a good idea to do, or a better time, etc. Personally, I do not believe the walk outs would have occurred without a nudge form the media. That's my opinion & I'm sticking to it.
  4. Mac, I think we can all agree the "right" to protest is Constitutional. However, just because you have the right to do something, does not necessarily mean you are required to do it or is it a good idea. If you look back to the aftermath of the Fla. shootings, the media were doing the usual interviews with survivors & witnesses, how many they actually interviewed & the ones they chose to broadcast may not be the same. The media is left/anti gun biased as we know. Seems the media may have manipulated the situation, and it took a life of it's own. This may sound a bit like a black helicopter overhead, but how many kids walked out prior to the interviews? JMHO, food for thought.......
  5. NO doubt. Last place to call in an active shooter situation, is the news. 15 mins of fame. Dumber than a sack of hammers!
  6. Good to see the SRO did his job, rather than hanging out on the outside, waiting for the cavalry to arrive.
  7. If it's posted, and you obviously know it is, you're pushing your luck. They could ask you to leave, or you could be arrested, depending on the place. If you are required to be there, you might make other arrangements with management, or attend unarmed. JMHO
  8. There's already an identical thread on this bill. Typical Lib idiocy from Ill.
  9. Yet another reason to stay the heck out of Fla. I have zero use for a bump stock. Sold my AR, have no plans for another. They don't fit my Walther PPQ or PPS. Still, it's yet another little piece of the 2ND we don't need to lose. Like the old saying, " how did the calf eat the grindstone?, one bite at a time " The Libs continually wait for just such an opportunity. They never let a disaster go to waste.
  10. Nope, duct tape is not legal. True, not exactly where I was going with that, but.......
  11. Not surprising, really. Every time we have a shooting, these people/businesses, come out of the woodwork trying to out-anti the other one. You just cannot fix stupid.... ( legally ).
  12. Yes, for chips only.........
  13. Rarely ever go there. Goodbye "K"
  14. The thing I see in these kid protests, is that they are creating the next generation of serial protesters. A lot of these kids don't have a clue, a lot of them don't care, get out of class get on TV, get some attention, etc, etc........
  15. You're absolutely right! They were called asylums in my neck of the woods, and they did a brisk business. Now jails serve the same purpose, tho fail miserably. ( I worked there for 3 yrs. ) Folks want a solution, but they want someone else to do it. Strange how that hasn't worked.
  16. Welcome to TN, sorry about the weather, just a fact of life here. Spring's on the way, fishing season, turkeys.
  17. Got my hat on order, kinda slipped my feeble mind, LOL. Only thing worse than getting old, is not getting old ( so they say ). Anxious to see what the SN stuff looks like............
  18. Same here.
  19. This "solution", or one similar, was attempted years ago, buy taxing ammo until the cost was prohibitive. It didn't pass muster either. The antis' are trying to strike every iron while they're hot. Heck, they have nothing better to do. As they say, "Never let a good tragedy go to waste".
  20. Dem. from Ill. Chances are better for me winning Lottery, I think.
  21. If you have a powder scale, make sure it's accurate, & use it to check what the powder measure is throwing. Bottom line, this doesn't sound right on a lot of levels.
  22. Welcome to the club.

    Nice hat for sure.
  24. I talked to one of Goodmans people, at their last show in Lebanon. He told me they hadn't been able to get in touch with anyone with any authority to schedule. Folks aren't answering the phone. This seems strange to me, as these folks are normally on the ball, with events at the Expo. The next show is scheduled for June, and several thereafter. No folks, you haven't been looking in the wrong place, it's just not there. RK doesn't have anything local ( Lebanon or 'Boro ), either. Rather strange turn of events ( no pun intended). Just an aside note FWIW, at the last Goodman show in Lebanon, I was there @ 9AM, practically no one there but me. Parking lot near empty. Later in the day, I can't say.
  25. That's true, they do, but without the NRA, we'd be in a world of hurt. Who else has the money to file lawsuits of this magnitude. I don't always agree with everything they do, heck, I don't always agree with anybody.
